Okay, for a first day and time using only the APP, it wasn’t too bad.  Actually, it was rather quick and either they did away with LOSER tickets, or I was just lucky, ’cause I won 42 tokens (25 on one ticket alone) plus beverages, a sour cream, Signature French bread plus $2.  Now I’m wishing I had handfuls of tickets like prior years – just imagine my haul then!  Don’t see any gift card rewards that aren’t Jewel, which sucks, but free is always good and I should stop complaining.

Nothing about this past year has been normal. That includes the most popular annual contest at one of the country’s largest grocery chains.

The thirteenth annual Monopoly Shop, Play, Win game begins today at Albertsons, Safeway, Pavilions, Vons, Randalls, Tom Thumb, ACME, Jewel-Osco, United Supermarkets, Shaw’s, Star Market and several other smaller, regional Albertsons-owned stores. Stopped in at Jewel to pick up drug refill (no fun stuff, although they should add a bonus pack of valium or xanax or something after a certain number of stamps on your card imo) and found lots of these Bay scallops marked down to only $3.99 (from $9.99), so we grabbed six, which would have put the total above the $21 mark for that coupon from today’s mail, but then saw these two 50% off Pre grass-fed ribeyes and since they were already on sale AND there’s a $2 Ibotta on two they went into the cart, plus the La Brea bread had a $1.50 sticker on it as well.  Total was just over $15 or less if you include the rebate APPs like 25 points from Fetch Rewards.
