The new October monthly deal at Walgreens has TRESemme shampoos and conditioners on sale, $3.50 for the base products (pictured) and $4.50 for the fancy-schmancy ones.  This is the price when you buy two or more.  Each product earns you 1,000 in points.

There are $2.50 coupons for both base products and the fancy ones in 9/29 rp.  I used my library card for the last day of the 15% discount and paid $4.11 for six plus high tax, and earned 6,000 points.  With no discount you will still be getting the basic line for FREE after points.  Remember, if you use points, you won’t earn them…

Which explains why I purchased the Mentos gum in a separate transaction:

The large Mentos bottles are on sale 2/$4. There is a $1/2 coupon in the October IVC booklet and a .75/1 in the 9/29 S.   Again, I used my library card and got two for $1.70 each, less the $1 and $1.50 coupons.  Total with high tax was $1.15;  I paid with 1,000 points, a dime and five pennies.  Without the discount you’ll pay $1.50 for both bottles – use your points, too!
