Montgomery Wags

Made the drive out to our latest Wags, which wasn’t as far as I’d thought; didn’t even have to pack a box lunch!  Sooooo, you see here a shitload (professional blogging term) of Aquafresh training and pump toothpaste.  And for all you nay-sayers – – the apple/banana flavor rocks!  I was kinda hoping the car would break down on the return home so I could finish the tube(s).  The picture here is about 90+ tubes; I spent high tax.  hate high tax

So on the way home realize that we have nothing for dinner and I ain’t about to start cooking.  Remembered the one-day sale on Culinary Circle pizzas.  Well, $3.47 isn’t as good a price as the last time ($1.98?), but then, this time it’s not a computer glitch.  sigh. Ad says “limit 8.”  Ad lies…  Threw a bunch of RRs and OYNO cats at the register and walked out after spending $1.49 in US currency.

Wags updates

Wheaton just called to tell me that they will have additional cases of both Aquafresh toothpastes (pump and training) and Splenda tomorrow afternoon (after 3 pm).  Lisle has it in stock already.

The Wags warehouse has already sold out of the Splenda with fiber.  Not a problem if you are only running this as a MM, since the regular 100 ct boxes and loose product will go on sale for $2.99 (same RRs) starting this Sunday, so if you don’t get the fiber go for the others.

Those of you who have been having difficulty finding either of these products, head on over to Lisle and/or Wheaton, where they love to sell to couponers or Montgomery, where Theresa is doing her damnedest to show the staff just how the big kids roll.  If you need a sizable quantity (100s) of the Aquafresh, then Montgomery is your best bet for a no-limit store.  I would recommend running the Aquafresh separately in the Montgomery store, so that if your total comes up as more than tax, a coupon hasn’t been scanned…just sayin’ i’ve heard things…

that is all…

Splenda coupons

After the crazy prices I saw on eBay and the lack of coupons on Dede, I was hurting…hurting I tells ya.  So imagine how happy I was to see a bunch of them back up on Dede.  They had them – they didn’t – they had them – they didn’t.  I think she now has a large supply:  I was able to pick up 60 coupons from Coupondede for.25 each plus shipping (nominal) for a total of $16.14.  For this little bit of upfront cash I will earn back $90 in RRs.  How?  Well, I’ve taken the clever idea from one of you to run sets of two for $3 instead of the three for $4.  This nets me an extra $10 in RRs.

Aquafresh update

Theresa, the BA at our newest Wags in Montgomery (30th and 34th) sent a frantic email to me very early this am – and I forgot to check my email account until now … bad, bad, Goddess.  sorry Theresa…

Anyway, her original order was mega-huge (shudder to give you the exact number) but she got scared over the sheer volume of potential pumps of toothpaste and reduced it considerably (this was her first deal, after all).  Warehouse not only didn’t decrease the original order, it appears that they may have added instead of subtracted.  So now she is stuck with mega order plus, which is making her nervous.  So those wanting any type of quantity, head on over starting tomorrow.  The nice thing about this Aquafresh deal is that it’s a straight one, no RRs, limits, etc.  Pull up to the register with your cart, hand over the mfr coupons and the IVC booklet and run with it.  I would suggest doing this in manageable groups, so that if it’s necessary to break for other customers you won’t get screwed uip.

Wags Splenda update

Update once again: Coupondede seems to be in and out of the Splenda coupons.  They are currently at about .25 (or were listed as such), but booom!  out of stock.  Leave her your email and you’ll be informed when more are listed.  I just can’t see doing the eBay .75 each thing…

Latest info, peeps!  Steve just called with the following information:  He has now sold out his pallet of Splenda.  Yes, that’s right, folks.  Since I posted this last night, your calls have resulted in zero left to give.  For those of you still wanting/needing your fix, you can call Lisle (they are getting 120 boxes), but I don’t know what, if any, limits Ms. Brown will be placing.

Your next option for this week is to call Theresa at the Montgomery Wags (34th and 30th).  After that you can call Wheaton and ask to be put on next week’s list.  Since this deal runs through the end of April, next week will work, also.  Steve is going to check on availability, etc. at the warehouse.

NoteIf you are planning on an order for next week, please don’t wait to place it because many people/departments will be closed on Friday, so orders and confirmations won’t be processed (this is corporate, not our stores).  If you place an order with Steve he will have someone at the store call you back with either a confirmation and delivery date or a no go call.

and yes, the picture is what Steve does on his days off – rearranges his cash piles…

Wags – Splenda MM? update II

Update 2:  Warehouse has released over 500 of these (an entire pallet) for delivery this Wednesday.  Please call with your orders.

Just checked eBay and they’re selling the $3 coupons for .75 EACH!  Are they all on a crack pipe?

Steve has been trying to increase his order to 500 but is awaiting confirmation from the warehouse.  Please call him if you plan to buy 60 (his current 20 transaction limit) by the end of the month (and the end of the sale).  This is the order that will be delivered this Wednesday… (20 transaction x $4 = sweet MM).

Saw on a full cup that there is a catalina deal going on right now at Wags from 4/18 – 5/15:

Buy 2 Splenda Get $3 Catalina
Buy 3 Splenda Get $4 Catalina.

Use the $3/1 from 4/17 S1…so that’s why Teresa was loading up the Montgomery Wags!  Ran over to the Lisle Wags to check this out, as the RR had been glitchy earlier.  It works!  We ran 3 of the 80 ct Splenda with fiber and a $4 RR printed.  Don’t worry if you can’t find any on the shelves or if you need/want to order more coupons because this deal runs through the end of April and the RR deal into May.  Plenty of time for those coupons to arrive.

On the Scotch band Magic tape front, it’s going to be hard finding any for a few days.  Lisle had zero left on any displays (seems like one person took them all).  Since the deal doesn’t even require you to buy a newspaper, you can see how once Jill posted this it was going to gone.  The good news is that you can get rain checks for as many as you want (just go to different stores if you’re getting grief), since the deal doesn’t give a RR and you can print out as many coupons as you want.  If you want to print out just the Magic tape coupon (instead of printing out two pages of 3M product coupons), click here 3q Magic and get 3 coupons to a page (a great paper saver, right?).

Since I was there, picked up a few (24) Dove bars…$1.04 OOP.

Lisle Wags heads-up

PSA time.  I received an email with the following information and request:  Lisle Wags has placed large orders for the following items:  Aquafresh toothpaste, Always odor lock pads, Stayfree pads, scotch tape, and splenda with fiber.

Although most are special orders, they will still be able to accommodate people looking for these items.  Their next shipment comes in Tuesday, but wait until Wednesday (I’d call and put your dibs in first) to be sure it’s all unpacked.

And don’t forget that the newest Wags in Montgomery also has placed very large orders for most of the above.

CVS, Wags, PetSmart, pet shop, library, Jewel, collapse…

CVS for the Aquafresh toothbrushes and pump. They’re part of the $5/5 oral health care promo, so buying 5 or more brings you down to coupon price.  Sadly, this was all they had on the shelf so ended up .51 OOP.  I’ll check back later in the week for toothbrushes when their next shipment comes in.

Wags was only a quickie stop to grab twelve Capn Crunch clearance boxes using the .50/1 from today’s inserts.  OOP was .11, probably the only thing I’ve bought at Wags for low tax!

On to PetSmart, where I just noticed that they are charging up to 10% tax on some pet food.  Wheaton basically sucks donkey balls when it comes to taxation.  If I had to actually pay cash for this stuff I’d be broke.  They let me run everything in one transaction, using three of the $5 store coupons and the various mfr coupons:  22 cans of Friskies; 40 cans of Mighty Dog; 2 pedigree.  OOP was $4.  Note the coupon matchups were from the prior post.  I’ll hit the DG one another day to empty out my wallet.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  I really hope you are using the PetSmart coupons with your name and PetPerks number on them.  They checked my coupons against my card (!) because they had received a corporate memo that the ones with the blank space where the names/numbers are usually printed are fraudulent (with copies of coupons people had tried to use taped to the registers).  They told me that mine weren’t right because the print type was different than what corporate sent out, but since my name and number were on them and matched my card, that wouldn’t fly (I don’t know why the type would be different, unless I have a mac?).  Either way, they were very courteous and I do not mean to imply that it was anything but a pleasure to shop there.

Stopped at Puppy Parlor to drop off ten Sunday papers (not all mine!) – wait, you actually read the print edition?

Jewel was almost completely out of Fuze – apparently some sonofabitch came in last night and took 500 off the shelves and out of the backroom.  There is a reason why we special order, folks.  Otherwise mgmt gets pissed because there’s nothing left for those regular shoppers and especially today because there was a table set up for sampling.  Hard to sell and sample limited product…

Ended up with four SB milk, 16 Fuze, seven Allegra (for MUM’s House of Plague), Deans light cream and two packages of Jewel brand lima beans.  I used the $2/25 from the Jewel email, coupons on everything else except the cream.  PITA found three FREE jewel veggies cats, so used one.  OOP was $5.13 and I freaked, thinking I’d missed a coupon.  Realized at the very end that my cream alone was $4 – silly Goddess.   I’ll probably hand over a small RR to get cash back when I return tomorrow for more Allegra and Fuze.

NOTE: Jewel warehouse computer had a glitch/hiccup and no Fuze was sent out yesterday, so 17 stores are short.  ouch! Deliveries will be made tonight, so it should be back in stock, although I don’t know of the quantities available then.  Get a rain check.

Wags

This is a little nothing deal, meant to use up the four $4 RRs that needed to go now.  Buy 3 of the G series FIT (one of each line) and get a $5 MIR; the rebate form prints at the register.

Wags Always 2/.50

This deal is working now, although it is not marked on the shelf.  I “bought” two of the Always leakguard 22 pads package for $3 each ($6) which generated a $4 RR.  That’s the usual way, but I then “bought” them again and used that $4 RR to pay – another $4 popped out (I didn’t use/have the coupons with me since I was only running a test).  Wheaton tax was .50 per transaction, so that’s your OOP.

I read that the Always deal is rolling, so each transaction will be for two of the Always pads, use two $1/1 from 4/03 P&G and the $4 RR from either the Biore (roll for another couple of weeks) or, if you’ve already used them on something crazy like food, keep rolling the same RR over and over.  now to find some cheap little filler…
