Got email from the Lisle Wags. They got in about 30 cases of the Cottonelle yesterday (okay, so I forgot to check my emails); those of you looking for this deal, just head on over. Another one of our couponer-friendly Wags – hey, they even let us know when stock comes in!
Started thinking about the lack of Scott toilet paper at Jewel and how I could help those who like the pt but not the tp, or can’t find the tp, so the deal sinks like a stone… So here’s what I suggest: Wags has the Cottenelle 12 packs for $5. Buy two ($10), use two IP .50 coupons ($9) and and the $1/1 from the May IVC book ($7). Pay $7 and out pops a $3 RR “Thank you from Cottonelle” so your actual OOP would be $4, or a two bucks a pack. If you buy 3 packs, your RR is $4, but your price per package is slightly more. Note that this deal can be worked at any Wags; I would recommend running it all over, since most stores will not have sufficient stock in hand and it’s only a one-week promo. Also, some of the packs that say “WOW” on them are actually ringing up at $4 before coupons, so OOP would be $1 each. And you can always use the coupons KC sent us when they screwed us out of our Jewel gift cards.
Just got back from running the pictured Wags deal. Spent $3.03, of which $2.53 was high tax and got back $4RR from the Colgate. Here’s what you are all going to do: Buy the BOGO body wash – use both the BOGO coupon and the $1/1 coupon next to that BOGO coupon in the insert. Since coupons attach to items, you will be able to get $1 overage on each set of two you purchase. In my case, I took Colgate toothpaste, used two .75 coupons from 5/1s and the four bucks in overage from the eight Clean & Clear, leaving me with .50 to pay. The Carefree pads were free combining the FREE coupon in today’s ss insert with the Wags’ .99 sale.
The Pampers deals is apparently working, generating both the $3 RR AND the $5 coupon OYNO of Pampers; unfortunately, they’re screwing us on the wipes, since they’ve now jumped to over five bucks. While the initial price may be higher than our previous scenario, use the Clean & Clear overage to reduce the amount paid. It’s still a great deal for Pampers.
I’ve been reading about the Pampers “Buy $20 get a $5 coupon on your next Pampers diapers purchase” deal. It’s running in all parts of the country at different chains and different weeks. Currently running at Wags, the question is will it continue through next week? Why? Starting Sunday, the jumbo packs of Pampers drop from $10.99 to 2/$18. Use the coupons from any of the following: $2 P&G home mailer; $1.501 5/1 P&G; $2.50/1 P&G hispanic markets and the $2 Wags coupon from the Infant Care booklet.
First transaction:
$18 plus a package of wipes (to get over the $20 threshold), say $3 (just to be high) and you’re at $21. Take off $3 for diapers and .50 for wipes from the P&G 5/1 insert and $2 for each pack from the Wags coupon. You pay $13.50 and get back $3 RR, so $10.50 for all three, plus the $5 Pampers coupon.
Second and succeeding transactions:
$21 less $5 and $1.50 and $4 or $10.50 and get back $3, so $7.50 for all three. Obviously, the more high value coupons you can access the cheaper this would be. With the $5 and the Hoy $2.50, you’d pay $9 and get back $3, so $6 for all three.
Quick note that since this week has a BOGO on Clean & Clear 16 oz body wash, you need to order up on the BOGO coupon from 3/27 S. This is great timing, since the coupon expires 5/15/11!
next week?
Yes, it’s next week. I’ve added the -14 to the heading. Thanks for catching this.
It’s not showing when I opened the page… not everyone will read the comments.
For some reason, the updated version was only on “autosave” and do not even ask me why. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. It’s fine now.
Thanks! No… I don’t have OCD… 🙂
WAIT?! No RR?!
sucks that its not a money-maker right??
wow, are we that jaded already to not want to buy something unless its a money-maker!
While I agree that MMs are the best, we use enough body wash that free works for me. Now if a MM should appear on the horizon, another back up the truck moment will be shared by all…
Goddess
Can you post the coupon code for the Pampers from the Baby Book. I never found one and I am pretty sure Wheaton will put it through with the code. TYVW 🙂
They absolutely will! Here is the code for everyone: 055215. If a cashier says they need the coupon (not that we have ignorant cashiers/mgrs at our Wags), inform them that not only was the booklet not distributed in quantity, many Wags didn’t get them if they weren’t tagged as a baby/child store (one that sells a higher than normal volume of childcare items). So you could only pick them up if you shopped at another location, not YOUR Wags. and you’d be happy to transfer your business to that Wags, you tell ’em.
5521 is all the cashier will need
when i did the wags diapers weeks ago at Wheaton the daytime cashier knew the code and didn’t need the book
Question ~ Are any WAGs that you know of taking special orders for Clean & Clear, or is it too late? I can’t get to Walgreens on Sunday, and I’m afraid of missing this.
THANKS!
I’m not sure about the status of the warehouse stock, but call Wheaton, Lisle or Montgomery. I believe cut off for orders for Lisle and Montgomery is coming up quickly, Wheaton is early Monday or Tuesday. I definitely wouldn’t put it off. The sooner you contact the store, the sooner they can call in a quantity order and get a hold placed on it at the warehouse.
Orders placed this week will come in (if available at warehouse) during normal shipments on Wednesday and Thursday.
Do you get 3.00 back or 5.00 ….sorry kindda new at this and just want to make sure
thanks
Both. Well, that’s what we’re hoping, since Amazon is screwing everyone on the diaper deals (grrr). You get a $5 coupon good on your next purchase of Pampers products and a $3 RR. The $5 coupon is based on your purchase of $20 or more P&G products and the $3 RR starts Sunday for buying the two jumbo packs at 2/$18. Let me find a picture of the $5 coupon…

When does the coupon code from the baby book expire?
Like all the store coupons in the booklet, it doesn’t expire until 12/31/2011. woot!!!
I went this a.m. to the Wags on Orchard and tried the deal but 1) the cashier said the Pampers in the booklet only takes it off 1 package not 2 and since it didn’t scan she (with a huff and puff) had to put it in manually. 2) It only generated a $3 RR and a $2 oyno of Pampers. Bitchy cashier and I hadn’t had my Mother’s Day coffee yet so it wasn’t a good match. 🙁
Wrong on all counts. Coupon takes it off of both packages. Take it back with your RR and coupon and go to a Wags where the cashiers haven’t failed the Hooters employment exam.
Goddess please crusade eastward. It is a BEATING every time you try to work a deal in the Southwest suburbs. I couldn’t even get them to accept one coupon much less two. Jewel is no better – I tried to turn in some (10) Scott coupons at customer service and was told that they should have been used on my “next” order on another day. Call a manager? It was the manager…..
Wheaton WAGS would not let me use both the BOGO and $1 coupon for the Clean & Clear! I didn’t have them check with a mgr, since I thought Wheaton WAGS is typically very knowledgeable regarding coupons. Shouldn’t of they taken both?
Is this one of those slippery-slope kinds of question? ’cause the right answer is no, you can’t use both. The dark side answer is “yes” I’ve used both. If I have other items to use up the overage (Colgate), then the $1 coupons attach to one of the C&C. Only time there really is a problem is with those stupid new registers. Next time go through the cosmetic register and be all by your lonesome. grrrrr.
