Demon Girl (The Rae Wilder Novels) This is book one of a series, geared towards young adults, so if you’re trying to get your kids to read…

Spinning by Michael Baron.  Dylan Hunter has it made. At 29, he has great friends, a huge job, all the women he can handle, and no commitments. A public relations executive, Dylan has dashed up the ladder of success by mastering the art of the spin – bending the truth to his and his clients’ needs. But when a former lover steps back into his life with a three-year-old girl by her side (no, she’s not his), Dylan suddenly finds himself in a place he can’t spin himself out of. And when Dylan unexpectedly becomes the child’s sole guardian, he finds himself to be like a circus performer trying to keep all of his spinning plates from crashing to the ground. In what seems like a blink of the eye, Dylan Hunter’s life has changed completely…whether he’s ready for it or not.

The free samples of Quaker Oats Squares I posted about the other day state that the limit is one sample per household per day, which means more free food!  Click here to get to their FB page, then like them.  I happen to like this cereal very much and stocked up heavily during that last great Dominicks deal earlier this year.

Even though the cereal squares are sweetened, you need something for your coffee, right?  Here’s a free sample of Soooo Sweet stevia sweetener.

AMAZON

Bumping up the following, because I checked and they’re still running.

Community Coffee 12-Ounce Bags (Pack of 3) is still a great deal:  $15.75, less the Subscribe & Save discount and you’re at $13.39 AND if you’ve clipped the $3 coupon you are down to $10.39 or $3.64 a bag.  I was given a couple of sample bags to try and I think this is a damned smooth coffee, especially considering the price.

I’m probably going to pick up the Community Coffee Ground Coffee, Hazelnut, 12-Ounce Bags (Pack of 3) because it’s even cheaper:  $14.89 less the Subscribe & Save option, which gets you down to $12.66, less the $3 coupon (from the main deal page) and you’re paying $3.22 a bag!  Last time they had the Hazelhut flavor, it got jacked up within a couple of hours, so if you like/want/need a smooth, all around coffee, go for it.  Hey, and use up some of those Swag Buck awards you’ve been accumulating, okay?  Which makes it totally free…

Our old friend Kraft Grated Parmesan, 8 Ounce Cannister (Pack of 12) is still running.  Unbelievable that it hasn’t yet finished, given how cheap Subscribe & Save makes it:  $1.76 per jar.  If you can find it in any grocery store, on sale, unexpired (for Dominicks shoppers) for less than $3, I’ll be stunned.  The shipment Rachel and I shared had dates a year in advance; I keep the extras in my nice cool basement.  Again, for this price you can use up half and toss the rest, split the order with a friend, keep what you need/want and sell the remainder to cover your own costs…the possibilities are endless!

Freebies

Forgot to post this the other day, but Dollar General is selling the individual packs of tic tacs for .75; there is a .75 coupon in the 6/12 r (exp. 8/31)

I’ve told you in the past about the bizarre collection of magazine offers I receive, supposedly geared towards my interests:  Dirt Rider?  Long-haul trucker?  puhleez.  But here’s something you might want to try for:    The first 500 people to sign up for the Home Improvement Weekly eNewsletter through freebizmag.com receive a 1-year subscription (10 issues) to This Old House Magazine!

I’ve run this sample offer before, so if you’ve already gotten your’s, probably won’t get one again.  Click here for a free sample of Nivea Touch of Cashmere Cream Oil Body Wash.

HOT DD Jewel catalina

Just got back from Jewel, where I was testing out a double dip cat that just started at Jewel:  Buy two SnackWell’s breakfast bars and get a $1 cat OYNO and a $3 OYNO!  woot!  Works beautifully.  For each transaction of two ($5) I used a $1/2 from the 6/19 S and the two OYNOs from the prior transaction – the first transaction I used the one $1.50 cat coupon I got during the NV cat, so I wasn’t out the entire $4.  Yes, I am that cheap.  Subsequent transactions ended up OOP .09.

I gave a heads up to the Lisle Jewel, so they’re going to be getting in as many of these as they can, since the cat runs through 8/7, giving you lots of time to get those coupons in your hot little hands.  I checked on CouponDede and she’s selling the $1/2 coupons for .15 each, with no limits.  There was a .75/1 coupon, but it was regional (not Chicago region) and pretty much sold out everywhere.
