Actually, this is a trick photo because the Thomas products came from Dollar Tree a few doors down – see what the Jewel shelf tags read! What I wanted was the Cabot cheese on sale for $3.50 because there’s a $1.50 Ibotta rebate (limit 5) and Cabot is a good brand. If you sign up with my referral code – MTXFAG – we’ll both earn $10 on your first receipt scan!
No Saturday Sampler, but there’s a Flash Sale today on Goose Island beer and shandy. Since shandy is usually a warm weather beverage, maybe Jewel corporate has been in touch with the weather gods about the next few months.
Just came back from Jewel where the main shelves of Fisher peanuts (all sale varieties) were wiped out, leaving only a couple of shelves on an end cap. If it’s so sad on the first afternoon of a sale, I would not bet any money on Friday shopping. They did have lots of the pretzels, but Pita read the ingredients and took a pass…or would that be a piss?
The Jewel preview ad offers quite a few $1 produce items worth grabbing, like mushrooms, coleslaw, bagged russet potatoes & onions and a smoking hot price on a 36 oz container of Fisher’s peanuts ($1.99 once you’ve clipped the $7 digital coupon).
No clearance cart out :(, so loaded up with more of the 50¢ deals on rice, oatmeal and broth. There’s an Ibotta rebate for $2 (limit 5) on Perdue breaded chicken products & they’re BOGO, so 50¢ each after rebate; Bumble Bee chunk tuna in oil is 50¢ with a 25¢ Ibotta rebate (limit 5). btw, I saw this on a

Got another of those $15 off $35 Amazon Fresh coupons (think I’m up to 5), so I’ll be stocking up on half and half, toilet paper, potatoes, onions, tissue and things like that, since they won’t go bad or to waste around here. But thought I’d check out the Jewel produce since Brussel sprouts are $2.99/lb at Fresh and the Gorton’s fish might be a couple of bucks cheaper, but Jewel has them as a BOGO, so much better.
I’ll hit up Jewel for 7¢ tuna and Pita had a reward expiring today, but those are the only Jewel items in this picture. What a change, right? The Hunts fire roasted tomatoes were $1 at Dollar Tree (as were Ro-Tel and Ramen 6-pks since they were on the $1 Extra Value shelves) – it was $1.49 at Jewel. And you can’t beat their Brownberry Ovens bakery prices!
