Wags 5/13 and 5/20 roll and 6/3

A very fast post here, but the MidNight Menopause and other similar products that are $5.99 with a $5 RR (lots of $1 coupons out there) can be held and then rolled the following week (5/20) into the Sheets sleep strips $4.99 with a $5 RR.  Yes, not only does Sheets make an energy boost strip, they cover you on the other side of the spectrum!

Sorry to be so short, but just got home from the last hurrah at the Elgin Walgreens, where I ran the rest of the Lanacane, etc. rolls.  Now I have a ton of Banana Boat and Laffy Taffy and water.  And again, a huge thanks to all the people at the Elgin Walgreens on Summit – one of the busiest weekends for this store and they still found the time to help those crazy couponers.  If you are anywhere near this location, check them out.  Only thing sucky is the 9% high sales tax, but you can’t win them all…

The week of June 3 will be an interesting one for rolls:  Brainstrong Kids Gummy Drops (vitamins, 30 ct) are on sale for $10 with a $10 RR.  Omega Ultra Smart Fish Oil (30 ct) is also on sale for $10 with a $10 RR.  No coupons to screw things up and they’re both low tax.  Does life get any sweeter?

Back from the all-day Wags run

Yes, that’s right – ALL. DAY. WAGS. RUN!  Drove up to our northernmost Walgreens – so far – where I was treated like royalty (and no, they didn’t try to cut off my head).  Since I know I’ll forget someone’s name, I’m just gonna say huge thanks to Pierre, the Store Manager, who has trained all members of his staff to be kind, courteous and efficient.  It’s very much appreciated.

Ran about 200 transactions of the Kotex U, Complete & a .15 filler to roll against the witch hazel, Lanacane and a small bottle of water for filler.  One transaction was $1.24 and the other was .25.  The Kotex U spun off a $3 RR that just accumulated.  This has all been detailed in a prior post.

The picture here is after the first set of transactions.  You can see the stack of $3 RRs in the foreground.  Buy two of the breakfast bars at 2/$5, two of the Banana Boat products and one of the Yardley body wash.  I ran it with a .15 candy filler.  Here’s the numbers if you want to run this tomorrow, when the 15% F&F promo no longer applies:  Buy the above items – subtotal is $17.98 plus a .15 or so filler.  Use either the $2 hang tag on many of the Banana Boat products of the $1 from 4/22 S, plus the $1 Yardley coupon, plus the $2/2 Banana Boat IVC from the Beauty Guide booklet (check with cosmetics, as it’s a new one).  The number of $3 RRs you use depends on the value of the coupons, but you know that already!  In my case, each transaction (with the 15% F&F promo) ended up at .41 plus lots of tax – or $1.60 in total.

And the breakfast bars spun off another $2 RR!  A great day.  A special hello to the readers who were so kind and funny at the Elgin Wags.  Thanks for stopping to tell me all those lies about how much better my site is than Rachel’s…

new Organic Girl $2 coupon

Organic Girl has a new $2 coupon on FB coupon to celebrate their birthday for use on their triple-washed line of lettuce blends.  The newer Walgreens with the fresh stuff sells this, as does The Lemon Tree Grocer in Downers Grove.  If you can find this at your local Walgreens, buy it today for another 15% off with the F&F sale.  Otherwise, hit up The Lemon Tree ’cause they’re always having produce deals. Last time I was there, they carried all varieties of the Organic Girl clamshell lettuce (Wags only had one or two).

Walgreens Banana Boat blow-out

Here’s a great new way to score some dirt-cheap Banana Boat sunscreen:  Banana Boat is BOGO this week at Walgreens.  Use the $1 mfr coupon from the 4/22 s, stacked with a store coupon in the newest Skin Care Guide for another $2/2 sunscreen and the 15% F&F discount today only and you’re paying a couple of bucks a bottle.  Hey, this stuff is over ten bucks for the bonus size!

Walgreens for almost-free Lysol Touch Starter Kit

Reader writes about her score of the Lysol Touch Dispenser at Walgreens:
Actually bought this today with the $3 Q from 4-15 S.
Sale price is $8.99.
Ad shows a $1.50 RR, BUT IT IS ACTUALLY $2.50!!
So $8.99 less $3 = $5.99 with $2.50 RR = $3.49.
Regular price is over $10; saw it at Jewel for $13 or so.
PLUS there is an EXTRA refill in the package besides the one that normally comes with the dispenser.
Combine this purchase with the $5 Lanacane and use a $10 RR from week before last to get both for under $2 with $7.50 RR back!
($2.50 for Lysol and $5 for Lanacane.)

Elgin Wags 5/6 stock update

Stephanie called to say the Elgin store has all the items in stock for the 5/6 -12 rolling deals – lots.   I’ll recap the major points and link to the original post because the comments have some excellent suggestions for fillers.  Any more ideas, let us know.

First transaction

Complete Multipurpose contact lens solution (12 oz).  Use $1 coupon from 4/29 S.  Pay $6.99 get $8 RR.

Second transaction

Dickinson’s witch hazel (16 oz) Pay $4 get $4 RR.  Note that this is not the yellow label cosmetic line but the blue label first aid line.

Lanacane Complete Maximum Strength.  Pay $5 get $5 RR.

There is now an insert coupon for the Complete solution (in 4/29 s). After you run the two transactions, you will end up with two RRs totalling $9. Transaction 1 needs either a $2 item with a small filler or two $1 items with no mfr coupon so that one of the RRs can attach to it and the other is because you’re now including the mfr coupon for Complete.  Some good ideas in the comments.

Kelloggs cereals, bars and pop tarts are on sale 2/$5 get $2 RR.  4/1 rp had $1/2 coupons for cereal  and 4/15 had $1/2 coupons for bars.  Obviously, if you have good tear pad coupons, this would work well for the above transactions.

Stephanie is the ExA (Executive Assistant Mgr).
Phone numbers are (847) 695-5847 and (847) 695-5745.
Monday Noon is the order deadline – both deliveries come on Wednesday.
When you place a special order, leave your full name and a couple of contact phone numbers.   They do ask that we not descend on them on Sundays like brain-starved zombies – give ‘em a few days into the week, por favor.

Walgreens 5/13

So far, only a couple of decent deals.  While they have other Register Rewards deals, no coupons are showing this far out.

MidNite Menopause chewable tabs (28 count) – $5.99 get $5 RR
NatuRelief Chewable tabs (30 count) – $5.99 get $5 RR
NatuRelief For Women Chewable tabs (30 count) – $5.99 get $5 RR

At first glance you think “Great!  Three rolls!  But these are all the same company, so that’s out.  On the positive side, though, it makes it much more likely that there will be stock!  Use the $1 coupons in 11/6 s, 1/15 s or 3/11 s.  If you are holding onto a bunch of Lanacane $5 RRs, this would be a good way to roll them, since it’s low tax.

Biggest RR deal, though is for the Starbucks Refreshers:  On sale for 99¢ with a 99¢ RR.  Use the FREE coupon in the 4/29 Pepsico insert or the $1 tearpad coupon (it’s out there – go find it!) and you’ll be paying tax (probably high) and getting paid to drink Starbucks.  Suhweet!  I’ll stock up at Jewel and CVS to tide me over until this sale starts.

Wags 5/6-12 – coupon added

The good news is that we have three items to roll – bad news is I was hoping for four!  Run two transactions back to back as follows:

The Kotex U tampons are once again on sale for $3.99 with a $3 RR.  The $1 coupon we used last week expires on the 5th.  And don’t bother hitting up a store that switches its sales on early because you will get the sale price but not the Register Reward.

PSA – the Kotex cats at Wags are rolling – not dead

Update:  The RRs are still printing, but someone ratted to corporate, who sent out an email that the second RR is supposed to be torn up.  Now, it’s quite possible that you’ll run into a store of functional illiterates and be able to run this, but I wouldn’t count on it.  I did tell you to hurry…People are obviously finding lots of illiterates because they’re rolling those cats like a wheel.

Hit up a couple of Wags with both new and old registers.  Tried to buy the Nips alone at Lisle, but the register shut down TWO TIMES.  So yes, I do hate these new registers, thankyouverymuch.

Use the $1 mfr from 3/25 S and a filler if you’re using any of last week’s RRs on the first transaction.  Subsequent transactions, I used one box of Nips (my mommy loves these.  Each transaction ended up either $1.08 or $1.13 OOP.  The difference?  Peanut butter parfait is considered a food item and is low tax.  Gotta love IL politicians.

Just set up a row of Kotex U tampons (the liners aren’t part of the $3 RR promotion) with the coupon and a filler on top and pay.  Then take the $3 RR you get and use it to pay for the next one down the row.  Rinse and repeat.

Whenever RRs have rolled in the past, it’s been corrected within a day or two, so do not wait on this one.
