Wags MM (other than Sinex!?)

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m getting it from everybody about the sheer volume of Sinex I’m accumulating:  Just wait until 1) the market runs dry and I’m the only supplier in the state or 2) they issue a recall and pay me $7 a box when I return them to Wag (obviously I would have to visit quite a few locations in the above scenario).  I’m shooting for door number 2.

Was sitting around wondering what crap I could buy to shove down my pie hole.  You know, something that isn’t even remotely healthy, but it’s a MM, so justify it that way… Then I heard the Siren call out “Chex Mix” and I was doomed.

Planned to hit Wags, but time just slipped away.  There is a national catalina on Chex Mix which started today (27th) and runs through February 23rd.

Buy 3 and get $1.50 RR
Buy 4 and get $2.50 RR
Buy 5 or more and get $3.50 RR

Obviously we’re going for the 5 deal – duh – so pick out the ones you like (if you like chocolate, it’s a MM). Coupons are in the November and December GM inserts; .50/1 on the Chocolate and .50/2 for the other flavors. There were a couple of links for .50/1, but they disappeared rather quickly (I got two and then zip!). If I come across any more, I’ll post the link(s).   Luckily the chocolate is one of PITA’s favorites.  If you buy 5:  (5 x .99 = 4.95 – 2.50 = 2.45 get back $3.50 RR.  if you don’t like chocolate – buy 5:  (5 x .99  4.95 – 1.00 = 3.95 get back $3.50, so pay .45 for 5 bags.  If you can locate the IPs, then any scenario will be a MM.

The breakfast of champions

Since I had no luck at another Dominicks, I thought I’d try the one Rachel goes to (I’m stalking her – shhhhhh).  So 12 of the Reeses,  two 50% off chorizos and one 2L of Pepsi Max (not shown) for a total of…..$3.86.  I remember the last time I paid for sausage…but that’s another story in the big city…

and i picked up another Thanksgiving coupon booklet…well, that’s something to be thankful for, right?

Sinex MM update

For those of you waffling about whether or not to buy extra Sinex coupons (or the entire P&G insert), iheartwags shows that this RR goes through 3/26.  The sale itself reappears in the 1/2 – 1/8 Wags ad, so there should be no problem with picking up more of them before the 1/31 expiration date.

I’ve already placed my order for more, a lot more… luckily DH only glances through these posts…

Little Caesars Pizza Promo

I saw this BOGO promo coupon much earlier, but the few times I had this (admittedly mediocre) pizza it was BOGO already.  So this would give you three crummy pizzas for the price of one?  Went to the corporate site and checked it out.  Apparently, BOGO days are long gone (I think ours were delivered on horseback…), and they now have this deal called Hot and Ready pizzas which are always ready, no waiting.  Selection varies with the store, so if you have your heart set on the carnivore special, don’t get freaked by the Hawaiian with extra pineapple staring you in the face.   check first

Here’s the link, folks, if you want to try for two hot pizzas for five bucks (the price posted in the local area website).  Note that you must register before you can print a coupon and you can only print one.  Name and email are required fields, but the cell number is optional.  This deal started yesterday, the 26th and goes through the 28th.  Mangia!

Swagbucks

Search & WinI’ve waffled about this search site for quite some time now; it’s not as all-encompassing as say, Google, but it pays you…hmmmm.  And they have a tab for printing coupons (it’s coupons.com, so print on my site and their site) that they pay you to use – double hmmmm!   So I’m taking the MUM idea of using it to go to sites that I would go to anyway and just bank the points.   I see that many of my viewers use this to get to deranged.me, so obviously they are all way smarter than I!  I’m going to put this as a sticky for the next few days or so to remind you all, that if you’re not yet registered, do it now!  I’ll periodically post new Swag codes as they come up.  By next year we’ll all be swimming in free money!

Just completed my first Swagbucks survey for 50 Swagbucks (which was surprisingly interesting) after having been unqualified for about a bazillion others…

Giveaways – not mine!

Everyone seems to be jumping on the cheapskate wagon lately… and I really have to start going through my email!

I see that Lands’ End has a giveaway currently going on through Facebook.   “Like” them and enter to win one of 100 $25 gift cards.   Contest is through December 27th and the winners will be announced the 30th.

Marathon Gas has a Buy $20 worth of gas for $10 (so “giving” $10).  This is from a new site called CBSlocal.  Limit one card/voucher per account; card will mailed within three weeks.  Hurry, ’cause they seem to have a limited number of cards available.

See any other goodies out there, post a comment or email me and share the wealth.

Wags MM?

Checking through sites, I stopped on Iheartwags.  Score! I see that Wags will once again have the Nyquil RR dealio – which might tie in nicely with the $4 Sinex coupon in this Sunday’s lonely P&G insert.  That’s right, our old friend Buy $15 get $5 Buy $20 get $10 is back!  There is no way of knowing (’cause the ad shows few products), but if the 20 ct (or bonus 24) of the Sinex Day- and Nyquil are included, we are talking some serious cash back…which means we only use those $25 Jewel gift cards on tax!

Buy 4 Nyquil/Dayquil products for $20 ($5/1), pay with $16 in coupons and four bucks in folding green and get back $10 in RRs.  Over $5 MM on each transaction.  I’ve checked  various eBay auctions and prices are still pretty cheap, but again, if you can’t use them they’re expensive…

Why does anyone even bother?

with Dominicks, that is….but first – – –

picked up some more wonderful (Fannie May) chocolate toffee from Hallmark, together with this great card.  Not sure, but I think it’s too good to mail.  Another pound or so of fudge from Fannie May and elastic waist pants, I’m a comin’.

Wasn’t going to drive to Butera for a couple of lousy pancake mixes (especially since I picked up the free cases at Meijer), but found myself driving past there, so stopped in.  You have to understand that many, many years ago (pull up a chair, it’s going to be a while…), before I drifted over to the couponing darkside, I would hit Butera ever week or two because they used to have the most fantastic “deals” on almost-expired products.  Yes, in hindsight that’s pathetic… Check the pancake aisle and see the small containers for 1.19 and the 1.99 size with an empty space.  Grab two of the puny ones and head up to customer service, where I ask to scan for a price check – 1.19.  hmmm.  Tell the girl that I thought they were on sale for .99.  She calls someone and then starts going through the paper, but doesn’t see it.  I tell her that it’s on sale in the Piggly Wiggly ad and (she cuts me off here to saw that they’re not the Pig).  I know, but someone purchased it and they’re on sale here.  (Again interrupt…)  Sometimes the online ads are (so I interrupted her to say that if she would stop interrupting me I could complete my sentences.)  Well, she gets huffy and I know she’s about to say we don’t have it on sale when an older woman comes up behind us and says “That’s the small one.  It’s the larger one on sale, but we don’t have any.”  So I say thank you and hit the road.  And go to my nice, clean, well-mannered Jewel, where I placed a special order for another two cases of the Manischewitz chicken broth and get some more free bakery bread and bananas.  -insert happy dance here- cue Peanuts song

Dominicks, sigh.  All I wanted from you was a few, a precious few, Reese’s cups and some Purina One puny little bags of dog and cat food and the free Pepsi Max.  sadly, it was not to be…First they told me I couldn’t use the candy coupons without buying some first (even if it works on the register) and then they tried to mark down the $2 Purina coupons to .99.  Now, I’m not going for overage here, I was using 1 coupon on 2 bags, but the day they mark down a coupon and then submit it for the reduced amount...well, I’ll eat my hat.  So subtract the candy…subtract the dog and cat food….give me back my coupons and oh, yeah, thanks for the Pepsi Max.  Dominicks should really start worrying about their next generation of customers:  the current crop appears to be roughly 108.

So that’s it for my wonderful shopping.  The sun’ll come up, tomorrow, bet your…

Thin’s been in, but fat’s where it’s at…

I knew it!  An article in today’s Trib describes new research about people who consume full-fat dairy having a more balanced metabolism and being less likely to develop diabetes.  I hate this modern trend towards hamster-piss skim milk, no- and low-fat yogurt, ICBNB [ps.  I can], low-fat ice cream(!), etc.  It’s always moderation, people.  Better to enjoy a small pint of Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia than the tub on wheels of fat-free chocolate-flavored dreck.  Anyhoo, here’s the article.  Print it out, forward it,  just get the word out.

I’m off to run some errands, do a little house cleaning, hit a few stores for free stuff (yeah, what else would I be doing, right?)

Target

I love to lurk around the various sites supposedly devoted to just one store:  totally target; meijer madness, etc., because you can find some great coupons to print and hold ’cause you just know there’s going to be a good sale in the future.

Case in point is this BOGO for Orbit Tropical Remix gum found on the Walmart site, but which I viewed on Totally Target!  So don’t avoid sites just because you never shop at that store or don’t have one close to you – there’s always something good showing…

Rachel at MUM has a post about Eveready being a Energizer company, so the $1/1 coupons in the 10/3, 11/21, or 12/12 S will all give you free batteries from the Dollar Spot in Target.  While you’re there, pick up some free NYC nail polish by stacking the coupons from the December 2010 ($1/1) and January 2011 ($2/2) All You with the Target only coupons from coupons.com.  More nail polish to join the cult of Revlon in the bathroom and computer desk and dresser and…well, you get the idea.  Oddly enough, I mainly wear OPI, but free is a powerful magnet.  Just tried the fast-drying stuff that was free last week at Wags, and I must admit that I’m majorly impressed – dries fast and lasts quite as long as OPI.  And it’s a purty shade of green...
