Reader hit four CVS stores last night and ended up with 250 bottles of shampoo and conditioner (nobody seems to have tried any styling products). Tried three other stores this morning, but products scanned at $4.49; not sure whether these stores were just weird or the “sale” is over. Although it doesn’t make sense, it might be that only those stores that had the 3/$10 shelf tags promotion were ringing at 3/$1 – who knows…
Just got back from Whole Foods, where I picked up lavender-scented Avalon Organics shampoo and conditioner for 99¢ each and $1.99 for the body lotion! How so, you might ask, knowing that this stuff is rather dear. Glad you asked. Right now Whole Foods has Avalon on sale for $4.99 for shampoos and conditioners – a great deal right there – but there’s a $4 store coupon for any Avalon product (excluding lip balm) on their site in the Whole Deals pages. So you pay either $1.99 or 99¢. Sale runs through 9/17 so print before it disappears (’cause it might flip tonight, since it’s the July/August Whole Deal). I’m planning on stocking up on the rosemary, lemon, more lavender, peppermint…
