Walgreens Huggies Wipes

Starting next Sunday, August 7, the LARGE refill packs (184-216) will be on sale for $5.99.  Use the .50 coupon from 7/17 S stacked with the $2/1 August IVC AND the Infant Care booklet code (5519) and you will end up at $1.49 for this LARGE refill.  I just ran it and all the coupons work with no beeping.

Wheaton has punched in an extra large order, so hope, hope, hope.

  1. Any tips on where to find the elusive infant care booklet? At least, elusive for me. Every Walgreens I’ve checked they say that they used to be hanging in the baby aisle, but no longer. Are they only around for a small amount of time? Sorry if this is a lame question.

  2. Go to target and sign up for a baby registry…there are tons of high value coupons in the bag. It’s the gift that keeps on giving mwahahahaha

    • Yes, because they are different coupon codes, the register had no trouble taking them all. You could run this yourself just to see how it works, but remember that the today price is $8.99, so you would have to void the transaction or pay the $4.49 ($8.99 less $4.50). Ouch!

  4. You always mention that you shop at those two walgreens, so I assume they are coupon friendly, can you please let me know addresses. Thanks

  5. yes, please, if you could give us the Wheaton addy. I know for a fact there is no way in hell any of my local Wags will take 3 coupons on one item… so I’d be willing to make the trip westward to Wheaton for this one, since I’m on the Huggies mailing list and have $2 and $1 mfg coups, not just the 50cent ones from the paper!

    • The Wheaton Wags is on the corner of West Loop Road and Naper Blvd., just north of the Danada Square Jewel on Butterfield. The Lisle Wags is across the street from the Lisle Jewel on Rte 53 and Maple Avenue. I like convenient shopping…

Honestly, these Wags are not coupon-friendly…they’re uber coupon-friendly. They will print out pdf coupons and tape them to the products and shelves, will set up the orders at cosmetics to ring apart from everyone else…just great all around.

  6. Will most Wags just punch in the four digit code if you don’t have the infant care booklet? I’m dying to get in on this deal but don’t have that one.

    • Honestly, I’ve heard rotten things about so many stores that I can’t be certain. Wheaton, Lisle, Montgomery are all couponer-friendly and they have no problem with punching in the code, but this is obviously a ymmv situation. If you are buying a buttload and you live/work within 20 miles of any of these stores, I’d definitely suggest using them – much easier on the psyche.

      • If I were I’d be there in a second! Unfortunately I’m way north in Lincolnshire. I’ll give them a shot though and see how it goes. Thanks for the info as always.

  7. Sorry just another question. Does the infant care coupon work the same as the monthly book coupons, where they just scan it once and it takes all the amounts off you are purchasing? Or do you have to have separate coupons for each pack of wipes?

    • Don’t ever apologize for legitimate questions – that’s how you learn. The infant care coupon works exactly like the IVC ones or the weekly ad coupons: scan it once and it multiplies the coupon value by the number of items purchased. easy-peasy, if you have a coupon-friendly store. Make sure they don’t take the coupon out of the book and try to keep it. They try that and you walk out of the store with coupons intact.

And you should move back to civilization – or plan a road trip (40 miles – sheesh!)

  8. Thanks! I’m going to give this a shot tomorrow. Is there a certain order I should do the coupons in though? I’ve heard mfg first, then wags, but does it matter with this crazy dealio with the infant care book and the august booklet, which order they scan those last two? Thanks so much!

  9. SUCCESS!!! Well, almost. After hunting down the extremely helpful and friendly manager and asking about the infant care coupon book, (which he said they haven’t had for a long time) I asked if it would be ok for the cashier to punch in the code. He said sure. Great. So I get 7 packs of the wipes, hand over my .50 mfg coupons, then the August coupon, which takes off $14. At this point I ask the cashier (an older, grumpy man) to punch in the code for another coupon. He says to me, “Why would I punch in another code? Won’t I be SHORT after that?” I say, no, you won’t be short. I spoke to the manager already and he said it’s ok. So he punches in the code and what do you know, it takes another $14 off. I then owe $13, to which I hand over my first catalina. The register beeps, and I know it’s because I needed a filler. The cashier at this point is about to completely lose his mind. He pushes the catalina back at me and angrily says, “it won’t take it”. Instead of fighting him (at this point of course there is a line of 5 people behind me) I just pay and leave before this guy has a coronary over it.

I wish this store was coupon friendly like Lisle and Wheaton…sigh…oh well, at least I got the deal!!! I’m super pumped about that.
