The Wags, The Jewel and other things…

So we got the Right Guard body wash at Wags, which looks boring, so no pictures.  Then off to Jewel for my 160 bottles of Fuze (special order and rain check).  Now I only have to buy the coupons!  It’s really convenient to get my product and return with the coupons within the next 60 days.

Since the Allegra 5 cts hadn’t come in and none of the local stores the Osco manager contacted had stock, she substituted 5 of the 15 count boxes, which was really, really nice of her.  This, along with the full bag from yesterday’s Target run, is all going to Rachel’s House of Plague.  At first I was going to say I was buying it for my bitch, but then I realized that I’m the one driving all over for the Allegra, so what does that make me?

OK, back to the money aspects…I took the above transactions and broke them down so that I could use those $/$$ store cats that occasionally pop out of the machine.  PITA finds them all the time (what, you thought I’d spend that kind of cash?), just left behind, hanging all lonely, sad and abandoned.  The overage created allowed me to buy lots of produce and the six $4 off clearance packages of strip steaks (7 steaks in total).  So actually, I didn’t really spend more than about twenty bucks plus tax.  damned tax

Ordering etiquette

I received an email from the Lisle Wags that someone who preordered 200 Stayfree did not pick up the entire order – 5 or 6 cases remain.  Now Wags is stuck with it.

Lisle is upset and I don’t blame them.  Any order you place must be picked up in its entirety (unless it’s something like Splenda or MotrinPM, where there’s lots of eager buyers) or the stores will not let you place future orders.  That has always been the special order rule whether at Wags or Jewel.  If you have to cancel, give the store enough lead time to cancel the warehouse order; otherwise, again, you have to take it.

End of PSA.

Wags today

A quick post with no pictures, ’cause Oxiclean looks boring…Picked up 20 packages of the Oxiclean 10-packs and two gallons of Deans milk.  Used a combination of $3/2 coupons and RRs.  OOP was $5.18, which I paid with a Wags gift card.  Tax was $4.20.  grrrrr

Wags 5/1-7

I was holding off on this until I could actually see the coupon, but now Rachel assures me that the 5/1 RP has a BOGO coupon for any product.  This ties in the the BOGO sale on Right Guard and/or Dial body wash and bar soap.  The first Cottonelle link below is now printing out multiple copies – some people have reported 10 prints.  I was able to print out 2 earlier and 6 more just now.  I would probably have gotten more, but someone cut my wireless connection just as I was printing…

Fixodent Denture cleanser is on sale for $3.99 with a $1 RR.  Use the BOGO from the 5/1 P&G insert for two free.  Btw, we use these for cleaning retainers, so if braces and retainers are in your family’s present or future, I’d advise stocking up for free.  In fact, use a $3 RR from Splenda or Post to reduce your OOP.

Noxzema bikini razors are on sale for $3.99 with a $3 RR.  The 5/1 rp has a $2/1 coupon, so slight MM.  Unless you use these or can sell them quickly, it’s not that good a deal.  First of all, it’s high tax on the original $3.99 price (about .32-.35) and there haven’t been any $2 RRs to roll. If you want special orders, contact Steve as soon as possible.

So far I see the G-U-M flossers on sale for $2 with a $2 RR.  You can print this .75/1 here.  I’ll start adding as things start looking better.  If you want/need these things, please hurry and print because it’s bound to hit the print limit soon.

Rachel informs me that there is a $5 pack Cottonelle deal starting Sunday which gives you RRs, so here’s the plan:

Buy 2, use this coupon and this one, together with the $1 from the May IVC booklet.  Spend $7, get $3 RR back, so two bucks for each 12-pk.  You get a higher value RR for buying 3, but not worth the increased cost per package.  Stick with the two package scenario for the biggest bang for your buck.

Don’t worry if you don’t have enough coupons yet; this is the monthly paper deal, so those of you wanting big orders, just call Wheaton or Lisle and place your specials.

Wags Oxiclean and Stayfree

Lisle Wags just called to let me know that they still have a lot of Oxiclean (90) and Stayfree (104) available.  Anyone wanting any quantity at all, head on over.  I just remembered that I have about twenty ordered which I haven’t yet picked up!  While I like those Oxiclean tubs from Jewel, the packets are less messy.

Home again, home again, jiggity jig

‘cept I’m not really gettin’ jiggy with Wags lately.  Remember, when you use the “check stock” button on the Walgreens site, even if the store has one lousy box on the shelf, it shows as in stock.  Which is why I drove down to Bolingbrook to check out a Wags.  No stock but I was able to do the Drew Peterson wife-assault mini-tourouch

Then on to Wheaton to get the rest of my Splenda order.  Well, guess what?  No incoming Splenda, but some of my other backordered items did:  these cartons of the wonderful MM MotrinPM, 7 of my 8 Purex, 8 boxes of Fruity Pebbles, a couple of Stayfree pads and some pocket tissue for fillers.  I was trying to use four $5 expired RRs, which accounts for the cereal.  We’ll eat it or sell it, I just couldn’t see wasting an RR on a non-RR generating item!  MotrinPM and Purex were paid for previously, so that left me with two transactions of four cereal, two Splenda, one Stayfree and a tissue.  Paid with two $5 RRs, two Splenda coupons, one Stayfree coupon and .71.  Got back $9 RR each time.

Love is a many-Splendad thing

clever, ain’t i?  So this involves a quick trip to Jewel to pick up yet more toilet paper for Rachel’s House of Plague.  There are 22 4-pks in there for which I paid a buck each.  I also got a rain check for 20 Oxicleans at $1.50 each.  which may or may not come in.  like the warehouse-suppressed Allegra…grrrr

Then swung by Wheaton Wags to pick up a part of my order of Splenda – I got 52 here.  I was also taking the Luster White and Stayfree pads to use up some expired RRs (toothpaste and pads and  $5 rr and $1.78 gives you $7 RR in return).  I’ll stop by tomorrow to get the rest of my order (after I clip more Luster coupons) on my road trip to locate Splenda.

No-coupon Post cereal Wags deal – Update (already?)

Just got off the phone with Steve.  This Easter weekend is proving to be a madhouse, so he’s asked me to have people comment or email ME with orders for the Post cereal or any other “stuff.”.  He will order for both his store and Lisle, so please get the info to me by Monday morning.

Now I wouldn’t jump for this deal, but others keep drumming it into my head that not everyone shops like me or wants to shop like me and could even just be starting out (thank you MUM), so this is a deal for them.

There is a cat deal running through May 15 on select Post Pebbles cereal: Buy 2 boxes get $1 RR; buy 3 boxes get $2 RR; buy 4 boxes = $3 RR

Since Post Fruity Pebbles goes on sale for $1.99 this Sunday, buy 4 boxes for $7.96 and get back a $3 RR, so your actual cost is $1.24/box.

My recommendation is to roll some $4 RRs and get the cereal as a bonus!  Note that I don’t see any insert coupons out there, but maybe you know of some IPs?  If you throw the Luster White into the pot (@ $4.99) and a Stayfree (@ 2.99) you can use your $1.50 Luster and $1 Stayfree coupons, add three RRs, pay $1.44 OOP and get back $10 in RRs.  If you want to add in your regular Splenda purchase … that cat machine is gonna burn out!

Wags and update on Oxiclean

Running a couple of stores together here, just to make a cooler picture.  Every box of 12 tapes was .58.  I actually bought this as a special request, ’cause just how many rolls of “lint remover” does one family need?  Nasogels (I actually got a total of five) were just to roll over expiring RRs.

Now the Oxiclean deal I mentioned previously looks better in person; in fact, I’m putting in a special order for myself.  It’s the ten-pack Max Force on sale for 2/$5.  Stack the $1/2 IVC with the $3/2 from 4/17 S2 and you’ve got .50 laundry booster (which I would equate in cleaning power to Tide Stain Release).

If you want a special order of any size at all, make sure to call either Wheaton, Lisle or Montgomery immediately so that they can get it on their next shipment. IVC expires 4/30/2011.

Splenda update and Wags deals

Lisle Wags received part of their Splenda order today – tomorrow they will receive the rest of their large shipment.  Wheaton received a few hundred boxes already and will be getting more in next week.  Please call if you want/need the Splenda with fiber ones, because next week’s deal involves the regular ones.

Also of note…the Luster White is now back in stock which finally lines up with the sale starting April 24th.  Wheaton has lots and expects more during the week.  If you wish to place larger orders please call either Wheaton or Lisle.  I’m not sure yet if Montgomery will be able to get in a large amount, but please call to check.

Looking through the rest of the week’s ad, I don’t really see anything interesting.  For those of you who luv the Oxiclean products, you can stack the $3/2 from 4/17 S2 with the $1/2 IVC.  Certainly not a MM, but if you like it…  Viva will be on sale for $5.99/6 pack; use .60/1 from 3/13  expires 4/24 or .50/1 IP click here.  Thought there was a $2/1 on FB, but I don’t see it anymore…
