i was just driving by this wags, see…
and btw, i used four of the regular and four of the premium coupons and no one blinked an eye.
Checked in with Wheaton Wags – they’ve ordered either 500 or a thousand (I forget) of the Degrees, which will come in on Saturday at the Lisle store (they’re piggy-backing onto that store’s delivery). Call and ask when they will make it up to Wheaton.
Another ten Magnum bars from Danada Square. OOP was .17. I’d guess they had 20 or more left. Didn’t check on the cheese ’cause I forgot.
I made a mistake when typing; see lined out figures and correct ones. sorry.
According to Catalina Marketing, the Degree Register Reward promotion started August 8th and runs through September 4th: Buy one two Degree and get $1 RR; buy two three get $2 RR; buy four get $4 RR. Well, obviously the buy 4 is the way to go, but just in case you find an odd one or three left over…
Note that I am not telling anyone to buy or not buy coupons (CouponDede has the $1 coupons for .15) because there is no guarantee that they will keep the UPCs for the smaller sizes in the promotion or that the Wags warehouse will ship product to the stores. Do what you want, but I would move quickly if you do decide to purchase the coupons.
I really meant to post this MM deal earlier, but while I was out testing it I got an emergency call from a friend whose van broke down in Darien. So out I go, pick her and her little dog up and run the taxi over to Oak Brook…just got back.
Saw earlier this evening that, for some reason, the Degree travel deodorants were generating $4 RRs when you purchase four. Some regions got a .75 coupon in the 7/31 rp, but Chicago rocked hard with a buck one. Really sounded too good to be true, especially since nothing showed on the hand scanner at Wheaton that the product was generating any RR or was on sale. Figured I’d try it anyway and it worked! Buy four of either the men’s or women’s small size Degrees, either .99 or 1.19, depending on the store, hand over the coupons and pay high tax…then out pops a $4 RR. SWEET! btw, forget Lisle, Steeple Run, Wheaton and Naperville Wags on Ogden…
Coupons.com just released a $2 Expo dry erase marker coupon (under office supplies).
Walgreens will have these on sale NEXT WEEK (8/14) for $3.99, so you can score two packs for FREE using the IP with the $3/1 from the August IVC. (Note: The ones on sale this week are the 4-pk; next week’s sale is on the 6-pk with better colors) Head on over to all your computers and PRINT, PRINT, PRINT! These coupons will be long gone by next week’s sale. Remember, you’re stocking up for the entire school year.
Also on Coupons.com (probably the 3rd page under food) is a $1 off any Kettle Brand product over 4 oz. yum. (shhhh, saw this on MUM’s site)…
And I just saw this on MUM’s site: $1 off Kettle Chips. This is also on coupons.com, but sneaking in through another window.
This week’s Walgreen’s ad has two coupons for Carmex, one on the overleaf page (BOGO) and one in the actual ad (.99). Both worked, just wasn’t sure just how they would ring, so tried it using each coupon first. ALL ads carry the overleaf page.
Bottom line is that each way resulted in the same price: .67 (plus .09 high tax) for two tubes/jars of Carmex; the register took off $1.31 and $1.02. There are no mfr coupons out there, but many of you love this stuff and I guess it’s a fair price to pay. Note that there will be a RR deal on a new Carmex flavor/type in a month or so which should make it free, but I’m not certain if the deal will apply to all Carmex products. Either way, it won’t hurt to stock up.
Lisle has no Keri lotion; never came in. I was only throwing it in to roll the $3.50 Cottonelle RRs – always have a fallback plan. Wheaton has about 80 of the Keri lotion, but limited amount of the Huggies; should get more in the Tuesday delivery.
The Lisle Wags was resetting lots of grocery items, so used them as fillers. Tabasco was .57 and using that plus two
wipes and all applicable coupons brought me down to .05 plus .88 in tax. Last transaction was with a .24 can of tuna and the Crayola sale ($1 with $1 RR). Don’t need crayons, but it only cost me tax and the ability to use another RR.
Here are some shots of various clearance items; these are serious clearance prices.
You’re looking at my 123 jars – FINALLY! Give Wheaton a call and pick up your jars. Terry thought I was going to sell some of these, but honestly, I really like this cream, so why not keep it. The 123 puny jars equal slightly more than 36 full size jars (over $750 retail) …hmmm, maybe I don’t need quite so many…
While there I saw lots of clearance
baby stuff, so
check out your local Walgreens for these resets. Made Steve bump up the Huggies wipes order even higher. We’re doing some serious shopping this weekend.
Starting next Sunday, August 7, the LARGE refill packs (184-216) will be on sale for $5.99. Use the .50 coupon from 7/17 S stacked with the $2/1 August IVC AND the Infant Care booklet code (5519) and you will end up at $1.49 for this LARGE refill. I just ran it and all the coupons work with no beeping.
Wheaton has punched in an extra large order, so hope, hope, hope.
Just got off the phone with Steve. Apparently corporate pulled the entire campaign (which explains why it didn’t show up in the ad or with Catalina). Wheaton ordered well over 500 of these from the warehouse months ago, to avoid a non-delivery problem like the last time. Lisle has been frantically ordering them every week but to date nothing has shown up, which leads us to believe that there is, once again, a problem getting product from the manufacturer. If the warehouse has been out of inventory for the past month or two, Wags was just trying to prevent another Crackerfuls SNAFU.
Bottom line, though, is that anyone who ordered coupons (include me in this group) is screwed. And no, I’m not happy… Lumene appears to be on track (and in transit) for delivery this week.
