Walgreens – Lisle

Ran in to check on the Lumene – they are getting 75 from Wheaton, so call them with your requests.

DO NOT BUY THIS ONE

The $1/1 3M coupon for the Scotch glue stick does not scan and the register does not recognize the code when it’s entered.  If you are dealing with a coupon-adverse store you will be SOL.

The Crest toothpaste currently is giving a double dip, so pick up three of the ones on sale for 2/$4.98, use the $1/1 coupon from the June P&G and you will pay $5.01 and receive back a $2 and a $3 Register Reward.  If you are interested in running this deal through Lisle, you must call Rich Smiley (the new Ex. A) because they will be unable to get any of these through the Wags warehouse and will be ordering from a third-party (and paying more).  If you don’t have an order placed, you will not get product.

Also, for those who want/need more of the Carefree liners, Lisle is having a special promotion where buying two using the IVC and the .50 will get them for you free.

Walgreens and Lumene

Yea!  I can finally post about this.  The Lumene rep was originally supposed to send out 200 of the Vitamin C .5 oz jars via overnight delivery – this was Tuesday.  Wednesday, nothing … Thursday … nothing. You can probably guess about Friday, right?  Well, actually today a small box arrives with six jars in it.  She sent a “starter kit!”  wtf?  They finally track her down (so she can experience her own wtf moment) and tell her that the first order for 200 wasn’t sufficient, so six jars is just asking for torches and pitchforks…

Terry, the Senior BA at the Wheaton Wags just sent me this email:  Lumene order has finally been expedited.  460 units of the Vita C+ Day cream (0.5) @ 3.99 ea.  Will receive next Thursday.  Checkout at Cos Ctr.  A Fabulous product for  FREE!

and I completely agree (well I must, since I ordered all those coupons from Dede)…make sure to call ahead (630/682-2599) to set up a time to ring this stuff up, since even though it’s all one transaction, it’ll take time to scan all the jars, especially with those new piece o’ crap scanners they have.

MotrinPM

The Motrin PM MM deal will start with the July 31 sale.  This deal is not showing up on the insert scans on any of the deal sites, but after much research and checking it has been verified.

As I posted a couple of months ago, the 20 ct boxes will be on sale for $3 with a $3 Register Reward.  The $1/1 coupon from the 6/12 r expires on 7/30, so you must not only place your orders as quickly as possible, but pick it up by Tuesday, August 2.  Wheaton will not accept this coupon any later, so don’t put it off.

While only a slight money maker, it is low tax (about .o5), so we’re making .95 for each box/coupon.  Given the paucity of deals lately, I’ll take it.

ShopAtHome

Okay, I hadn’t checked this site out today before Rachel (aka MUM) emailed me about the Wild Deal…and yes, I’m posting it here because it happens to be probably the absolutely lamest deal I have ever seen:  A .39 Penway 70-page spiral notebook from Walgreens is FREE after the ShopatHome .39 rebate with free shipping – after you reach the $25 threshold!

While I like deals better than most, I think I’ll have to take a pass on this one…

Walgreens

Great news!   The Lumene wheels have finally started rolling.  I just got off the phone with Terry (the senior BA at the Wheaton Wags) who told me that they are expecting a shipment of 200 of the Vitamin C .5 oz jars tomorrow.  This is only the start, since 200 obviously won’t go very far.  The mfr rep is also trying to bring in some of their other skin care lines.

Please call Terry (630/682-2599) or any of the Wheaton managers to place your orders.  I know some of you are looking at sizable quantities, but it might take a week or two to get in the amounts we are used to dealing with.

A side benefit of this deal is that Wheaton now has lots of samples of various Lumene products, so see what the rest of the line can do for you.  Any interest in setting up a Lumene day at Wags with lots of products to test/sample and the manufacturer rep there to answer your questions?

Wags

Starting tomorrow, July 17, Walgreens will have those big MILKA chocolate bars on sale 2/$3.  Use the $1 coupon here (print twice) paired with the $1/2 IVC.  And what’s our favorite word?  FREE!  I would suggest printing these out as soon as possible, as you just know they’re gonna hit their print limit quickly.

thanks to wildforwags

Wags

sorry, sorry, sorry, i completely forgot this:  Steve at Wheaton asked me to let you all know that he ordered lots of the Air Wick .99 deals, so if you’re looking for some, give him a call.

Home again home again

Whew!  Spent quite a few hours on the No Power tour with Rachel, so got way behind on…well, everything.  Although she did spring for lunch at Olive Garden, so that was good.  Finally hit up Wags for my Huggies and Noxzema razors.  Only had 40 razor coupons, so it was 11 Huggies and 40 razors to end up at $8.71 OOP, of which $8.02 was high tax.

Then hit up the Walmart on Rte 53 in Glen Ellyn:  No fly paper; no Cascade trial packs; Advil was ringing at $2.92.  I even had them scan the package, thinking/hoping it was unadvertised at this location, but nope.  So, ymmv indeed.  Sorry if any of you went out and even sorrier that I clipped all those stupid coupons.

Have to make a Jewel run later because my FREE milk cats expire today.

Wags

Coupon still works.

a n d i was “gifted” with another hundred or so inserts with the Noxzema $2/1.  Just remember, even though it only has a life of one week, you can always pick them up at Walmart where the bikini razors sell for $1.97, or .03 legitimate overage.  life is good…

Walgreens

Made a quick run to the Wheaton Wags to see what I could see.  After much discussions, I can’t see how we could have figured out the Huggies sale deal.  The computer was showing $3.49, the cartons all scanned at that price and frankly, if Wags management can’t figure out their computer system, I’m sure not going to be able to… so

Here you see that you CAN get these for .99 after IVC and the .50 mfr from the 6/12 SS.  They had a limited number of these at Wheaton (maybe 30?), so I didn’t take any; I’ll hit ’em up hard on Tuesday, when their deliveries come.  At that time I’ll also take the Noxzema razors and use the .51 overage from buying two as a way to get the Huggies price down even lower.

Again, sorry for the screw-up but if you want/need Huggies, this is an excellent price and Wheaton is the only store (of which I’m aware) that will take an expired coupon back a day or two only.  Do Not Wait Until The End of The Week – you will be shot down.

The 6-blade Wags women’s razors on sale for $3.99 with a $3.99 RR also have the refill cartridges for the same deal.  Wow, it’s been years since I bought refills…
