Good news and bad news on the Huggies wipes refills homefront:
Even though the .50 mfr coupon expired yesterday, there is another one .50 one in the 8/14 RP with a 9/10 exp date, the IVC goes through the end of August and the Infant Care codes are all good through 12/31. No product has come in from the warehouse, but we now have a few more weeks to wait for delivery. And I hope you all got rain checks.
The IP on the Advil is beeping on the Children’s and Infant Drops items, even though the coupon clearly states for any Advil product. Our Wags have no problems pushing them through, but just a heads up in case you’re shopping at a non-coupon friendly location. If you have coupon Nazis to deal with, use the $5/3 coupon in today’s RP stacked with the Infant Care Booklet code 5520. Your cost for the Children’s Advil will be higher (about $1.99 each when you buy four), but no beeping – your call. Note that none of the 8/14 insert coupons work on the infant drops.
The Expo dry erase markers will only be free if the mfr coupons are marked down to $1.98 each (instead of $2) before the IVC is scanned. Otherwise you’ll get $9 from the IVC instead of the $12 you should get.
The Revlon nail polishes shown will all give you overage; this selection includes regular and scented polishes, but not nail treatment or fast-drying lines. $3.99 less the $2 Wags coupon from 7/24S and $1 mfr from 7/17S or 8/14S. Spend .99 + high tax and get back a $3 RR. Get ’em while they’re hot, guys.
Is there a limit on the number of rain checks you can request? I stocked up last week on the wipes, but of course am now thinking I should have ordered a ton more. Even without the .50 coupon I thought $2 for a bag of refills was a great price.
Interesting question – it really depends on how anal your store is. I’ve heard from people who were limited to 1 or 6 or any arbitrary number in between: I took a rain check for 20 of the wipes. I don’t believe there is an official policy on this, it’s left up to every store’s discretion (or lack thereof).
And you’re right about stocking up on anything. When you think you’ve got enough, take a few packs more. Better to have a few left in your stockpile with a quickly-approaching exp. date, than have to run to Jewel and face a full price scenario.
If anyone is willing to spare a raincheck, i have tons of coupons i can trade, never made it to wags due to no money last week but now i have a little and could really use the babywipes.
Where do you live?

i did the revlon polish and the $1 mq beeped they wouldn’t take it
For whatever coding reason, both Revlon mfr coupons beep, even though the 8/14 coupon has a bottle of nail polish on the front! If you were using the 8/14 coupon, then all you can do is point to the picture and say “It shows it right here!” This really frosts me because how many times have you encountered the “it beeps because it’s not shown on the coupon” so what’s their excuse now? I don’t know where you live, but I ALWAYS give my business to coupon-friendly stores. If you have to drive slightly further, so be it. Eventually your sales (and those of others who only want to be treated like valuable customers and not people interrupting co-worker gossip time) will make the store manager and then the DM sit up and take notice. It’s happened with stores in our division, so keep trying..
i’m in Louisiana..took your advice and went to 2 wags stores 10miles away..made 57.00rr. My local store manager said the wags q was a mq…i think my local wags hates me…
Hate is GOOD! It means our couponing is effective.
Bought 16 packs of wipes. My best one was 10 packs at Naperville on Columbia. It was like NO ONE had shopped there! Even though we bought 10, we were still leaving some on the shelf!
You left product on the shelf!!! Have I not taught you people anything? Say it loud: We clear and we’re proud! I’ll remember to hit up that Wags, since I bank across the street and have that livingsocial deal with the automatic car wash on the corner.
ooooh, can you see the t-shirt? white on black of course…
I clear shelves
and I’m proud of it!
Clearing shelves wouldn’t be such a big deal if rainchecks were good for RR deals. But they’re not, so when I go to the store a mere 2 days after the sale starts, and everything is gone, and they tell me that the next shipment comes in next week, but that the RR deal won’t be good then, well now I’m screwed. Just doesn’t seem right, everybody rushing to the store early on the first day, just to get these deals, having to be on top of this stuff and can’t just go when they feel like.
Oh and let me clarify that if it’s something very common that you use a lot of, no problem, but it seems like it doesn’t even matter what’s being sold, some people will go and clear the shelf just because it’s free. And again, I’m talking about stuff that is not common, something that if you bought 60 of them, you’d be set for years, not months.
And I know I could go to multiple stores, call around, go earlier, etc., but 10 people having to do that extra work, why can’t the 1 person who cleared the shelf realize they don’t need 75 of that item, like, at all? I’m sure I’ll be outnumbered here, but just my opinion, just throwing it out there, not attacking anybody.
oh i read this on sd..if you buy chocalate color with the upc written on the bottle top not on the bottom, neither q will beep..just a heads up..i made sure to do a chocalate first then other colors..that way since the chocolare color went through the cashier was more likely to push any others that beeped..right through.
Thanks so much. I’ll try this just for grins, ’cause the Wags by me are uber-coupon friendly.
Just wait until your stores see how much merchandise you are moving for them. I would hope someone would have the brains to figure out that couponers = $$$$$.
I explain to cashiers who get jealously irritated that the stores are making money off of coupons; they get the money back plus some. But a store manager at like a Walgreens, ya, they should definitely know what’s what. Don’t they have like meetings between stores? Something, I mean they can’t not know that a store like the Wheaton’s Walgreens is doing very good partly due to couponers.
this is a bit off topic but all 3 wags i went to were out of laffy taffys..so I played dum and asked what happened to the LT…she said well the coupon people are using them because they need to have the same amount of items as coupons..I was like Really?!….so many of u may start seeing our cheap fillers disappear…: (
This week’s featured filler item is gelatin. Using the in-ad coupon, it drops down to .20 a box LOW TAX. Of course, you’re not in IL, and I don’t know how blood-sucking your politician are, but here in IL, they tax EVERYTHING.
