Culinary Circle Pizza cheap, cheap

Just read about a deal (on CW) where the Culinary Circle pizzas were ringing at BOGO, instead of 2/$9.  Had a friend check it out, it worked and I flew over to Jewel and picked up ten, count ’em, ten pizzas for $22.89.  I found a $2 cat so my actual OOP was $20.89.  These are some seriously good pizzas, so hit your Jewels as hard and as fast as you can.

Jewel professional pans 1 cent sale

Jill Cataldo has complete info on the Jewel promo all the boards have been buzzing about.  Starting August 26th through January 12, 2011, every $10 that you spend (before coupons) earns you a sticker which you place on cards you get from customer service.  Note that .99 rounds down and .01 rounds up.  Fill up the cards and get a pan for one penny!  I checked out these pans on eBay and the Jewel retail price is, surprise, a little optimistic, but the reduced price isn’t bad (if you only have a half-filled card).  But since extreme couponers don’t pay but tax, it looks like a sweet deal.  I’m already thinking about how the Ken’s dressings and Right Guard will work with this one (eyeballing the roaster pan).  Although I’d much prefer cash (catalinas) over pans, it’s still a whole lot better than that stupid iTunes promo.  I’ve added a picture of the brochure.  It contains info on the various pans and a couple of pages for stickers; each brochure has spaces for 130 stickers.

Jewel 8/26-9/1

Jewels hasn’t been very appealing, deal-wise, for the last few weeks.  Next week I see the Right Guard deodorant as part of the 10/$10 which matches up with either a $1  printable (already reached its limit) or a BOGO from 7/25 RP or a $1.50/2 from 8/15 RP.

And free Ken’s salad dressing using the $1/1 coupon from 8/15 SS.

I’ll add more as I work them out…

Free Ken’s Dressing Coupons Giveaway

This week’s Jewel ad has Ken’s salad dressing on sale for $1.  The 8/15 SS has $1/1 coupons which equals FREE.  Since I seem to have accumulated quite a few of these inserts ( 70?)  I hereby declare a giveaway.  Comment and win!  I’m not looking for any sob stories, or any stories at all, actually.  Three randomly selected readers will receive 10 coupons each.  The giveaway starts now and goes through Thursday, August 26th at 5 pm.  I’ll send out notifying emails that evening and ask that you respond as soon as possible with your full name and address.   I’ll start clipping now and filling those envelopes.  The remaining 40 coupons?  I’ll stop by Jewel today and place a special order and either donate a bunch or drop them off to Mashupmom for her garage sale (sorry, Rachel, couldn’t resist).

For those who can’t imagine using up 10 bottles of salad dressing – you’re just not being creative.  I use tons of Italian salad dressing as a quick marinade.  Just poke some holes in the meat, dump it in a ziploc, add the dressing and place in refrigerator for a day or two.  Easy-peasy (my stock in trade).  and if it’s Dominicks clearance meat, you’re way ahead of the game.

I’m out on a Sunday morning!

Stopped at Jewel for the Kraft salad dressing MM.  I only had 7 of the $1/1 coupons left, since they were on sale at Butera a month or so ago for .99.  Did two transactions of 5 each; first one was $1.82 and the second was $3.77 since I only had two $1 coupons and used three $.35 coupons attached to the bottles.  So I put out $5.59 and got back $10.

Next stop CVS for the Blink gel tears.  I actually use this stuff for one of my dogs.  Still have plenty from a fantastic MM at Wags months ago, but I had some expiring ECBs, so figured better pick it up.  I did two transactions, using two CVS cards, but obviously the totals would be exactly the same.  Each receipt was for $.52 cents broken down as follows:  Blink Tears sale price $7.99, 4 Mentos Gum BOGO $1.69.  Used  2 $1.50/1 Blink printables and four $1/2 from the 7/18 SS and two ECBs for $7.99 each.  So OOP was $1.04, but I got back two $7.99 ECBs.  Not a total loss.

Jewel deal Sunday 8/22 only

CW is reporting that Jewel will have a Kraft buy five get $5 promotion starting 8/22 and limited varieties of salad dressing should be included.  Currently shelf-tagged at $1.32 each (ymmv), use the $1/1 coupon from 6/20 SS which expires on 8/22, so your scenario would look like this:

5 x 1.32 = $6.60, less $5 insert coupons = $1.32.  A potential $3.40 MM.

Jewel deals have been so few and far between lately that this little one gets me excited.  sad…

Jewel Avenue Preferred Card

I don’t know how many of you shop at Jewel.  If you do, you must have signed up for a preferred card, since that’s the only way you can get great savings.  Having said that, how many of you actually go on line every week to check out the “special” savings applied to your card(s)?  Hmmmm?  Just as I thought.  Go here Jewel and sign up or if already registered, check your offers.  If you are signed up for their weekly emails you can also get some great deals.  This week is a $1 off Haagen Daz, which is in addition to any sales or coupons you might use.  Lately Jewel has been a real snooze for deals, but if you like/need this ice cream, since it isn’t on sale and there are no current coupons, go for it.  Or, as we say, whatever floats your boat…

How Many Bottles of Tea Fit In A Trunk?

As well you might ask.  This was another strange deal…..Coca Cola product, for which I had fifty cent coupons.  With a BOGO, it ended up costing me low tax, or two cents a bottle. Lost count after 190 bottles. People are starting to refer to my Beverage Basement.
