First a word of caution: You will not find any of the Dole Fruit Crisps at your Wags. It’s not a regular item and doesn’t show up on the order sheets. When Walgreens has items in the ad that aren’t regularly-carried items, they just show up and then the store has to scramble to figure out just why they appeared. Not this time.
So Wheaton will be calling the warehouse first thing Monday morning to get these in stock. The good news is that it’s not a register reward deal, so a rain check will work beautifully and the coupons don’t expire until 6/30. Enquiring minds want to know though: Just how did Wags get to be a multi-billion dollar operation with such dumb shit management?
I ended up using the $2 coupons on the three body wash ($6, 5/15 r) and the three BOGO from the May PG. I also threw in the BOGO deodorant when you buy one (5/15 r). So three body wash and 6 deodorant. I can’t give you the exact total because… there was a screw-up. Apparently, it’s only the 16 oz. body wash that is on sale, but it’s the 12 oz bottles that are stocked (well, except for a few “bonus” bottles). So while buying three generates the $3 RR, the price rings up at $4.99 instead of the $3.33. Wheaton is going to manually enter the UPCs into the computer, so this store will be set, but make sure to watch the register very closely to see if other stores have made the correction. Note that the deodorants have different shelf prices at different locations: Wheaton is $5.49, while others are probably showing $4.99. When you use the BOGO coupons, the highest value is $4.99, so be prepared to pay. Also, the second deodorant you’re getting using the BOGO deodorant coupon (5/15 r), is 50% off (Wags sale marked on shelf), so again, hard to calculate. Just keep handing over the coupons as long as they scan, that’s my advice. The register won’t let you go into tax, so you’re OK.
you can price match the Dole Fruit Crisps at Walmart, and actually they have more flavors. Wags only has the apple cinnamon, as far as I can tell.
Wow, that’s fantastic news…well not the visiting walmart part, obviously. But Free Fruit Crisps. Only have seventeen coupons, but better than a sharp stick in the eye.
I actually had a super nice cashier at Walmart today! She said she price matches everything herself there. Wow, if it could be like that all the time….:)
Hey, you lied to the Goddess! The rathole on 53 not only didn’t have them, Dumbass stocking shelves (it was her department, too) insisted they didn’t carry fruit cups, only cans. So I yelled, “Well what the hell are these, cans?” holding up the Dole fruit multi-cup packs. Probably not my finest hour, but really now… so I’ll just wait for Wags, now, thankyouverymuch.
Right… the ones that I got had 2 cups per pack. I don’t think they even come in cans, because they are microwaveable. I was able to get them in every flavor listed on the coupon at the Walmart in Joliet with no problem.
Sorry I sent you to that rathole 🙁
The clerk stocking the shelves probably nukes cans…
How r they free? They are 1.00 and the q is for .75.
You are completely right. I was going to use my “free” RRs to pay for that .25 and completely forgot that in the real world (if that is how one could describe WM), you have to pay US currency. Well, obviously now I’m gonna wait for Steve’s delivery on Wednesday…I can hit the Fannie May warehouse sale in the meantime…
You know what: I am looking at my Wag’s receipt now that you mentioned about the Gillette BW not ringing up right, I wanted to make sure mine did (it did because I bought the 16 oz, which is labeled as “now 33% more”, which is why I chose those bottles over the 12oz. Good choice, I guess! )
But the thing I noticed on my receipt, when you mentioned about the deodorant ringing up buy 1 get 1 half off (which I checked my receipt for), I also found that the body wash also rings up buy 1 get 1 half off. So on the deal, I got “credits” at the end of the transaction: $1.67 for the body wash and 2.50 for the deodorant–50% off each. I probably should have thrown in another (4th) body wash, which would have cost me 1.67, but then threw in another $2.00 off MQ and another buy body wash get deo free, with that deodorant ringing up $2.50! So, we might be better off getting 4 of each!
here is the way it worked out with 3:
3 BW at 3/10
3 deodorant @ 4.99 each= 14.97
–minus (3) $2/1 BW coupons= -6.00
–minus (3) free deodorant = -14.97
–minus 50% off credits -1.67 and -2.50
total = -.17 (plus get $3RR) so $3.17 MM
If you did 4 of each:
4 BW =13.33
4 deodorant =19.96
–minus (4)$2/1 BW coupons =-8.00
–minus (4) free deodorant = -19.96
–minus 50% credits at end of transaction 2 for BW =3.33 and 2 for deodorant =5.00
total = -$3.00 (plus get $3RR) so $6.oo MM
Does this sound right? I only bought 3, so the first scenario is what I got, although at the time, I didn’t realize they were ringing up buy 1 get 1 half off.
those totals at the end of each scenario are negative numbers…not sure that is clear. The first one you will get overage of 17 cents, the second overage of $3.00. Plus get 3RR for each scenario.
At my Wags the BW did not ring B1G1 1/2 off so no overage for me. Plus the Sunday night cashier screwed up Q’s (like he does EVERY Sunday night!!!) so I had to get back in line and get it fixed -which involves him shaking his head s..l…o…w…l..y while I explain how to fix it. AAAARRGHHH!!!
too much figurin’ for my pea sized brain…gonna sit on the side on this one, and besides,
the men have enough body wash and deodorant, they aint gonna stink for a while
yeah, if she doesn’t know the difference between a can and a cup, she probably does nuke them. Maybe Target has them? The nice thing about the WM ones though was that you were able to get 3 different flavors, whereas at Wags it’s only one. And I found out that Wags one is a single pack, WM is a double pack. (oops! you couldn’t tell from the picture!)
My Wags has ’em. So probably a world record when I’m able to find something at my Wags that deranged you can’t find at yours…
Glad I read this…. just grabbed my receipt and sure enough…. hubby grabbed the 12 oz. body wash and it rung at $4.99 ea. All the shelf tags stated 3/$10 in front of all the Gillette body wash. I guess I will be returning tomorrow morning in hopes to get this somehow fixed or adjusted. I mean if the tags clearly stated 3/$10 shouldn’t they give it to me at that price?
Ugh, this is what happens when you coupon in a rush on the way to church with the family.
Yeah, the store has to manually enter the UPCs for the 12 oz products. The only 16 oz ones were the bonus ones and usually those are the ones that are NOT part of the deals…go figure.
