Wags 5/20 or what to do with all those .99 RRs! – update

Yeah, you’re looking at that giant wad of Starbucks RRs, figuring you’re gonna have to fill a lot of containers at the Jewel olive bar – – but wait!  Here’s a few little scenarios to help you not only use up those RRs, but also get you more “stuff!”

Transaction 1:    Buy one Sleep Sheets strips for $4.99.  Buy Kotex U Sleek Tampons $3.99. Use the $1 Kotex U from 5/20 S.  You’re now at $7.98, so add 8 cheap fillers and pay with your .99 RRs.  Which will give you another $7.99 in RRs.

Add the following to the mix and you can probably eliminate one of the cheap fillers but you do your own math, depending on the price of your fillers.  At this point you’re not paying anything but high tax on the Ajax cleanser.

Ajax Cleanser B1G1 for $.99 w/in-ad coupon (Limit 4).  Use $1/2 Ajax, Fab, Dynamo, Final Touch or Niagara Product from 2/26 S or 5/20 S.  I’ve waffled about this for some time now, but I’m marking it deleted. Why? Well, when they ran the earlier coupon (it was a .50 off one, whereas the new one is $1/2), it had the same wording and same pictures: laundry products. Lots of people were trying to use it on the cleanser, but it wouldn’t scan. So you’re talking override. Now, some parts of the country may very well carry these brands of laundry detergent along with the cleanser, but I don’t see it around here. If you run one or two items, the world will not end; if you’re planning on using the cans as fillers to eliminate some Laffy Taffy on large transactions, I would advise against it. If the store got audited and couldn’t show that they even carried the laundry detergent, much less in the quantities “purchased,” then our group of Darkside Wags stores will be that much smaller.
