Free TRESemme @ Walmart, too

Update Note:  Not all Walmarts carry the 15 size bottles of shampoo and conditioner, so unless you’re driving over for something else, say free Suave Professional shampoo or conditioner, it’s a ymmv situation.

Walmart sells the same TRESemme basic line as Walgreens for $2.48, but they have the 15 oz size bottle and Walgreens has the 32 oz.  Either way, you’ll get free shampoo and/or conditioner and either way you won’t need to rush because $2.48 is the regular Walmart shelf price and the Walgreens deal runs through the end of October.

me?  i’m kinda shampooed out…

Deals are dead? More free shampoo & conditioner!

photo.JPGThe new October monthly deal at Walgreens has TRESemme shampoos and conditioners on sale, $3.50 for the base products (pictured) and $4.50 for the fancy-schmancy ones.  This is the price when you buy two or more.  Each product earns you 1,000 in points.

There are $2.50 coupons for both base products and the fancy ones in 9/29 rp.  I used my library card for the last day of the 15% discount and paid $4.11 for six plus high tax, and earned 6,000 points.  With no discount you will still be getting the basic line for FREE after points.  Remember, if you use points, you won’t earn them…

Which explains why I purchased the Mentos gum in a separate transaction:

The large Mentos bottles are on sale 2/$4. There is a $1/2 coupon in the October IVC booklet and a .75/1 in the 9/29 S.   Again, I used my library card and got two for $1.70 each, less the $1 and $1.50 coupons.  Total with high tax was $1.15;  I paid with 1,000 points, a dime and five pennies.  Without the discount you’ll pay $1.50 for both bottles – use your points, too!

Free or MM Robitussin @ CVS & Wags

This week both CVS and Walgreens have Robitussin on sale – CVS has it for $4.95 with a Buy 2 get $3 in ecbs promotion and Walgreens priced at $4.99 – obviously CVS is the winner in this category.  I’ve read that there is a limit of 5 per card at CVS, so you’d pay 90¢ for two bottles ($4.95 x 2= $9.90 less $6 in coupons ($3 in 9/29 rp or this $3 printable), less $3 in ecbs.

photo.JPGThere is a Pfizer rebate form in the 8/25 rp:  Get $6 back by mail when you buy any THREE participating products (mail in UPCs, original receipt with purchase price circled and original rebate form).  You’ll have to buy four at CVS to meet the rebate’s terms, but hey, it’s still a moneymaker!  At Walgreens it will still be free, but you could always use your points to purchase it.  Those of you without rebate forms, place a comment that you’d like one or two or whatever and I’ll email you back privately for vitals.

Jerk(y) at Wags

photo.JPG
If you passed on the Oberto beef jerky BOGO deal last week at Walgreens because of the high sodium levels, this week they have Jack Link’s jerky and Tender Bites for $2.99 (regular price is $6.49) – lots more variety and even a reduced sodium one (40% less than original Jack Link).  No BOGO coupons, but hey, you can’t have everything…

cheap Snickers & free baby carrots

photo.JPG

Walgreens has the Fun Size bags of Snickers for 2/$5. Buy six bags, use the $1.50/3 bags coupon from today’s red plum (or this 50¢ off one printable) stacked with the $1 IVC from the September booklet. You will end up paying $6.09 ($15 – $3 – $6) for the six bags. I used a couple of expiring RRs and some points to get them for 9¢, ’cause that’s just how I roll.  Note that this is the deal all of you can run; I  am able to run these deals for 15% less with my library card.

Here is the Snickers printable for those of you who like pretty pictures:
$0.50 off SNICKERS or MILKY WAY Brand Bites

photo.JPGShop & Save has Green Giant baby carrots on sale 3/$1. Use the $1 coupon from the first Jewel big coupon book and you’ll get three bags for free!  Which would have been all we spent had they not brought out trays of the fresh-baked sale rolls…

cheap Skippy – need more peanut butter?

$0.55 off any one (1) SKIPPY peanut butter product

Couple of choices for Skippy peanut butter because sometimes you just want your favorite.

Starting Friday, Dominicks will have the 40 oz jars of Skippy on sale for $5 on JFU.  You can extend the sale through the entire weekend and get a really, really big jar for $4.45 after printable;

Don’t wanna wait?  Get the normal-size (16.3 oz) jar on sale 2/$4 this week at Walgreens with the in-ad coupon (same $2/$4 price for Welch’s – use 7/28 rp $1/2), so $1.45 a jar after printable.  If you have RRs to burn and/or loads of points, this is the store deal to take.

Cheap Starbucks @ Walgreens

photo.JPG

viewMerchantCreativeStarbucks is on sale for $6.99 this week at Walgreens with an extra 1,000 points per bag purchased.  Buy 4 bags (make sure you get the bags with the Earn Free Drinks peelies) and use this $2/2 coupon (Revtrax coupon that seems to be unlimited print – – with the same numbers – – your call).  You’ll pay $23.96 after two coupons and earn 4,000 points.  Through October 19th, Starbucks has a rebate program that rewards your purchases:  4 bags earns you a $10 eGift card from Starbucks.  So after rewards, you’ll be paying $19.96 for four bags of coffee and a $10 eGift card.  If you only use one of the printables, you pay $2 more.  Not bad, huh?  Now, since I don’t like their coffee, this is going to Rachel.

If you have any RRs to spend, use them to bring down the cost since these earn points so you do not ever want to use points to purchase them…you will not earn those new points. I had my 15% library card discount plus some $8 RRs that I used to bring down the total to $1.38.

cheap L’Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare products – extremely cheap

photo.JPG

There’s an unadvertised Register Reward on L’Oreal Advanced Haircare products from September 9 through October 6, so let’s get some expensive haircare for cheap!  Remember that my Walgreens are participating in the National Library Card promotion this month, so my numbers will be 15% less.  Print out both the $5/2 and $2/1 coupons below; print at least two of each, since you’l be running separate transactions.  Products range from $3.99 to $5.99, so your math might be different because of this, too.  The Colgate mouth wash was the same transaction I posted about a few days ago.

You see here two transactions.  I bought shampoo and conditioner for $11.97 less 15%, or $10.17 less $7 in coupons = $3.17 with a $3 OYNO, not a RR (so it can be used at Jewel or Dominicks) – I used 3,000 points for even less OOP…

$5.00 off 2 LOreal Paris Advanced Haircare Product
$2.00 off any L'Oreal Paris Feria Wild Ombre Kit
$2.00 off L'Oreal Paris Feria Hair Color
$2.00 off L'Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Product
$2.00 off any L'Oreal Creme Gloss Hair Color

Free mouthwash @ Walgreens

photo.JPGFirst of all, I’m pretty much down for the count with a bad cold – feel like Death +2.  Notwithstanding that, I headed over to Walgreens to check on something in the ad that looked promising:  Walgreens has the Colgate Optic White toothpaste and mouthwash (8 oz) on sale 3/$9.  Big whoop, right?  But if you combine the $2 mfr coupon in the 9/8 S2 with the $3/3 September IVC, you’re looking at free mouthwash!  I tried it and it worked.  Had I run this without the 15% library discount, I would have paid high tax, but since I want everything that’s owed to me, I took the discount and a couple of Cadbury Fruit & Nut bars.  oh, like you wouldn’t have done the same…

Cinnamon Toast Crunch 2/.89 at Wags

photo.JPGWalgreens has Cinnamon Toast Crunch on sale this week for $1.67 – crazy high, right?  Use this $1 printable from the Betty Crocker site (you have to register to print and can print two) to get it for 67¢ or, if you live in Lisle (or another area that’s holding National Library promotions) you’ll get that extra 15% discount.  And voilà, you have two boxes for 89¢!
