Wags for cheap wipes

The Huggies wipes pictured are on sale for $1.99. Use the 50¢ mfr coupon from 6/17 S with the $1 coupon in the July IVC.  Note that the item pictured in the July book is the larger plastic case (also says 64 ct), while these are the 56 ct  refills or travel pouches.  The coupon scans with no trouble, but again, ymmv.

Ivory – gonna build a wall

with apologies to Pink Floyd...today’s P&G insert has a $1 coupon for any Ivory personal cleansing product.  Yeah, guess no one could spell S O A P.  Use it at Walgreens this week where the 3-pk is on sale for 99¢.

Wags Coppertone $10 RR rollover – OOP $1.94 ?????

Honestly have no idea how this amount was determined, but it was 9:55 and I needed to clear out.  Two transactions:  Used $10 Bayer RR, $5/2 Coppertone mfr coupons and the $1 coupon from the skin care guide.  Tossed in the Nips on sale for 79¢ with the in-ad coupon.  Each transaction was $1.94, mostly high tax.  weird

Bayer RR roll into Coppertone this week ($1.29 each!)

If you ran any of the Bayer $10 RR deals this week, you can easily roll them into Coppertone Sport sunscreen.

This week at Walgreens, Coppertone is Buy two products, get a $10 RR, so buy two at $9.79, use the $5/2 mfr coupon from 6/24S and the $1 Coppertone Wags coupon from the Skin Care Guide.  You’ll need to throw in a cheap filler for the RR to attach to (Laffy Taffy is always cheap).  Pay $19.58 less $7 less $10 Bayer RR, or $2.58 plus filler plus high tax.

Mitchum IP for free deodorant

Almost forgot this one:   Mitchum deodorant will be on sale at Walgreens starting July 1st for 2/$6 with a $4 RR when you buy two.  Print two coupons from each computer and clip the coupons from the 6/24 S insert for FREE deodorant.  Even if you don’t need/use Mitchum, it’s a very, very decent donation item. $1.00 off any Mitchum or Mitchum for Women product

Wags Suave, Fusion & packing tape

Boy, the cat machine was sure wonky today!  This morning I picked up two of the Suave shampoo and got the $2 RR.  This afternoon, nothing.  Tried again and it worked.  Fantastic deal on the clear packing tape – 99¢!  This is seriously cheap, so stock up time (I got 15 and would have gotten more, but sale is good through 30th).  Tried to pay with a few $5 RRs – one didn’t work, said it didn’t match any product!  Really?  That happens to be a good thing with RRs!  Handed over an identical $5 RR and it scanned with no problem.  Handed over the hinky one…and it scanned.  See what I mean?  Used one of the $10 Bayer RRs to pay for the two Fusion razor/cartridge items I was buying.  No RRs generated first or second time.  Asst mgr couldn’t get it to work, either.  It was on the shelf tag, and hey, I thought I was doing a strictly legit transaction!  Finally got it to print by using TWO 8 ct cartridge packs.  This would have been a $60 purchase, so even with the $10RR, a bad judgment call.

I would not advise trying this deal at any unfriendly-to-couponers Walgreens.  As a matter of fact, had the Suave RR not printed at a bad store, I would have probably been told that the sale/RR promotion was last week and it’s over now…

$10 MM at Wags

The Spend $20 on Bayer products and get $10 in RRs includes the three varieties of low-dose aspirin:  orange and cherry chewables and the regular low dose variety.  These 20 ct boxes are priced around $3, depending on your location.  I’ve heard some locations have this for $2.99 – the Steeple Run price was $3.49.  So depending on your price and tax, you could pay as little as ZERO plus low tax or has much as 94¢ plus low tax to get back $10 RR.  Suhweet!

As I’ve said in the past, the best Walgreens deals always seem to be the unexpected ones.  I had no idea that the low dose aspirin would be part of this deal because let’s face it, there was that wonderful $3 coming out!

I’d suggest placing orders with your local Walgreens (or a coupon-friendly store) and then ordering coupons to be delivered in two days.  That way you won’t waste $$ if the warehouse is out, while still having enough time to do some serious damage at Jewel before July 1.

Rolling the cats at Wags

which is a phrase only a couponer would understand!  Have lots of the $10 Brainstrong and $6 generic Prevacid RRs to roll?  Couple of suggestions pictured here:  For a $10 roll, use the Mentholatum and Colgate with either the Reach floss or two Suave shampoo and/or conditioner.  There is a 50¢ Colgate coupon in 6/17 s (or 75¢ from 6/03 s), so pay $10.25 or $10.50 and get back $9.50 in RRs and another two weeks to coast.

If you have a bunch of $6s to roll, your best bet would be the Mentholatum.  You’re giving up a $6 and only getting back a $5, but it’s a smooth roll.  If your store won’t mark down the RR (product is $5.99), have them bump up the price to $6.  Either way works.

Walgreens 7/1 – Free Mitchum w/ this IP

$1.00 off any Mitchum or Mitchum for Women product I’ve held off posting anything on this 7/1 week nothing is truly special.  The 2/$6 for Mitchum price with a $4 RR only works if there’s a high enough coupon. I’ve heard that the 6/24 insert will have a $1 Mitchum, but haven’t yet seen it. This $1 Mitchum IP will make the stuff free no matter what we may find. Print before the rest of the nation does so…

Walgreens 6/17-

Not much going on the next week or so:  Here’s the best of what I see.  Remember, though, that the best Walgreens deals are the surprise ones!

Mentholatum Pain Relief Deep Heating Lotion is on sale for $5.99 with a $5 RR.  No coupons.

Colgate Total Advance or Total Gum Defense is $3 get back $2.50.  There will be a 50¢ coupon in that Sunday’s paper, which makes it FARR.  I was able to pick up a few sheets of coupons with $1 amounts from my dentist – check with your’s, because now it’s a 50¢ MM.

Suave Buy 2 get $2 RR.
Mousse, hair spray, styling products, kids shampoo – $3
Professional line – $3.49
Suave Naturals body lotion (18 oz) – $3

5/20 rp has coupons for most of these items, but the best one to me is the BOGO lotion one:  Buy two, pay $3 and get back $2, so a buck for two bottles.  Note that these 5/20 coupons expire on the 17th, so you’ll have to hit up a Wags on the first day because, while the registers may give you a sale price on Saturday, your RR will not print before Sunday because it’s run by Catalina Marketing (and no, your manager cannot force one to print).

The Butterball chicken broth is 2/$1, so slightly more than our usual filler, but something that you can actually use!
