Seattle’s Best $2.50/lb…life is good

Photo1.jpgWent with Rachel to Ultra earlier today – not a big Utra fan, but we were near… not only did they not have any of the Seattle’s Best coffee advertised for $3.88 in this week’s ad, there wasn’t a place on the shelf for it and one employee didn’t think they even carried it.

So off to Walmart where I always have better luck – – and it’s a heck of a lot closer!  Picked up four bags for $7.79 after price match and coupons.  Print $2.00/1 here or use the $1 coupon in 10/20 S.  With the $2 coupons, you’ll end up paying $2.50 a pound – $3.84 with the $1 coupons. – $3.17 a pound with one of each.

Cheap Starbucks @ Walgreens

viewMerchantCreativeStarbucks is on sale for $6.99 this week at Walgreens with an extra 1,000 points per bag purchased.  Buy 4 bags (make sure you get the bags with the Earn Free Drinks peelies) and use this $2/2 coupon (Revtrax coupon that seems to be unlimited print – – with the same numbers – – your call).  You’ll pay $23.96 after two coupons and earn 4,000 points.  Through October 19th, Starbucks has a rebate program that rewards your purchases:  4 bags earns you a $10 eGift card from Starbucks.  So after rewards, you’ll be paying $19.96 for four bags of coffee and a $10 eGift card.  If you only use one of the printables, you pay $2 more.  Not bad, huh?  Now, since I don’t like their coffee, this is going to Rachel.

If you have any RRs to spend, use them to bring down the cost since these earn points so you do not ever want to use points to purchase them…you will not earn those new points. I had my 15% library card discount plus some $8 RRs that I used to bring down the total to $1.38.

quick thoughts on Shop & Save

Okay, made a pot of the PIMA $1.99 8 oz ground coffee from Shop & Save – not bad at all!  I’ve already told you how I add ground cinnamon as the first layer in the filter cone so the water hits the coffee and then cinnamon – there isn’t any harshness at all.

So is this back up the truck time?  Heck, yeah!  I’ll be stopping back shortly and maybe pick up a couple of the chickens, using the Jewel coupon (as pointed out, the coupon value is $3, but you have to spend $3.05+, so I’ll buy two and use one coupon, spending $2.98 for both).

On a side note, I spent my grocery cash (all $10!) at Ultra on PB&J, so when I stopped at S&S, I planned to use my debit card to take out cash:  They don’t give cash back on any cards!  Just something to plan ahead for, certainly no major setback, but maybe you’d want to reverse your shopping and make Ultra the last stop.

cheap(er) Seattle’s Best frozen coffee

The current Walmart ad shows Seattle’s Best Frozen Coffee Blend for $2.68.  Use this $1 printable from the Seattle’s Best site.  It asks for name, zip and email and obviously isn’t too picky (I’m Valued Customer and live in the high-rent district). bwahahahahaha
