I had heard earlier today from some shoppers that the ecoupon was now coming off the Tide Stain Release – let’s not wait until the last minute, guys!  Wanted to check it out for myself and yes, it certainly does come off, so got one Tide Stain Release and 3 of the single use Tide powders for tax.  As I always say, you shouldn’t have to pay for laundry.

It has now been commented upon by every site on Earth:  the P&G ecoupons which are supposed to take $3 off the Tide Stain Release (making it free) aren’t working.   The P&G offices closed early on Friday, so can only hope that Tuesday shows it’s been corrected.

When I bought my Tide Stain Release last week, I noticed that the grocery total was $6 (crazy high, I know, for groceries – I mean, why should I have to pay to do laundry?).  I asked the cashier if she was sure my Fresh Values card had scanned – it had.  Then I asked if all the ecoupons had come off and sure enough, the P&G one had not.  I was going to tell her to just take off the Tide, when she hit a few keys and took off the $3.  At the time, I thought it was because I had loaded it onto my card less than 24 hours earlier and so it hadn’t yet registered.  Which was why I posted the deal.  Now, I have to tell everyone that if you haven’t yet done this deal, wait until Tuesday or Wednesday.  I’ll keep checking and when I learn it’s been fixed I’ll post immediately.  If you’ve already done the deal and haven’t yet opened the package, return it to Dominicks and get your money back.  I’d suggest waiting until the glitch has been fixed so you can just rering the same product.

Lately I’ve been just shopping and stocking the deals. We’re at the point where our  stockpile does us very nicely for the staples.  Some things I never thought I’d run out of:  mayonnaise, Windex multi-surface, Listerine.  I didn’t calculate as well as I should and donated far more than was practical (for us, anyway, don’t get all preachy on me here).  So now there’s a deal on Hellman’s mayo this week which, using the super coupon at $1.99 and stacking it with a Cellfire ecoupon (you do add them to your Dominicks card, don’t you?) and a coupon from either the .50 MDA booklet (previously available at Dominicks) or a $.75 printable, you end up with either .74 or .99 mayonnaise.  While not free, I can live with this price.  Limit two.

Every month P&G releases their ecoupons, which you load onto your Dominicks card.  Most aren’t big money; their value lies in that they can be stacked with the coupons found in the monthly P&G insert.  Last month I picked up Tide Stain Release (the gel packs) for free by combining a Dominicks super coupon with a P&G insert coupon and the ecoupon that was loaded on my Dominicks card.  This month will be the same.  eCoupons are only one shot; use it and it’s gone until more are added.

Sign up with P&G and they’ll send you an email reminder when new ecoupons are added.  Load them all on your card since you never know what could be free or a MM.

Picked up 11 Del Monte Fruit Smoothies this morning.  They’re on sale 10/$10 and coincidentally, there is a $1 coupon in the 8/15 RP, so FREE.  I also picked up some containers of the 50% off cottage cheese for my husband.  A few months back, during the “take us out of the store deal at Jewel” I picked up a ton of the Breakstone doubles (cottage cheese and fruit).  My husband was vehement in his protests that he had never eaten cottage cheese, would never eat it, couldn’t make him eat it and it looked like baby puke.  Fine, I said, we like it.  You know the ending, right?  Cottage cheese is now his new best friend and I’m feeding his addiction.  Luckily, Dominicks has overstocks on a regular basis, so I stock up then.  These three have exp. dates in September, by which time it’ll only be a memory.

I posted about this a while ago, but was too lazy to actually make the trip!  Since it ends today, I was only able to put it off for another few hours.  Ended up with the 10 jars shown here for the munificent sum of 35 cents.  damned taxes!
