I read good reviews about this skin care line (insert shameless plug for free stuff) and when I finally got the CVS weekly ad, realized that I could score some for cheap, if not free. The first CVS store had 4 creams (@ $4.19) on the shelf – so I took them and threw in a makeup remover to bump me up to $20 (Buy $20 get $5 ecbs). The remover, even though it’s a skin care product, was not part of the promotion. The ecb didn’t print but the cashier forced it through.
Second CVS (hey, I was just driving by, not doing a road trip) had lots of these jars – at $3.99! – so I took five more and returned the makeup remover and “bought” another cream with the refund. In total, I spent $3.92 (high tax) and earned $10 ecbs.
If this stuff is as good as the reviewers claim, I would have no problems with getting it for only free.
We swear by Lumene since my family is all from Finland this deal was definately cream-in-my-pants worthy…uh…yeah. Splurge and get the artic cloudberry packets…or ask for a fucking sample at walgreens. Its all so much like God’s vagina.
I’ll ask at Wag about that then, ’cause neither CVS nor Wags online has that Arctic product. Of the two small sizes, the vitamin C and the Time Freeze (or whatever they call them), which one is the best, in your opinion? Or is anything free good?
I usually avoid CVS like the plague but they have Lumene store coupons usually. Wags is just starting to carry them allegedly. Definately try the artic cloudberry teeny tiny orange thumbnail packets, sold in a jar…or the vitamin c serum is AWESOME and does wonders…think the latter is like 14.99esque. I seriously went crazy when my ghetto wags clearanced all Lumene products to 1.00 and guiltlessly bogarted them allllll… I’ve never been disappointed and their cosmetic line rocks one’s sock off.
Oh and I’m too lazy to bback track in your posts on my phone but can someone in the coupon world gods please contact strack and !@#til and ask them what the fucck is up with all their cock blocking 30 days expired coupons signs at their self checkout? Apparently I don’t have the coupon clout to make them scared and shake iin their knees…when I use their online contact me form…but who knows how much u girls have with your splendirifous blogs
which strack’s is that? cause it still says 30 days on their website. Print it out and bring it in and ask loudly for people’s names so you can know who’s responsible when you call corporate about them not following policy…
Thanks, Rachel. You sound like you’re channeling your inner bitch…nice to finally see it out in the open!
And I think mariposa shops at the Elston Avenue store in Chicago (otherwise known as cloud-cuckoo land).
Yes it was the Elston location…and whoa! Don’t mess with Rachel! Will definately go when I’m back in the city and done with vacation.
Although you just returned the one item, it made me think, can you buy stuff just to get the ECBs or RRs and then return them? Not saying go in there weekly and do this, but you know.
You know, I’m not sure because I’m not really a CVS shopper. But since the deal is tied to your card, they could very easily take it back, I’d guess. You can definitely buy Wags stuff for the RRs and return them. If you had the receipt they’d see that it was the week you got an RR; without a receipt you’d get a store credit. But seriously, you’d get maybe one or two refunds and then BAM, you’re locked out of the game and it’s really hard to find a good Wags, so we don’t want to ever piss them off. Like placing a special order and then not picking it up… Oh, in my case at CVS, I just wanted to exchange the one item for the other, but the clerk did it this way. Either way I got my total of 10 products.
