Check your mail

This card came in today’s mail addressed to my non-couponing husband.  Now just what mailing list were they trolling from, anyway?  A new Chick-fil-A opened up recently in Wheaton, near Danada Square plaza  – the home of the Dominicks 1 booklet per person coupon nazis.

Love the cows, but love the coupons on the back even more:  Free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich; Free Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit and Free Chick-fil-A nuggets kid’s meal.  No purchase necessary and don’t expire until February 19, 2011.

Spanish coupons

Must Use Spanish Coupons

For those of you new to this way of life, don’t just depend on coupons.com, etc., to fulfill  your ip needs:  there are many sites where English is optional!  Case in point:  I signed up for Nestle coupons in Spanish which have proved useful for those times when you just need a couple more coupons for a cat deal. Interested?  click here and register.

Amusing anecdote:  I recently read on a message forum about a shopper who was told by the customer service supervisor that she would allow them to use the coupons this time, but Spanish coupons were only supposed to be used by Spanish speakers.

Free Clairol Haircolor – GOT MINE!

Clairol is giving away 100,000 coupons for their new Nice ‘n Easy Color Blend Foam starting at noon EST, from January 24-27 (25,000 per day) to those who “Like” them on Facebook, so click here and go for it.  Usual deets:  limit one per household or name, must be 18 or older.  USE OF MULTIPLE ADDRESSES OR P.O. BOXES TO OBTAIN ADDITIONAL COUPONS IS FRAUD AND MAY RESULT IN PROSECUTION. MULTIPLE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED OR RETURNED. hehehehehehehehe

Ooh, ooh, ooh

or stuff I keep forgetting to post about…

If you’re looking for the $70 Football coupon booklets, avoid the Danada Square Dominicks.  An empty display at the front door with no other display anywhere in the entire friggin’ store and most employees clueless.  Asked at cs and the young man gave me one.  You know you’re screwed when they’ve turned young men into coupon nazis.

Update on the K-Clark $25 Jewel gift card rebates: Peeps who sent in for their rebates within the first few days of the promotion have already started getting their cards in the mail.  Catch is that they are coming CERTIFIED MAIL!  Yep, so far it’s 100%, so if you get a notice in your mailbox, that’s what it is.  Please notify any and all who may or may not be getting a gift card in the mail so they’re aware of it…

Clean for a Year

gimme cash or jewelry, don’t remind me of dirty laundry and dishes. Anyway, for an entry into the Family Dollar Win a Year’s Supply of Gain Products, click here.   I do like the Gain dish soap we were getting for free the past couple of months (thanks P&G) and a year’s supply of Gain laundry detergent sitting in reserve would go a long way towards that fear that at some point in the year I might actually run out of soap!

Free pozole at Chipotle Jan. 19th

Chipotle will be adding pozole to their menu starting tomorrow, January 19, at their Illinois and Wisconsin restaurants (it’s already offered in Denver) and the first 50 customers at each restaurant will get a complimentary chicken pozole bowl.

Pozole (for non-Mexicans) is a flavorful chicken soup made with roasted tomatoes, cilantro, limes, rice, chicken and cheese.   kill me now before i hunt out the tent and sleeping bag…

Bank of Wags II

They’ve changed the game plan on us, peeps.  No longer are they taking the $3 store coupon before the mfr coupons.  Am I upset?  Of course.  Store mgr is going to let the higher ups know that the wording does not indicate that a mfr coupon is a “discount.”  And know something else?   The  people in marketing have run this race before – it’s not a surprise to them.

So, while I couldn’t get the absolute cheapest price on my Sinex, I did quite well.  In fact I completed 12 transactions, spent $52.20 (including tax) and got back $120 in RRs, or a $67.80 profit.  boo hoo ’cause i didn’t get more?  not this camper.

Thrown into the mix are the six packages of Homestyle mac for .1666/each (sale 3/$5, $1 1/16 s coupon; $1/2 ivc) and four of the Blue Diamond almonds (I didn’t use almond coupons, ’cause I had too much overage already – so sue me).

So since I still have 19 of the $3 coupons, my game plan just changes:  1 Joint Juice and 2 cans of Blue Diamond almonds.  $14 less .75/2 blue diamond (10/10 or 12/05 s) less $3 Wags equals $10.25 plus tax.  Pay with Sinex and get back $10 in Joint Juice RR.  lather, rinse, repeat.

If they run out of the Joint Juice or you want to substitute, go for the Appetite Control Spray, which will hopefully stop you from eating all those almonds…

Check your mperks coupons!

Meijer added a whole group of deals to the program.  I checked my account and have a $5/5 coupon, bunch of “off” produce ones, and other good things.  I’ve also read of free 1/2 gallons of milk, $2/$2, $10/$30 and various other combinations.  If you haven’t yet registered your cell phone number with them or need to check your current coupons, click here.  Hey, any time they want to give me free stuff, I’m on it.  Besides, we have to go there for the SB milk anyway!

Free after rebate

Saw this on Meijer Madness:  Get back your cost from a purchase of a 7 or 8 lb. bag of World’s Best Cat Litter using this form.   This rebate period starts today (the 17th) and runs through March 18, 2011.

I occasionally use this stuff and must say the claims are accurate.  Very light (well, duh, since it’s not clay) and works extremely well.   And at ten to twelve bucks a pop – it ain’t cheap!  One thing I have noticed, though, is that using expensive litters (Dr. “somebody?”) means far less clean-up and virtually no smell if you put off cleaning the boxes for a whileshut up

Damned shame this rebate wasn’t out when we had those lovely PetSmart pdf coupons…

Bye-bye pot stamps

Last day for the stamps, so I decided to run the Perdue chicken strips rebate purchases while I could get the most mileage (free isn’t good enough).  Each transaction included 2 boxes of the chicken (for the Purdue MIR) and other assorted items for which I had free or greatly reduced coupons to bump up the total to $10.  Then I brought that balance down with RRs.
