2/19 inserts – good coupons!

We are blessed with the $5/2 and $2 L’Oreal coupons this week.  Why blessed?  All the L’Oreal clearance hair colors from CVS, Wags and Jewel, of course!  Clip and keep these with you because I guarantee you’ll see these products on the clearance end caps.

And WE GOT THE Tylenol Precise coupons.  Until I actually see the paper, I can’t be certain.  The $5 has a one-week expiration date, folks, so your options are to either decide which store will get your coupons or…use your coupons at Walgreens and if you want more products, high-tail it over to Jewel and pick up as many as you want/need/order.  Pay and return within 60 days with the coupons you’ve ordered, been given or traded for.

FREE Chapstick at Wags

The regular tubes of Chapstick are ringing up as an unadvertised sale at 99¢ – – there is a $1 IVC on page 29 of the February book.  What does that equal?  FREE!  Checked out vanilla, regular, mint, apple, cherry…they are all working.

Even if you are dealing with an coupon-unfriendly store, they can’t deny their own coupon now, can they?  Make ’em sweat about it! ’cause there is no beeping.

Saw this on CW yesterday, but got swamped and forgot to post…bad, Goddess.

Wags got2be update on register troubles

People have been encountering issues with Walgreens and the new registers – they don’t take the second $3 coupon on the BOGO:  Register can’t find the second product to attach to.  It’s certainly not insurmountable, because all the cashier has to do is enter the coupon manually as a mfr coupon, but I think that’s where all the confusion on accepting two coupons on a BOGO might be coming from.  People have had asst mgrs telling them that Wags changed their coupon policy a few months ago…no they did not!  If you encounter this at your local Wags either switch stores or beat that mgr to death with his or her own leg – either way works.

Wags – you’ve got2be

Tried out the coupons at both Lisle and Wheaton – no trouble at either location although they don’t have overwhelming amounts of stock.  They’ll be getting in lots more this week, so don’t worry.  If you’re placing special orders, make sure to call before the deadline for your store.

Now PITA and I are gonna go make us some big ole Texas hair!

Walgreens – Cottonelle $2 a 12-pk – UPDATE!

Update:  Here is the list from Coupon Network (Catalina Marketing) of the participating retailers on this promotion.  Walgreens (for whatever reason) is not participating.  However, both Dominicks and Jewel are part of it.  Says it runs through March 3 (but they have been known to shut down earlier).

I apologize – no one knew this in advance.  If you purchased the toilet pape, bring it back for a refund.  I’ll have our Wags stores remove any signs about this non-deal.

Participating Retailers: A & J Market, A & J Select Market, A&P, A & P Super Foodmart, Acme, Acme Fresh Market, Adams Super Food IGA Store, Adams Supermarket IGA, Akins Harvest Foods, Albertsons, Albertsons, Albertsons, ALPS Market, Amar Ranch Market, Americana Foods, Amherst Family Foods, Apple Market, Ashleys Food Pride, Askers Harvest Foods, Associated Food Store (see more stores)

There is a Cottonelle catalina currently running at Wags where you get a $3 RR when you buy two of the 12-packs regularly-priced at $5 each.  Use the February $1 IVC together with the 1/15S coupon (some regions got a $1 coupon while others got a 50¢ one).  Pay either $7 or $6, depending on coupons) and get back a $3 RR.  Cost is then $1.50 or $2 a 12-pack.  With no coupons it works out to $2.50 for a 12-pack of toilet paper.

If you buy three of the 12-packs you get a $4 RR, but the numbers are better doing this in sets of two.

Note:  The 1/15 coupons expire tomorrow, February 12, so if your Walgreens won’t take coupons expired by a day or two, head on over by tomorrow evening.

Walgreens 3/4…

and so far it ain’t looking good, folks.  The only FARR deals are the 4.25 oz Walgreen brand nasal saline spray at $5 with a $5 RR and Colgate Total (all varieties) 4 oz tubes are $3 with a $3 RR.  The Schick Hydro Razor is still around at $9.99 with a $4 RR  – a $2 coupon will show up in the 1/12 S (3/25 expiration).  Come on, Schick, you can do better than that!

Something different in the ad:  Accu-Chek Lancets 102 ct size area $14.99 with a $10 RR.  Never seen that one before!

Wags 2/12 got2b

I’ve held off on posting this, but I’ve now gotten enough emails so I’ll hit publish.  This week’s red plum is supposed to contain a $3 coupon good on any full-size got2b product. Just so happens that this product in on a monthly BOGO (2/$5.99) so we’re talking FREE here.

I say supposed to get because there is never a guarantee that you will get the coupon in your own area and it will be available in all papers in your area.  In the Chicago area, coupons will be in the Tribune, but not necessarily in the Sun Times, Daily Herald, etc.  Rarely happens that you find a coupon in the also-rans that is not in the Trib.  Since this is a monthly deal, you have until the 25th, so if you’re looking at special orders, wait until Saturday, when the papers come out and check to see what’s there.  If you don’t get the $3 coupon, you can always put in a special order and buy coupons through Dede or some other clipping service.  But this is a very sweet deal on a great line of products.

Wags 2/26 MMMMMMMMMssss! – update

If you are placing a special order with Lisle (630) 353-0252, please call either tonight or tomorrow morning as they place their order in before noon.  Ask to speak to any of the managers because Lauren will be off.  that is all…

February 26th is looking to be an extremely sweet week for us.  Here are the FARR deals:

Super Poligrip FREE .75 is on sale for $1.99 with a $2 RR (says $1.99, but doubt it).  Shelf price is $2.29.

Natrol Melatonin t/r 5 mg 100 tablets are on sale for $4 with a $4 RR.  Shelf price is $10.49.

BluScience Eternal Blue dietary supplement 60 capsules are on sale for $10 with a $10 RR.  Shelf price is $29.99.

On the Go drink mix in orange rush, packet of 30 is on sale for $8 with an $8 RR.  Shelf price is $11.99, but it’s currently on sale for $9.99.

ReNew Life Ultimate Flora 30 capsules is on sale for $10 with a $10 RR.  It’s currently on sale for $24.99 BOGO.  Last year’s boxes had a coupon in them ($2?), but don’t know about this batch.

One MIR will be for Baby Magic Pattycake dustless powder .28 oz on sale for $6 with a $6 MIR (this will be in the March IVC).

Walgreens True Result Blood Glucose meter on sale for $14.99 with a $14.99 MIR.  Oh, good, just what we need – more meters!

This will be a great week to flip between either the two $10 deals or an $8 and a $2 against a $10 or an $8 and a $4 against a $10 and a $2…you get the idea.  What I like the most is that there are so many possible combinations that if one thing doesn’t come in or sells out, we’re still covered.  Call your stores now and place those specials.

Changes are coming down the pike to the weekly Wags ad.  Corporate has decided that people don’t really read the Sunday ad so they’re only going to print about half – the other part will be available online.  Stores will have the option of printing out the rest of the ad for their customers.  Obviously, our stores will be doing this.  Corporate is also thinking about eliminating some of the RR deals, focusing instead on online rebates.  I think both these ideas are foolish – the typical Wags customer is elderly and is limited in the driving he or she is able to do.   I personally like the feel and look of the printed ads because it’s too easy to miss something on the monitor…and anybody calling me elderly gets blocked by The Goddess!

Home again, home again, jiggity jig – The Wags saga – bump

You see here a collection of 60 receipts from Walgreens, split into 30 of the Wet lube and 30 of the Colgate, Sheets…the flip-flop transactions I posted earlier last week.  Total OOP was $16.20 for the Colgate side and $24 for the Wet side (which sounds deliciously vulgar, does it not?).   Had you just bought one set of each of these items, you would have spent $23.  So yes, I’m pleased.

These were all special orders and mine wasn’t even the largest!

UPDATE:  Everything is digital, guys!  Here’s a link to the Walgreen’s Q411_D&Y.  Page five has the $1 Colgate coupon.
