I’ve gotten some emails from people who have been following the Tide Stain Release ecoupon fiasco on Jill’s site (look at the Forum).   Two people have commented that they spoke with P&G about this ecoupon not coming off and were told that because it is being used as a double coupon (in addition to the paper one) it will not come off and, in fact, it is up to the store to determine if a doubling is allowed.

Do I believe this?  NO!  Rightly or wrongly, I think it belongs in the camp with 1) using coupons means you won’t get a register reward, 2) your check is in the mail, 3) we’re losing too much money on you people… in other words, “Fuck you,” in Stupidish.  What P&G is saying is that it is up to Dominicks to allow us the double coupons?  If things were left up to Dominicks, they wouldn’t need more than 3 shopping carts per store.
