Coupon Dede

Just received an email that Coupon Dede is having a 20% off sale on all her coupons (including Sunday’s PG inserts).  Just type JULY20 and get 20% off your entire order.

The only coupons worth getting right now (that I can see) would be either the Lumene $4 ones currently showing at .40 each (even if Steve can’t get the product – long story – you can always pick them up for free at CVS through 8/15) and/or the $1 coupons for MotrinPM currently listed for .10 each.  While not a huge MM, this time around Steve has already stockpiled 500 boxes and will be ordering more.  If you’re looking for any other coupons, just click on the sidebar banner.

CVS and the magic coupon machine

I’d read that the magic coupon machine was showing the love by increasing our ass-size…in other words, a coupon was spitting out for $1 off Pringles grab ‘n go cans; the usual price of these is a buck. hmmm

Well, I tried it on a couple of cards and it printed for each.  Threw in a few of the Lumene .5 oz jars that were free with those $4 coupons from last week’s inserts.  I’m hoping for a large delivery of inserts, since I want to stock up on this stuff.  I’ve decided that the vitamin C one is my new best friend.  Can’t wait for Steve to get in the two varieties that CVS doesn’t carry and see how they rate.

The Dove men care deodorant is on sale for 2/$7; spend $15 and get $5 in ecbs.  Didn’t bother with this one because, even though there is a $3 in today’s rp, it still works out to being $2.50 in US cash to get back $5 in CVS play money.  Sorry, Charley, don’t need any deodorant that I pay for.  Lately, the only thing I could see buying would be milk on sale…which it’s not.

Free Lumene

Okay, now that I got Mariposa’s attention (go change your britches, girl), I’ll continue.  As you know, last Sunday’s SS had a $4/1 coupon for Lumene products, sold at both CVS and Walgreens.  The CVS deal worked out best when you bought the five .5 jars of cream because you paid tax and earned $5 in ecbs.  After that, though, it’s just free.  Still a fantastic deal on a relatively expensive skin care product (for drugstores). Only problem is that CVS never has sufficient stock and they only carry the two types and Wags only sells the .5 jars online…so naturally I placed a call to Wheaton…

And found out that Lumene makes all four of their product lines available in the .5 jars.  So Terry/Steve have calls in to the company’s sales rep to see what kind of quantity they can get delivered (Lumene warehouse is well-stocked).  If you have any interest at all in this great deal, please give them a call and let them know as an informal basis for how many they should order.  I checked and CouponDede has these at .40 each with no limits. So, buy 12 coupons for $4.80 and postage and get 6 ounces of product.  Since the usual jar is 1.7 oz and retails for about $20…you can see the savings…

CVS and Lumene

I read good reviews about this skin care line (insert shameless plug for free stuff) and when I finally got the CVS weekly ad, realized that I could score some for cheap, if not free.  The first CVS store had 4 creams (@ $4.19) on the shelf – so I took them and threw in a makeup remover to bump me up to $20 (Buy $20 get $5 ecbs).  The remover, even though it’s a skin care product, was not part of the promotion.  The ecb didn’t print but the cashier forced it through.

Second CVS (hey, I was just driving by, not doing a road trip) had lots of these jars – at $3.99! – so I took five more and returned the makeup remover and “bought” another cream with the refund.  In total, I spent $3.92 (high tax) and earned $10 ecbs.

If this stuff is as good as the reviewers claim, I would have no problems with getting it for only free.

cvs – you win

I give up.  I read that the Buy 2 Hawaiian Tropic products and get $10 in ecbs deal included the lip balm.  Well, at about $2.98 for each lip balm, you would be making about $4 overage, so I headed over to the newest CVS in my area…

Could not find any of Hawaiian Tropic lip balms.  The clerk was very nice and directed me to the four areas where they display lip balm/sun care products, not including the displays in the front of the store or next to the registers.  Yes, I slogged all around the store for nothing, nada, zip, zero.

If you want to brave CVS, go for it and let me know what happens.  What kind of lunacy has a store putting lip balm in a zillion places?  To disguise the fact that they really have no inventory?

Stolen from MUM hehehehe

You know of my great love of CVS *cough, cough* but my love of money overcomes all.  So when I saw this post on MUM’s site, I had to check further.  Click here to go to Walmart’s coupon page and check out all the coupons you might need/want/desire.  Now click the Zyrtec button at the bottom right, then go to the $5 coupon and print two times (per computer).  Do this only if you have more than one card – whichofcourseyouwouldnhthavebecausetheysaylimitoneperhousehold – whew!  In keeping with the twin CVS policies of not having products in stock and preventing you from buying more than one or two of those products (should they ever happen to be in stock), take the coupon, buy one 5 ct Zyrtec for $5.99, hand over the $5 coupon and a buck and change and get $5.99 in ecbs back.  Personally?  I’ll get the ecb and wait until they have cheap milk…

CVS Pepsi 12-pks .99 – Update II

Apparently CVS sent out emails to the stores that only “selected” customers would receive these coupons…I got one for my card, but none for my husband’s card.  Great way to foster the notion that CVS loves some people more than others.  Can you imagine walking into a Wags and finding out that your RR didn’t print because  you weren’t one of the (with apologies beforehand to MUM) Chosen People?  Also, the free Hershey can only ring up one per transaction, so separate deal for one lousy candy bar.  And they wonder why their sales suck donkey balls?  Let me count the ways…

How about some free chocolate bars to go with that cheap cola?  Click here for a CVS coupon for Hershey’s Air Delights chocolate bar.  Print limit is two per computer.

Just received an email from CVS that tomorrow, June 15th, only, they will be selling 12-packs of diet or regular Pepsi for .99 with store coupon.  This coupon prints out of the magic coupon machine for everybody, so don’t worry about being left behind.  Limit one per card. hehehehehe

CVS

The CVS ad that says “limit 5” lies.  you probably don’t want to bother with the Ogden/Naperville store...just sayin’

CVS for free Dove deodorant – 1 day only deal

Now this is truly sad:  I knew about this deal, I have the damned CVS ad open on the dining room table and I still forgot to post it.  So thank you, Jackie, for reminding me…

Starting Sunday, 4/24, CVS will have the 2.7-3 oz sizes of Dove Men deodorant or antiperspirant for 80% off or .99 each – limit 5 (per card, hahahaha).  Use the $1/1 coupon from 3/27 RP; there was an IP available, but it seems to already have reached its print limit.

NOTE: This insert coupon expires on 4/24, so this a one-day only, one-shot deal.  If your store resets on Saturday, so much the better, otherwise, stop in on your way to/from church.  I, of course, belong to the Church of Extreme Savings, so that won’t be a problem.

CVS, Wags, PetSmart, pet shop, library, Jewel, collapse…

CVS for the Aquafresh toothbrushes and pump. They’re part of the $5/5 oral health care promo, so buying 5 or more brings you down to coupon price.  Sadly, this was all they had on the shelf so ended up .51 OOP.  I’ll check back later in the week for toothbrushes when their next shipment comes in.

Wags was only a quickie stop to grab twelve Capn Crunch clearance boxes using the .50/1 from today’s inserts.  OOP was .11, probably the only thing I’ve bought at Wags for low tax!

On to PetSmart, where I just noticed that they are charging up to 10% tax on some pet food.  Wheaton basically sucks donkey balls when it comes to taxation.  If I had to actually pay cash for this stuff I’d be broke.  They let me run everything in one transaction, using three of the $5 store coupons and the various mfr coupons:  22 cans of Friskies; 40 cans of Mighty Dog; 2 pedigree.  OOP was $4.  Note the coupon matchups were from the prior post.  I’ll hit the DG one another day to empty out my wallet.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  I really hope you are using the PetSmart coupons with your name and PetPerks number on them.  They checked my coupons against my card (!) because they had received a corporate memo that the ones with the blank space where the names/numbers are usually printed are fraudulent (with copies of coupons people had tried to use taped to the registers).  They told me that mine weren’t right because the print type was different than what corporate sent out, but since my name and number were on them and matched my card, that wouldn’t fly (I don’t know why the type would be different, unless I have a mac?).  Either way, they were very courteous and I do not mean to imply that it was anything but a pleasure to shop there.

Stopped at Puppy Parlor to drop off ten Sunday papers (not all mine!) – wait, you actually read the print edition?

Jewel was almost completely out of Fuze – apparently some sonofabitch came in last night and took 500 off the shelves and out of the backroom.  There is a reason why we special order, folks.  Otherwise mgmt gets pissed because there’s nothing left for those regular shoppers and especially today because there was a table set up for sampling.  Hard to sell and sample limited product…

Ended up with four SB milk, 16 Fuze, seven Allegra (for MUM’s House of Plague), Deans light cream and two packages of Jewel brand lima beans.  I used the $2/25 from the Jewel email, coupons on everything else except the cream.  PITA found three FREE jewel veggies cats, so used one.  OOP was $5.13 and I freaked, thinking I’d missed a coupon.  Realized at the very end that my cream alone was $4 – silly Goddess.   I’ll probably hand over a small RR to get cash back when I return tomorrow for more Allegra and Fuze.

NOTE: Jewel warehouse computer had a glitch/hiccup and no Fuze was sent out yesterday, so 17 stores are short.  ouch! Deliveries will be made tonight, so it should be back in stock, although I don’t know of the quantities available then.  Get a rain check.
