There was only dust in the dog food container – beagles were experiencing heart palpitations. Grabbed a bunch of inserts and headed to Wags, since I have a whole heap of RRs to burn within the next 10 days, my mom appreciates those Nips as fillers and I’m still getting that 15% library card discount through the 30th!

One of the red plum inserts from 9/9 has $1 off any wet ‘n wild or fergie nail polish; the basic w&w line has a normal shelf price of 99¢, so FREE POLISH!  Note that this coupon was NOT found in any of my Trib inserts, but I found some in the Sun Times and Chicago Suburban Buy.

Ran this four times just for funsies:  Print out this $2 IP for the Glade Expressions Starter Kits, which are on sale for $2.99 at Wags.  The catalina machine is spitting out TWO $1 RRs for each transactions.

I actually ran this, posted and then two things happened:  The piece of junk new router and/or modem crashed – but only for my Mac – PITA and I had to rush out to our show at Wheaton Drama.  Belated apologies…

The Glade weekly RR is overlapping with the Glade monthly RR which means TWO RRs on the Glade Decor Scents! Print out the following IPs (also in the 8/26 s) and trot on over to your local Walgreens store. Buy four for $10, subtract $4 in coupons and get back two RRs totalling $4! This is even less if you are in an area with the National Library Card promotion.  I used my library card plus a $5 RR and Coffee Nips and ended up paying 77¢ – or $1.77 for four Glade and the Nips!  The promotion at Walgreens includes both  electric and non-electric Decor Scents units.

If you’re running low on cubes, you can run this deal at Walgreens this week.  Buy two of the four-pack bundles @ $4 each.  The September IVC has a $1 coupon which will take off $2 (since you’re buying two).  The 8/12 S has a 50¢ off one Kleenex bundle pack, so another buck and you’re left with $5.  There is a Register Reward deal going on which generates a $2 RR when you purchase 7 or more boxes.  Since eight is more than seven…this deal will net you 8 of the 60 ct boxes of Kleenex for $3 plus tax.  And yes, I know it’s nowhere near as good as the deals we used to get, but stock up at least for the next couple of months, okay?

I wanted to pay with a $5 RR from the Alteril deal, so I needed something for it to attach to.  Chose the Suave because there aren’t any coupons and you buy two for $2 and get back a $2.  Works for me!

Note that the manufacturer coupon has to be pushed through because it’s looking for the rectangular (not cube) boxes even though the coupon reads ANY Kleenex bundle pack.  And honestly, I haven’t seen the rectangular bundle packs at Wags since last year’s Back to School promo.

Check this out!  Buy three of the 10 ct travel-size Cottonelle wipes and get a $3 RR back!  I bought six at 99¢ each (two transactions) and got back two $3 RRs!  Note that some of the Walgreens locations sell them for $1.29, which is a total deal-breaker, imo.

If you plan to run this deal, make sure you do it before Monday because this $3 RR is only supposed to be attached to the 42 ct packs and  I’m pretty darn sure they’ll fix it.

This week it’s the Chex Mix deal at Walgreens, where it’s either cheap, free or a money-maker, depending on your coupons and quantity purchase.  Chex Mix are on sale for a buck each.  The deal is tiered, where buying 3 gets you a $1 RR; 4 earns $2 and 5 scores the $3 prize.  Print out this IP as many times as you have computers.  There is a .50/2 coupon in the 8/05 GM insert, but obviously the IP is the way the go!

Got this alert earlier but wanted to do a tie-in post with September’s National Library Card Month.  Huh?  This Wednesday, August 29, is the Walgreens Friends and Family Event where all Walgreens, W- and Nice products will be discounted 20% at the register and name brands will be discounted 15%.  Shopping online?  Use promo code FAMILY15 to get 15% taken off your order plus free shipping starting at $25.

While I like this sale, I really, really like the National Library Card promotion during the entire month of September. Check your local library to see if they are participating (most are) and what promotions they have planned and which businesses are offering promotions.  In Lisle, our two Walgreens always offer 20% off Wags brands and 15% off name brands for the entire month of September – that traditionally has made a huge difference in my stock-up amounts and prices (Nutrisse Garnier for $1.32 anyone?)

I was hoping the this Sunday’s inserts would have a decent Glade coupon – but no.  So you’ll have to make do these IPs for the Walgreens RR deals starting the 19th.  Buy one Glade Expressions for $2.99, use the $3 IP if you printed it out earlier (it’s disappeared) and get back a $1 RR & a $1 RR (Wags & national promo).  I’m sure that they’ll pull the double dip here by tomorrow, so hit up your Wags while you can.  I’ve posted the Glade coupons that are still available.

Note that even with only a $1 mfr coupon, add in the two $1 RRs and you are still paying ZIP!

Pam says:  What I did a couple times at Meijer is buy the refill, which is on sale for $1.99, use the $1/1 IP and also use the buy a refill get a free starter kit from the 8/5 SS. You then get a $1 Meijer store cat, making everything free (minus high tax.)
