CVS for Robitussin cash

photo.JPG

The Magic Coupon Machine spit out a $10/$50 coupon and a $2 off two CVS brand body wash or bar soaps, so I decided to use them both, since the 10 bottles of Robittusin ($4.99 each) only added up to $49.90, not enough to trigger the $10 coupon.  I needed to spend another 10¢, but decided to go for broke and took the two CVS body washes for $1.18 after coupon.

Like the ad reads, you can run this up to five times.  My ten bottles of Robitussin and two bottles of body wash, less the ten $3 coupons from 9/29 rp (or this $3 printable), less $3 in ecbs. the $10 kiosk coupon, the $2 kiosk coupon and a $3 ecb I had brought the total down to $8.92 and I got back the $15 ecbs.

And next I’ll clip the UPCs and put them in an envelope with the receipt and Pfizer rebate form for the $6.

Free or MM Robitussin @ CVS & Wags

This week both CVS and Walgreens have Robitussin on sale – CVS has it for $4.95 with a Buy 2 get $3 in ecbs promotion and Walgreens priced at $4.99 – obviously CVS is the winner in this category.  I’ve read that there is a limit of 5 per card at CVS, so you’d pay 90¢ for two bottles ($4.95 x 2= $9.90 less $6 in coupons ($3 in 9/29 rp or this $3 printable), less $3 in ecbs.

photo.JPGThere is a Pfizer rebate form in the 8/25 rp:  Get $6 back by mail when you buy any THREE participating products (mail in UPCs, original receipt with purchase price circled and original rebate form).  You’ll have to buy four at CVS to meet the rebate’s terms, but hey, it’s still a moneymaker!  At Walgreens it will still be free, but you could always use your points to purchase it.  Those of you without rebate forms, place a comment that you’d like one or two or whatever and I’ll email you back privately for vitals.

CVS possibles 9/22 – update with new coupon info

Well, since CVS made it worth my while to come on down – here’s a few things that look interesting right now:

Revlon Luxurious Colorsilk buttercream haircolor is on sale 2/$9.  When you buy 2 you get $3 in ecbs.  Use the $3/1 coupon in the 9/08 S1 which expires on 9/22!  So you can use this on Saturday after your store does the early activation thing or wait until Sunday.  Either way you’ll get FREE hair color.  Limit one per card.

Renuzit adjustables are 3/$3 and you’ll score a $1.50/3 instant savings coupon from the Magic Coupon Machine.  Use the B3G1 coupon from the 9/08 rp which expires 9/22 and you’ll get four for $1.50.  I actually like these because they have some very interesting scents and I don’t have to worry about batteries, electricity or liquids falling over.  Note that the coupon in the Sun Times and various smaller papers (like that Suburban Buy one) have B3G3 coupons, which makes for a much better deal – six for $1.50.  There is also a Dollar General store coupon for B3G3, which stacks into SIX FREE!  All expiration dates are 9/22.

I’ll update this post after I’ve had more time to peruse the ad…although some of the P&G cleaning products “deals” make me snicker…

Update on CVS Garnier Fructis “sale”

20130919_003509
Reader hit four CVS stores last night and ended up with 250 bottles of shampoo and conditioner (nobody seems to have tried any styling products).  Tried three other stores this morning, but products scanned at $4.49; not sure whether these stores were just weird or the “sale” is over.  Although it doesn’t make sense, it might be that only those stores that had the 3/$10 shelf tags promotion were ringing at 3/$1 – who knows…

Hie thee to a CVS – NOW, NOW, NOW!!!

photo.JPG
Right now the Garnier Fructis line is ringing up – NOT – at the $4.49 shelf price, but at $1/3! Yep, you read that right!  All the shampoos and conditions pictured set me back 81¢ (16¢ subtotal plus high tax) after applying the $1.50/1 coupons from 8/11 rp; there is also a $1 coupon in the 9/8 rp.

It’s better than buying with coupons — without coupons!  Do not put this one off.  What’s nice is that not only are the shelves full of product, many CVS locations have switched to 24 hours!  Plenty of time to score!

free shopping at CVS & Jewel

photo.JPGThe Magic Coupon Machine is printing $1 off P&G products – hey, Puffs is a P&G product, right? So use that coupon to buy the 88¢ boxes of Puffs!  Tide you over (Tide, get it?) until you can get to Jewel tomorrow for the deal that had better be working…

And back at the familiar confines of Jewel, PITA remembered the EE stevia 40 ct boxes were 50¢, so free after the $1/2EE coupons.  If you happen upon an odd number of any of the EE products, you can always grab a small can of EE veggies for 59¢.

Free Sobe @ CVS with BOGO Q – 8/18

photo.JPGI am so sorry – I meant to post this last week and forgot!  Keep your eyes open for tearpads of the BOGO Sobe coupon shown in the picture because Sobe lifewater, Big Chill, Lipton tea and Gartorade will be BOGO at CVS the week of the 18th.  Can’t remember where I saw the tearpad, but I know enough to always grab the BOGO ones!  You should be doing the same.

Drugstores – CVS & Wags

photo.JPG

Picked up eight more Revlon Colorsilk hair color at CVS using the B1G1 50% off sale, the $2 mfr coupons, a $3 ecb that printed on a previous vitamin purchase and a $6 off $30+ in beauty products that arrived via my email. Paid $3.22 ’cause it’s all high tax stuff.

This is such a good price I’m heading back out to Walgreens to pick up a few more of the Lysol products.  They’re 2/$5 with 500 loyalty points given and there’s a $2/2 Lysol coupon in the Walgreens Cold and Flue booklet.  I got 4 of the large spray bottles and two wipes canisters along with four Gain dish soap for $9.91 (subtract $1.50 in points earned & you’re paying $1.40 a product).  and I know, I know, nobody is gonna believe I’m that clean…

doing the drugstores dance…

Walgreens has Lysol products on sale this week at 2/$5 earn 500 loyalty points.  Use the $2/2 coupon in the Walgreens Cold and Flu booklet or the .50/2 wipes or .50/1 spray,  both in f8/4 S.  I would definitely recommend the Walgreens booklet because 1) it’s a higher value, duh 2) it’s a manufacturer coupon that can only be used at Walgreens and 3) it expires at the end of August, whereas the insert coupon extends for a few more days (and if it’s Ultra, another month).  I had a booklet come in the mail a week or so ago with additional loyalty point deals – Lysol was in there!  So I ended up earning 2,000 points for one transaction.  You’ll pay $1.50 a container, unless you get the 15% senior discount, in which case it’ll be $1.125 a container (plus high tax) and you’ll earn 50¢ in loyalty points on each set of two.

On to CVS for more vitamins.  Remember how I told you to print, print, print those Magic Coupon Machine $2 coupons last week?  Well, now it’s time to use those puppies!  The Naperville store only had three of the gummies (goddess forbid PITA be forced to swallow a pill!), so one was 1/2 price and the other a BOGO.  Ended up at $2.24 with .25 tax or $2.49 for all three.  I’ll check at a couple more stores before the end of the week because each bottles will last less than a month.

By the way, the new store manager is coming from a store in Aurora and is currently splitting his time between that store and Naperville.  If you know anything about a Sean (or Shawn?), please share, although so far I’ve only heard positives.
