back again – Sparkle $1 coupon

Look for Sparkle 2-ply Paper Towels with Thirst Pockets in white and a variety of prints. Sparkle paper towels soak up spills big and small.  Soak up the Savings with this $1 coupon!  This is a link to Georgia-Pacific and requires you to check the box allowing them to send promotional emails and other communications.

CVS will have the 8-pack Sparkle paper towels for $5 (limit 4), starting tomorrow.  Use the above coupon or the 50¢ coupon in the July AY or the 50¢ in the 7/28 rp1.

Note for next week’s CVS ad

Just realized that the BOGO vitamin/supplement sale continues through next week, but I do not see anything in the ad about the magic coupon machine continuing to spit out the unlimited $2 store coupons.  Therefore I strongly recommend you commandeer the machine tonight or tomorrow and print up as many as you think you’ll use next week – they expire one week from print date (tonight’s expire 8/9).  If you need more Nature’s Bounty coupons, I’ve read that there’s another group coming this Sunday, although the values aren’t as high as last week’s ones:

Nature’s Bounty $1/1 vitamin or supplement (9/3/13)
Nature’s Bounty $2.50/1 Optimal Solutions (9/3/13)
Nature’s Bounty $3/1 dual spectrum cranberry with hibiscus (9/3/13)
Nature’s Bounty $3/1 krill, fish oil or CoQ 10 (9/3/13)

Oh, and those Met-Rx minis?  Coupons are back – – this time $1/6 minis…

Swag from CVS – BlogHer2013 post

While I’ve gotten boxes and bags of loot from BlogHer2013, I have to say that the award for highest value bag from one company goes to CVS, hands down.  Here’s a picture of what was in this puppy –

photo.JPG
Sorry, I didn’t mean that literally! That’s NahCheung, trying to steal the loot.  Her eyes are a light brown (she’s cocoa brown) which means the flash makes her look possessed.

The actual loot. CVS has always recognized the value of bloggers, offering trips to their headquarters and a luncheon during BlogHer (I was touring Groupon at that time), whereas Walgreens (yes, they were actually at Blogher!) was staffed by tprune people.

CVS for vitamins and news

photo.JPGEvery once in a while my body needs magnesium – weird, but try telling that to your body!  So a deal where store coupons and mfr coupons stack with a BOGO and you’ll end up with tax?  Fat kid on cake time.  While I love my Jewel, the selection at CVS is much greater and having that incredible $2 store coupon seals the deal.  I paid $2.35 for the five bottles shown – shelf tag is $8.79 each.

and now for news:  The Naperville CVS (Naper & Ogden) will have a new manager within a couple of weeks as the old one has gone bye bye.  that is all…

Edit – some thoughts on the 7/28 Jewel ad

Here’s a printable that just appeared!  Use it on the $1.50 sale to get a 12 oz bag of Fisher peanuts in the shell for only 50¢.  Now that’s a deal!
$1.00 off (1) Fisher Snack item 4 oz. or larger

A pretty dismal ad – the Buy 10 save items either have no coupons available or the values are pitiful.  Couple of Osco side items, though, since we have new coupons:  The Herbal Essence shampoos and conditioners are 2/$4.  Grab multiples and use both the $5/3 and BOGO shampoo/styling product coupons for very cheap hair care.  If you still have the $5/2 Clairol products coupon, use it for overage before it expires – TOMORROW!   I used up my $5/2 coupons, but I might use the combo coupons to grab a few HE products for donations.

Osco’s also having a Nature’s Bounty BOGO sale (also at CVS).  There’s a $2 coupon in the 7/28 r2, but if you get the $2 store coupon from the Magic Coupon Machine to stack, you’re better off running the deal there…especially if you’re gonna be picking up Skippy anyway!

If you prefer Nature Made brand, Osco’s also got a BOGO running on them.  Use the $2 coupon from 7/28 S1 and the cheapies should be almost free.  Again, I might pick up those cheap ones for donation purposes.

If you need more coupons, here’s the printables list once again:

$2.00 off 1 Nature’s Bounty Vitamin or Supplement
$2.00 off Nature’s Bounty Optimal Solutions
$0.55 off any one SKIPPY peanut butter product
$1.75 off Any 2 Nature Made Vitamins
$2.25 off Any One Nature Made Vitamelt

MM/freebies @ the drugstores next week – print your coupons now!

Starting the 28th, Walgreens will have the 2-pack Reach toothbrushes on sale for $2.99 with a $2 RR – print this handy-dandy $2 coupon now for a buck MM!  If  you are just trying to stock up, print both coupons.

$1.00 off any REACH Brand toothbrush
$2.00 off any REACH Brand 2 Pack

At CVS, starting the 28th, Nature’s Bounty vitamins, etc. will be BOGO.  Stack this $2 printable with the $2 store coupon that will be printing at the Magic Coupon Machine starting the 28th and you’re looking at mostly-free vitamins and supplements.

$2.00 off 1 Nature’s Bounty Vitamin or Supplement
$2.00 off Nature’s Bounty Optimal Solutions

DEAD – CVS for free Huggies?

screwJust came back from CVS – At first the clerk (a new one) told me that there was a glitch and that she would mark down my $20 ecb to $10.  I said like heck you will.  She said they had been told by corporate to do this.  I said like heck they did.  Ran the transaction and only $10 came out.  She was happy – – until I told her I would be returning the diapers in a day or two.  Seriously, pay CVS for diapers?

On the Spend $15 get $5 ecb Huggies deal scheduled to start tomorrow (but running now), a reader says that she bought three packs, used three $3 coupons and got back $20 in ecbs – FREE DIAPERS (well, .97)!  Try it tomorrow (she’s on the west coast) and let us know if it’s still working!

Here’s the deal and the way it’s supposed to run:  Buy three jumbo packs of diapers and/or Pull-Ups for $29.97.   Pay with three $3.00/1 diaper printables and/or $3.00/1 Pull-ups printables and you’re at $20.97. Get back $10.00 ECB for a net cost of $10.97 for all three.

Free & almost-free shopping – hellllo, Oreo

photo.JPG

This week at Dominicks, Oreos are BOGO plus you get a free 12-pack of refreshe pop tossed in. I have an unlimited $2.80 Oreo on  my J4U, which makes the deal sweet (pun intended) – however, there’s a .75/2 coupon in 5/19 S1 which brings the price down to $2.05 for two packs of Oreos and a 12-pack (no beeping, which sometimes happens with coupons on BOGO deals). I picked flavored seltzer waters to counteract the Oreos. Found one coupon for the Ice Mountain and it was still at 2/$1 on my personalized price so free. Total for the ten packs of Oreos, 2 Ice Mountain 1L and five 12-packs shown here was $11.64 – – and when I paid I got a $5/$20 cat!  Which means I’ll be forced to buy more Oreos… oh, the sacrifices my ass I’m forced to make.

photo.JPG

An alert reader caught this one:  Mini MET-Rx Minis are regularly priced 99¢ at CVS – use the no-size restriction $2/2 coupon from 6/2 rp for more free stuff.  The eight bars cost 14¢.  Your cashier will either mark down the coupon(s) or you’ll need other items to absorb that 2¢ coupon overage.  I was only picking up more HE shampoo and conditioner, so no overage there.  Note that the expiration date on this coupon is July 15.

Free shampoo at CVS and Walmart!

photo.JPG

photo.JPG

Sunday’s P&G insert had a $5/2 coupon for any Clairol product. The picture shows hair colors, but remember, wording always trumps pictures, mainly because it’s just not possible to list every possible product on a coupon (can you even imagine the teeeeensy print?).

Anyway, CVS has Clairol shampoos and conditioners at $5/2 this week, which means FREE shampoo and conditioner.  Clairol posted the following on their Facebook site in response to Can I or Can’t I coupon questions:  Clairol Yes, since this was our mistake of not having “hair color” called out, we will honor the redemptions.

You can also take the CVS ad to Walmart and have them price match, if it’s more convenient and/or your CVS is wiped out.

CVS for Secret Clinical Strength

photo.JPG
Since I have those rain checks ($4 sale price from the beginning of June) and the $3 coupons expire Sunday, I’m hitting up local CVS stores. One nice extra is that this week I earn $2 ecbs on that purchase!  One bad thing is that it’s a limit one per household.  Still, can’t complain…
