Allegra update 2

Readers have said that they’ve found the 5-ct Allegra at Walgreens for $6.99, plus there is apparently a non-advertised price of $4.14 on it at Kroger.  Since it’s unadvertised, I can’t check if it’s also at Food4Less, but if anyone is heading over there, please check it out and report back.  Also, some CVS locations are substituting other brands – I’ve personally experienced this during other sales because the manager didn’t like giving out rain checks.

If you’ve been having difficulty finding the 5-ct packs of Allegra at Walmart or CVS, Osco has them on sale for $5.  make sure you have sufficient items for overage…  ’nuff said…  word to the wise and all that… Soft Soap is a buck a bottle…

Okay, I’ve been out doing some serious damage, but now I’m back.  Any questions, please use the contact tab.

Walmart – $50 iTunes eCard for $40

Apple iTunes $50 eGift Card is available for a limited time and only two eCards per person.  Other values are available, but they’re full price.

Normally I don’t trust this stuff, but this email came directly from Walmart, so I feel better about posting it.

Head’s up on Allegra $7 coupon

The 4/1 SS $7 Allegra coupon has a very short expiration date of 4/8 and states limit one coupon per transaction.  At this time I can’t be sure if all Chicago papers will have this coupon – I think last time, most of the Trib subsidiary papers (Wall Street, etc.) had it, but who knows this year?

IF you get your paper on Saturday (and your CVS hasn’t switched over to Sunday sales yet), head over to Walmart because the 5 ct boxes are on a price roll back to $5 (from $5.94).  They also have the 6 ct children’s Allegra for $6.97, still free if not a MM.

BIC razors WM price match

If you have no Ultra grocery stores near you, you should be able to price match at Walmart (print out the online ad to bring with you).  This price match was Rachel’s idea – I’m just her … female dog … (I’m cleaning up my act!).

Picked up five packs of the men’s Sensitive razors – the women’s ones were sold out.  Normally priced at $2.96, they price-matched the Ultra ad (brought it with) and then used the coupon.  The floor mgr first told me that the picture on the coupon had to match the product.  I pointed out that it would be virtually impossible to put every single BIC razor on the front of a coupon.  He then said that the coupon only allows four to be used.  I said “fine” ’cause they’re crappy razors and I’m only trying this deal to post about it.  see you and raise you.  I don’t want to imply that anyone was rude in any way; both men were very polite.

Five packs of razors were 73¢ because this is all high tax stuff, baby.

WM – Puss in Boots DVD $17.96 shipped

Walmart has Puss in Boots for $17.96 with FREE shipping to your home.  While Amazon has this same Puss in Boots DVD for $16.99, you have to pay shipping unless you have Prime or spend over $25 on qualifying purchases.

One of the few 2011 movies I saw, this one was a stitch and had dialogue appropriate for children, with enough innuendo for adults.

Target – 12 bin storage organizer – better price at WM

Do you see any difference in the two products? I don’t. Well, except that theWalmart one is $27 CHEAPER!!!   And it’s free shipping to store.  And I don’t know if this is a mistake and they’ll cancel the orders placed, but I’d go for it. These are great ways to get your kids to at least TRY to clean up their rooms.

This 12 Bin children’s storage organizer is on sale for $79.99 shipped (list $119.99).  To me, the biggest savings is not having to pay for shipping.

Other daily deals include a Black & Decker white steam mop for $59.99.

Walmart ad-match policy

Thought it might be a good idea to post the official Walmart Ad Match guarantee.  You can click on the link to read their entire coupon policy or read the ad match section following:

We’re committed to providing low prices every day. On everything. So if you find a lower advertised price on an identical product, tell us and we’ll match it. Right at the register.

We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:*

  • Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price
    • Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO)
  • Competitors’ ads that feature a specific item for a specified price.
  • Preferred shopping card prices for specific items that are in a printed ad.
  • For fresh produce and meat items when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each)

*The following are guidelines and limitations:

  • We will match any local competitor’s advertised price.
  • We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor’s ad.
  • Items purchased must be identical to the ad (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.)

We DO NOT match the price in the following types of competitor ads:

  • Items that require a separate purchase to get the ad price
    • example: “Buy [item A] to get [item B] for $C”
  • Items with no actual price that require a purchase to get free product
    • example: “Buy both [items A & B] to get [item C] for free”
  • Items that require a purchase to get a competitors’ gift card
    • example: “Buy [item A] to get a $B gift card
  • Buy one, get one free (BOGO) ads with no actual price given
  • Going out of business or closeout prices
  • Percentage off
    • example: “All mascara, 40% off”
  • Competitors’ private label price promotions

We do not honor:

  • Ads when the actual price for items cannot be determined.
  • Internet pricing
  • Misprinted ad prices of other retailers
  • “Going out of business” sales or “close out” prices

If you’ve been having problems with your Walmart following their own policies or experience ymmv situations, you might want to print out the pages from their site (using the link) and keeping it with you.

Free Scrubbing Bubbles at Family Dollar ymmv

I say that this is a ymmv deal because not every Family Dollar store carries the same merchanise, but if your’s carries the Scrubbing Bubbles starter kit, you can score some FREE products with the following IPs. Note that the Bolingbrook store on Rte 53 does not carry this item. And it was different in there today, normal-like, no people watching your every movement – to catch you shoplifting or just to creep you out (works for me).

Walmart has a $4 Scrubbing Bubbles coupon hidden in its enhanced section – huh?  Click and you’ll start on WM and then get directed to the Scrubbing Bubbles site, where you can print out two $4 coupons per computer.  These are regular ole mfr coupons, don’t say Walmart anywhere on them at all.  Take them over to a Family Dollar store, where they’re on sale for $4 all month and what do you have?  FREE cleaning supplies!

There are deals coming up at Wags and, I think, CVS, but they won’t be FREE.
