Huggies today

I hope all of you were able to find the Huggies – with three UPCs working, this deal is much more available to us, ’cause who knows how long it will continue?  I picked up a modest number of cases…well, modest for a third-world country perhaps…This is the back of my car with only a few of the cases of wipes – first I should have removed the 13 cases of got2b to make more room!

FREE Wipes at Wags – update

There are a total of THREE UPCs that work on this deal: UPC 36000 18976; 12110 and the newest one, Huggies One & Done Refreshing soft pack (don’t have the UPC).

Also works for the Soft skin shea butter wipes:  UPC 36000 18976

The Huggies Natural Care 72 ct tubs are on sale for $2.49 and they’re generating a $2 RR!  Use the 50¢ coupon from 2/12 S and it’s totally FREE!  Only UPC 036000 12110 works for the Register Reward, so make sure to take the right one (all of them are on sale).

I ran this to make sure everything works so go ahead and buy, buy, buy. Most Walgreens keep very limited stock on this item, so I’d recommend hitting up all the stores in your area in addition to placing any special orders. Lisle is ordering a supply from an outside warehouse because their warehouse wouldn’t deliver before Thursday(!), so call Lauren at Lisle if you want to place an order on anything (630/353-0252).

Wags 2/26 scenarios…in pictures!

I spent quite some time at Wags today, working on all the various ways to run this week’s Register Rewards deals.  The following is broken down into seven scenarios, but it’s pretty easy.  The Belvita RR is a stinkin’ $1.99, which tends to throw off my calculations, but we work with what we’re given, right?

Scenario No.1 – I’m starting with no RRs at all, just coupons and cash.  If you use any RRs, adjust accordingly.
1 Ultimate Flora $10
1 Natrol melatonin $4
1 Nivea lip balm $2.99
2 Cortaid BOGO $2.99
Subtotal is $19.98, so use the $3 Flora and 2 $3 Cortaid coupons; pay $11.33 with tax (Lisle) and get $16 in RRs.

Scenario 2, which will rotate with Scenario 3. I used the 6 pack of Nice raisins for a buck as the filler.
1 Burt’s bees lozenges $1.99
2 Cortaid BOGO $2.99
1 Eternal Blue $10
1 Belvita $2.99
1 filler $1
Subtotal is $19, so use $7 in coupons (1 coupon must be marked down 3¢) and $12 in RRs from Scenario 1. OOP is 33¢ (all tax) and you get back $14.99 in RR

Scenario 3, which rotates with Scenario 2
1 Flora $10
1 Natrol melatonin $4
1 Nivea lip balm $2.99
2 Cortaid BOGO $2.99
1 6-pk Nice raisins $1
Subtotal is $21, less $9 in coupons (mark down one coupon by 2¢). Use $11.99 from Scenario #2 and pay 37¢ OOP. Get $16 in RRs

Scenario No. 4 rotates with Scenario No. 5. I used a .33 individual caramel from the front register for my filler here.
1 Flora $10
1 Nivea lip balm $2.99
4 Cortaid BOGO $5.98
1 fill .33
Subtotal $19.30. Used $15 in coupons and a $4 RR. Paid 65¢ OOP and got back $12 in RRs

Scenario No. 5.  I used the $1 for 6-pk boxes of Nice raisins again
1 Natrol melatonin $4
2 Cortaid BOGO $2.99
1 filler $1
Subtotal $8. Used $6 in coupons (mark down one coupon by 1¢) and a $2 RR. Spend 15¢ OOP and get back $4 in RRs.

Scenario No. 6. Still using the $1 6-pk of Nice raisins.  (Scenario 6 & 7 are identical with the exception that 6 has the $1 raisin filler and 7 has none).
1 Burts Bees $1.99
2 Cortaid BOGO $2.99
1 Belvita $2.99
1 Filler $1
Subtotal $8.97. Use $7 in coupons (mark down one coupon by 3¢) and a $2 RR.  OOP is 16¢ and get back $3.99

Scenario No. 7, which contains no fillers
1 Burts bees $1.99
2 Cortaid BOGO $2.99
1 Belvita $2.99
Subtotal is $7.97. Use $7 in coupons, pay $1.11 OOP and get back $3.99 in RRs.

Okay, I THINK that’s it, but my brain is frying here. Ask if you have any questions. I would suggest ordering a bunch of Cortaid coupons if you don’t have any, because that’s the basis for most of these transactions. I bought mine from WeClipUSave, just ’cause they were so cheap, but feel free to go wherever you get the best deal. Remember, though, that the cheapest coupons do you no good if they arrive after the sale ends!

Wags 2/26

One more deal to throw into the RR flip flop game: The entire Cortaid line is BOGO. Since the best bet here is the $4.59 tube paired with the two $3 coupons we wanted to use on the Triaminic shutout (1/8 S1), I would recommend calling your Wags to place special orders.  Lisle’s number is 630/353-0252, if you want to use them. We Clip U Save has 2200 coupons at 12¢ each.

I’ll post when I work out the best scenarios, based on what is actually available in the stores (not just the ads), but I wanted to give you all as much lead time as possible.  Lisle will be ordering a large amount, BUT if you want to make sure you’re covered, best to call them as soon as possible with your order.

the warehouse called…they want their stock back

Reader sent this picture – you guys really make me laugh!  And apparently, there’s more coming with the special orders every one is placing.  One person put in (and paid) for a 300+ special order at Jewel  –  wow, that’s a lot of pain…must be married.

Tylenol Precise PSA

Stopped off at the Bolingbrook Wags (White Water & Boughton) for some trading/meeting up and to say hi to Jackie (HI, JACKIE!).  They have about 50 extra Tylenol Precise available, both patches and creams, so if you’re looking for a small score, give her a call (630-771-1479) or stop in.  This was less than two hours ago, and this is the slowest store in their district.

Wheaton Wags

Stopped at Wags on the way back from Wheaton Drama, mainly to check out the supply of got2b products – mighty slim pickins’!  Picked up eight products and went to throw in a couple more of the Thai Pop Chips, but they don’t carry that flavor.  gasp!

Say hi to Ben as I pass by photo, then up to front register with my pitiful eight items.  Cashier scans them and I hand over eight coupons, telling him that the last one will have to be adjusted down.  Can’t scan the coupon, so instead of retrying, he starts punching in all the numbers.  okay, then, if you want to do it the hard way…

Then he says I can’t use all the coupons because it’s buy one get one free.  He looks in the bag and counts the products.  Yup, still eight, bucky.  Says I can only use four coupons.  “BEN!”  As we wait for Ben, I tell this guy that Walgreens corporate policy allows for two coupons on a BOGO.   Ben comes over, looks to see what has already been rung up and then scans the rest of the coupons, marking down the last one by 4¢.  I tell him the original cashier also punched in the numbers instead of scanning the coupons – he needs to be retrained.

I might know what I’m doing (occasionally), but what about the customer only buying two products?  Or a newbie couponer?  From recent emails, I’m wondering if Steve has lost control over his staff.  It’s not enough for a manager to want couponers’ business if every single person down the line isn’t on board with that decision.

Any thoughts? Comment here, not just in a private email, so we can all read them, because I am concerned.

Wags tripping

Stopped in to Lisle to grab a few of the Tylenol Precise patches and creams with a side order of got2b products.  Vanessa said they had tons of got2b in the back and went to load up a cart.  Came out carrying this little box containing six of the volume powders.  I remarked that if she considers this a lot, she’s dealing with the wrong couponers!  She was amazed that everything from yesterday had been cleared out of the backroom already!  There’s another delivery on Saturday and we can always get rain checks, so no problems, it’s just funny to me.

Cashier rang everything up on one order (a nice change) and started laughing at the high total.  I had 25 Tylenol Precise, 24 got2b products and four bags of Pop Chips.  Used coupons and two expiring $4 RRs  Before coupons was about $212…after coupons was  $11.60 (crummy high tax on the got2b).

Wags U got2b Kidding

Stopped at Lisle to pick up a few more got2b products – they basically were begging me to clear the shelves before tomorrow’s delivery!  I obliged, but only slightly:  28 products.

But the main reason for this post isn’t the boring old got2b stuff, but a whole buncha theme notebooks and folders and planners for dirt cheap.  I picked up this folder and notebook for 49¢ each – others were KISS, AC/DC that I remember.  This will go to FirstBorn as part of a birthday gift (he likes the Beatles).

Keep your eyes open because these make great fillers.
