What I plan to do at Dominicks tomorrow…

I’ve added all the Jewel match prices and many of the JFU deals to my card(s) and suggest you do the same.  Mind you, reality takes a hit when you enter the cloud-cuckoo land of Dominicks, but here’s my plan so far…

The Tidy Cats 20 lbs of litter is $5.  Use the $1 coupon from 1/27 rp2.  This is a seriously good price for this stuff and the ad doesn’t show a limit.

Gevalia coffee is $5. Use the $1.00 off any ONE (1) GEVALIA Coffee to get it for $4.  I’m addicted to Mocha, so hands off.

Those are the Friday deal and here are the weekly ones:

Müller Corner or Yopa! Greek Yogurt is $1.  I have a bunch of tear pad Muller coupons for $1/2 and there’s a $1/2 in the 2/17 rp as well.  There’s a 10% off yogurt on my JFU, which means cheap Müller yogurt.  We tried this at Jewel and most of the flavors are pretty good.

I have Fresh Express salad blends for 99¢ as a Jewel price match.  Use the 55¢ coupon from 3/10S.  I also have 10% off any bagged salad, so it should be an interesting deal.

I have $1.98 for Pantry Essential gallons of milk, all varieties.  I kinda think I’m okay for milk right now, but you may need it.

Pepperidge Farm bread is $2.99.  There’s a 40¢ coupon in the 2/10 rp plus a 30% off any size bread or buns as my personalized price.

Tropicana Pure Premium or Trip50 (yuck) is a JFU $2.72.  There is a $1 coupon in the 3/10 S, but it’s for the 46 oz Farmstand variety, and I haven’t the faintest idea what that is.  Of course, I plan to clip the coupon anyway and bring it with justincase.

They show a B2G2 on Coke 12-pks plus they toss in a free bag of chips, like it’s something my ass is screaming for, right?  Well, I’d say to use those freebie Coke Rewards coupons, but Dominicks will undoubtedly have the price jacked up to something like $6.99 a pack or more and those coupons are only good up to $4.99; you know, the price that even Coke considers regular retail…

I also have a $3 OYNO when you purchase $30 or more.  Well, that’s before coupons and I plan to get it really low after.  Best of all is that all these offers are unlimited!  and i’ve printed out the entire page to prove it!

greetings from coupon Naziland…

So Rachel shoots me an email about all the great clearance stuff at Dominicks … unfortunately, I was making money at Jewel so didn’t get over there for a couple of hours, by which time LOTS of stuff had been sold. and i took the rest. Took lots of Cover Girl mascaras and eye liners, which allowed me to use those $3/2 coupons and one lonely L’Oreal hair color, which got the $2 coupon. Pay attention, now, ’cause there’s gonna be a pop quiz later.

Covergirl mascara is $1.33 and I have a $3/2 coupon (well, a few of them). Since Dominicks always just draws a line through the UPC, the cashier enters it as grocery. Gets to the last item, the hair color for $2.25. She says I can’t use it. I say why not? She says that the coupon won’t scan because it’s too low a price (now, this is a new one for me from a Dominicks cashier, and I figure I’d heard them all by now). I pointed out that the coupon was for less than the price being charged and she said that I would be getting it for only 25¢.  I gave her the ole “wanna dance with your Safeway health care benefits, bitch” look (if you have kids, you know the look) and pointed out that it didn’t scan because she entered the hair color as grocery and the register showed nothing to which the coupon could attach.  I did refrain from pointing out that she was giving me overage on the CG – I mean I like to make a point, but I’m not that stupid.  Although Danada Dominicks did tell me that giving me overage would be coupon fraud.  When I pointed out that Jewel’s official coupon policy allows this, she said that was the reason Jewel was doing so bad.  Yeah, like Dominicks is right up there hitting the high notes.  Didn’t have the heart to tell her that Walmart actually gives you the cash back…

Dominicks – when you’re sick of pizza…

Since those Jimmy Dean coupons expire tomorrow, I hauled my fat can over to Dominicks to take advantage of their promotion. Tossed in the free Mr. Clean sponge cloths and six packages of PF Chang main meals and three appetizers. Also tossed in a bag of brown rice because we were completely out.  I think I have 33 Jimmy Deans here.

Transactions were broken down into three to use the unlimited $3/$30 J4U promo.  You see here not only the Jimmy Dean Delights, but their Breakfast Bowl.  Store only had 12 of the Delights and the store manager substituted the Bowls for the Delights, since the coupons scan for both.  Total for the three transactions was $26.41.  While I don’t like paying for groceries, PF Chang is a very good dinner (although claiming each bag feeds 2 is absurd)

This was the nice Woodridge Dominicks on 63rd, not that Nazi wonderland aka Danada Square…

Free and cheap stuff at Dominicks

This deal is currently running at Von’s.  It doesn’t show in the weekly Dominick’s ad, but Dominick’s tends to mirror Von’s on those Buy XX get $$ off deals.  Right now you can get cheap Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowls and free Delights. The Breakfast Bowls will be $1.24 each after instant savings (buy in multiples of three) and the 55¢ coupon from 1/6 r2.  Note that this value is for the Chicago area coupons – other areas got $1 coupons.  Buy the Delights in multiples of three and the price drops to $1.99.  Use the $2 coupon from 1/6r2 for FREE food!

PF Chang is on sale for $5. Sign on freezer door says buy 2 and get a FREE appetizer. Use the $1 coupon from 1/27S.  Itsy-bitsy find print says limit one per household.  But the $1 coupon didn’t scan for either of my two entrees – customer service tried to tell me that it was because this was a special promotion and I couldn’t use the coupon with the sale price.  Yeah, but just this once…

Apologies for this crummy photo. Buy three packs of Mr. Clean cellulose sponge cloth (2 cloths per pack) and the price drops to 29¢ each.  I took six because it’s reusable and dishwasher safe.  There’s a 50¢ in the 1/27 P&G, but I’ll use it at another Dominicks.

The self-scan froze and the attendant said it was because I had too many coupons.  Ended up running the whole transaction over at the CS desk.  The lady was nice, don’t get me wrong, but this is why I avoid the black hole aka Danada…

February coupons to print

So many, many new coupons appeared yesterday that it would be impossible to post them all.  I’m putting out a few now and will try to keep up.  The main one I wanted to post is for Capri Sun, which is selling at Food4Less for $1.68 after the 50¢ instant savings of $5 when you buy ten items from the group.  Limit is 50 items in one transaction.  Use the B3G1 coupon from 1/6 S (cover says Healthy Essentials – snort).

There is a national catalina promotion going on which gives you $2 when you buy three boxes of Capri Sun, $3 when you buy four boxes and $4 when you buy five or more.  Obviously buying fifty boxes to produce the same $4 as five would be stupid, so I’d recommend buying six and tossing in a few other items (Hormel chili would be 78¢ a can).

$1.00 off THREE (3) CAPRI SUN 10 pack
$0.55 off 2 HORMEL Chili products

You could buy six boxes of Capri Sun and four cans of Hormel chili (this is actually pretty good stuff – we use it for chili dogs & chili mac), then use one insert coupon and two IPs each for the chili and Capri Sun.  Pay 50¢ a can for the chili and 40¢ a box for the Capri Sun – but this is Barbie math.

Capri Sun is also on sale for $1.99 at Dominicks and will be 2/$4 at Meijer starting Sunday (in Sunday-Saturday stores, probably starting Thursday in the Thursday-Wednesday stores).  Catalina promotions apply there, too.

I prefer Food4Less for large quantity stock-ups because they usually have the largest selection and quantity.

B2G1 DiGiorno coupons to print for Dominicks & Jewel

Dominicks has DiGiorno pizzas for $3.88 each, starting Thursday – Jewel has them for $5. But Jewel has a Buy 2 DiGiorno pizzas and two 2L Cokes and save $2 instantly. Too bad it’s a limit 1 per transaction.  With Jewel and one coupon, you’ll be paying about $11 for three pizzas and two Cokes, which might be enough of a deal for you – your call.  Note:  The first IP is scheduled to disappear on 1/31, so don’t put off printing.

Buy 2 Large DIGIORNO Pizzas, Get any ONE free

You can also print another buy two get one free here and/or use the B2G1 coupon from the 1/27 rp.

and yet MORE DiGiorno! (if they don’t like it, tell ’em to learn to cook)

I had the J4U B2G1 Free on my personalized coupons with a limit of one transaction. Since DiGiorno pizzas were $5 for the Dominick’s Friday deal, I wasn’t sure what would happen. In point of fact, even after looking at my receipt – – I’m still not!!

I bought 18 pizzas and paid $37 before tax. The J4U was limit one – period. The way I figure it, 18 x $5 = $90, less the $30 from six B2G1 IPs, less $7.01 from the one Just4U. That works out to $52.99, right? I have never understood Dominicks receipts and I guess that’s the way it will remain.

But everyone has always been so nice and friendly to me at this Woodridge store (63rd), that you forget it’s Dominicks!

holy moley – more DiGiorno pizzas?!

Buy 2 Large DIGIORNO Pizzas, Get any ONE free

The DiGiorno Buy 2 Get 1 Free coupon has reset with possibly a great Dominicks deal in your future!  Friday only, DiGiorno pizzas are $5.  Check your “coupons” tab under the Personalized Deals – I had a B2G1 Free coupon (limit one transaction)!  Given the weirdness of the Dominicks registers, though, I could either pay for one and get the rest free or pay nothing and have $150 taken off my order…

Note, MUM says that you can extend the $5 Friday price all weekend by adding it to your personalized deals, starting tomorrow.

Having trouble storing all these pizzas – remove them from the boxes.  You can still tell the variety and it frees up tons of space.  FirstBorn keeps one box – flattened out – in with them for cooking info.

60% off iTunes card at Dominicks

I was gonna say that I saw this on MUM, but honestly, I’m too lazy even for that – she has to send me emails.

Check your Just4U deals under the Coupon Center (the Special Offers category) and you just might see TWO iTune deals:  $15 off one $15 and a second $15 off.  One has a 9/26 expiration and the other expires 10/13.  I added both deals and ran it at Dominicks, where it worked beautifully – went from $50 down $15, down $15.

I’d definitely ADD both these deals to your card(s) because the first one will expire within a few days and you definitely don’t want to miss this one:  I’m going to be the Big Spender when the Holidays roll around.  Remember the BC potatoes deal?  Those people who loaded the deals got to run them, but they were no longer available for anyone else.

Watch those BC expiration dates!

Check the dates on any Betty Crocker potatoes you might have purchased from Dominicks yesterday and today.  Some irate people got home and found a significant percentage expired (some almost six months ago!) with many coming up in another month or two.

Just checked my stock and found dates were November, 2012 and April, 2013.   If you do find expired or close to expired boxes, please take them back.  Just because you didn’t pay coin of the realm for them doesn’t mean you don’t deserve good codes – especially if you plan to donate any of it.
