The Jewel 10 for $10 sale includes the Fisher trail mix varieties. Use the $1 from 2/5 SS for some free trail mix! Coupon says for nut products, so as long as the variety has nuts, your conscience is clear. Of course, the coupon works on the cookies and chocolate ones, too, if you’ve already beaten your conscience into submission (I ran it already).
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I’m going to give you a rundown of what I purchased for $30.75 at Ultra and compare it to the same or comparable items at Jewel (sorry, Jewel, but you’re gonna lose big time):
Centrella corned beef was $1.48/lb vs. $1.99 for comparable at Jewel.
cabbage was 10¢ a pound vs 3/$1 at Jewel.
dozen large eggs were 78¢ vs $1.79 at Jewel.
El Milagro tortillas were the same price, 39¢.
The Van de Kamp fish sticks were $1.88 – I used a rain check from last month – now they’re $4.79!
Centralla cheese blocks were 99¢ – I used a rain check from last month.
Picked up a 5-lb bag of carrots for $3.99 and a large bag of small red potatoes for 3 lb/$1; sweet potatoes were 50¢ a pound.
The corned beef, cabbage and eggs along would have been almost $6 more this week at Jewel – I can’t say what the difference in other things are, although Jewel has their green grapes on sale for $1.28 and they’re 88¢ at Ultra. This is definitely the week to be at Ultra, although it pains me to say so…
Reach floss is part of the 10/$10 promotion that started today (actually started ringing last night) and ends on Wednesday the 14th. Use the $1 Reach coupon in the 3/4 rp to score FREE dental floss!
Lisle has placed an order for 300, which will arrive Tuesday. If you are looking for a sizable quantity, please call and place your order as soon as possible; they have an order going out this afternoon. The coupon has a 5/31 expiration date, so all you have to do is get a rain check and then pay when your order comes in. WeClipUSave has coupons for 10¢ each with 872 in stock or use Dede or a preferred eBay seller (although eBay has 20 coupon limits).
Update: Finally read the current Jewel ad (I know, I know, but the damned thing was so boring!). There’s a buy two get one free deal on the Fresh Express salad, so I should have picked up in multiples of three for totally free kits – I’ll hit ’em up tomorrow for more of these cause they’re totally tasty and totally priced right!
Jewel has the Fresh Express salad kits on sale for $2.99 through tomorrow (the 7th) only. Stopped by earlier today and picked up four bags of the Ceasar blend (and a clearance cranberry wasabi sauce for 50¢ – it’s good!). Handed over four of the $2 coupons from the February edition of the Tony Tantillo Magazine (Dominicks). It’s the same pdf coupons we had for the spinach, so if you printed it then, you’re in luck ’cause it’s no longer available.
Four salads scanned and then a $2.99 Fresh Express kit coupon came off, together with my four $2 coupons! This brings the price down to 97¢ plus low tax for all four or about a quarter each!
Found more hair color on the clearance end cap in the Osco section at Lisle today: Four Clairol nice n’ easy and one Garnier HerbaShine – all were marked $, so FREE after the $2 Clairol coupons from 2/26 S and the $2 Garnier from 2/5 rp.
Keep checking and remember: Buy now and return within 60 days with your receipt and coupons and you’ll get your money back, even if the coupons have expired in the meantime. If they were valid on the date of purchase, they’re valid when you return with them. That’s corporate policy.
