I was in no hurry to pick up more mouthwash, even free or almost-free, but a reader ran this deal yesterday with no problems – today it didn’t work. So the question was: Is this deal still working and she just experienced a hiccup or did they somehow kill the deal?
Buy two Scope mouthwashes and get a $3 RR. The pictured bottles are also part of a monthly B1G50% deal (tags are under the RR shelf tags). Use two 75¢ coupons from the 7/29 P&G and, depending on what registers you have, you will either pay zero or 24¢ (50% off the lower-priced bottle) and high tax. Ran the deal 6 times and got 12 bottles of mouthwash and six $3 RRs. the things i do for my readers…
The great part: These RRs do not state “redeemable only at Walgreens.” My guess is Wags lost the pissing match with P&G. I headed over to Jewel and bought some frozen EE ravioli for $3.29, used a $3 RR and paid .35 in cash. If you are unsure of your Jewel’s acceptance, please print out the Jewel-Osco Coupon Policy Summer 2012 and carry it with you. They’ll probably be happy for clarification.

Yeah, can we make sure Lisle Jewel night staff knows this about the wording on the RRs? I do mostly night shopping these days, and man – the night crew (management included) made me feel like such a jerkoff trying to use these, keeping me in the self check out lane for over 10 minutes, pulling the “we’ll do it just this one time” crap.
Names, please, because I shop there quite frequently at night and have never had a problem. Email me privately and I’ll speak with the store director tomorrow and make sure all employees actually read the policy, not just skim it.
any word on whether this is still working? thinking about doing a web order and could really use some mouthwash for the boys for school starting and LOVE the no wording about wags only on the RR. so, that would also mean that all the RR deals at wags (ie clairol, etc) that are P&G wont have the dreaded wording on them either, right?
If it’s a web pick up (as opposed to the Walgreens.com), then yes, there shouldn’t be any problems at all. And for right now, the P&G wording should remain, as it has in the past. I would recommend printing out the Jewel coupon policy and carrying it with you, though, for your Jewel purchases.
