I know, I know, really have to get off the computer, but the World o’ Amazon keeps drawing me in, link after link….case in point: these really cute diaper covers in over 30 colors/patterns for boys and girls. Prices range from $2.40 (82% off) all the way on up to $13. HAH! don’t think so…

Coffee
While at Jewel a short while ago (picking up my HC mixers, dontchaknow), I checked out the 8 o’clock coffee, reason being that I just got my four bags from Amazon delivered today. Same bag of coffee at Jewel was $7.79. And what did I pay?…..$11.24 – four bags – delivered. If you are looking for deals, check out any of the 8 o’clock flavors/grinds/whole beans. If you don’t like that brand, then check on some of the other ones on sale. Remember, your cheapest price will be with the Subscribe and Save (which gives you free shipping AND which you can cancel at any time) and the code SOLOCOF5 I might just place another order, since I actually didn’t pay anything using Swagbucks.
Just tried another flavor (Mocha Ground) and it was even less: $11.15. scary….
Amazon
Well, I was able to get some coffee, but the Hazelnut had jumped from $18 to $37. This is
one of the hazards of buying from Amazon – you see something you like/want/need and a couple of hours later, just when you’ve decided to go for it, bamm, the price has skyrocketed.
Having said that, I was wandering around and saw these Woodear mushrooms – 1 Lb Bag. Lots and lots of dried mushroom. How can they sell packages of dried mushrooms so cheaply – less than ten bucks a pound? I’ve ordered spices from this company in the past (smoked paprika anyone?) and always found their prices to be reasonable. Maybe it’s time for another order.
A side note here, folks: Do not, repeat, do not ever attempt to dry mushrooms in your home. You will not believe the smell that will come off these little suckers. take my word for it…
Amazon coffee blow-out
Checking out the latest “deals” on Amazon and ambled over to the coffee section, because the prices at Jewel and Dominicks are sucky. There are some very hot coffee deals at Amazon (sorry for pun) so click here and see: Eight O’Clock Coffee, French Vanilla Ground, 11-Ounce Bags (Pack of 4). I actually walked through the entire order, used the subscribe and save for that 15% discount and added the code SOLOCOF5 for another 25% off. My entire shipped order came to $10.66 FOR 4 bags of coffee!
Once you’re on the page, just click any other flavor/grind you prefer and do the math. If I had not picked up so much coffee using expired/expiring wts at Dominicks and Jewel the past few months, I would be on this like a vampire on a LifeSource van.
PS: Use the gift cards you’ve accumulated through Swagbucks for free coffee!
Amazon and Mel Brooks
The Mel Brooks Collection [Blu-ray] is currently selling on Amazon for only $46.99 for nine movies! Included are:
Disc 1: Blazing Saddles Blu-ray
Disc 2: Spaceballs Blu-ray
Disc 3: Young Frankenstein Blu-ray
Disc 4: High Anxiety Blu-ray
Disc 5: History Of The World Part 1 Blu-ray
Disc 6: Robin Hood Men In Tights Blu-ray
Disc 7: Silent Movie Blu-ray
Disc 8: To Be Or Not To Be Blu-ray
Disc 9: Twelve Chairs Blu-ray
These are classic movies that your whole family will enjoy. Sitting here, I remember certain scenes and phrases and laugh.
Amazon deal
Server has been down most of the evening, preventing me from editing or posting anything, but right now I’m working on a sweet MM at Wags. Man, what a week this is turning out to be!
When I saw this on hip2save, I realized it was a very nice deal, considering you’re getting the stuff delivered! Amazon has Raisin Bran Crunch Cereal (Pack of 4)on sale for $8.58, not very earthshaking to me. When you do the subscribe and save AND throw in this 10% code (KELRTEC2), you are looking at $6.43, both before and after tax. Hah! take that Pat Quinn…
If you are not a Rainin Bran Crunch fan, just check out any of the other cereals below the Raisin Bran; the Honey Nut Cheerios and Apple Jacks are even cheaper to start with and you can still use the above code. woot!
Target deals
Target is selling Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood on a $30 temporary price cut which brings it down to $29.99. This compares extremely favorably with the $55+ currently being charged at Best Buy and Amazon. I asked DH if he played it; PITA immediately chimed in that THE BOY plays this series…who knew?
I saw this on SD and that’s also where I stole the picture…
Amazon deals
I like the way these things work; like wallpaper but much easier to put on and take off. Here’s a great price for Pooh Scenic 4-Piece Self-Stick Wall Art for $2.49 ($4.99 shipping). Check out the other wall art deals and you’ll see that even with shipping, this is dirt cheap for Blue Mountain Wall Coverings.

And for slightly older kids: RoomMates Nascar Peel and Stick Wall Decals for $1.75 from the same seller, so combined shipping, folks!
Oooh, here’s another good one: Whitmor Supreme Cart in Chrome, a rolling cart/shelving unit with Free Super Saver Shipping. This would work great for places where you need to move “stuff” to get to other “stuff.” You know what I mean, you fellow stuff-lovers.
People Pay for this Stuff???
I’m just posting this as a goof – do not even consider ordering it or I will track you down from your IP address and beat you to death with your own leg. Listerine Advanced Antiseptic Mouthwash with Tartar Protection, Artic Mint 1 Liter, 33.8-Ounce Bottle (Pack of 6) This is a Gold Box deal so it’s actually slightly less (only $28.99), but come on, where do you live that this would ever be considered a good price?
Joy dish soap purchase
Just received the following email from Amazon regarding the Joy dish soap:
Greetings from Amazon.com,
We’re writing to inform you that your order 103-9755925-9798606 from BZB Global has been canceled.
Your credit card was not charged for this order.
If you’re still interested in this item, please search for it again on Amazon.com.
We’ve included your order details below for reference.
We value you as a customer and hope you will continue shopping on Amazon.com.
For what it’s worth, it was scheduled to arrive in a window that started yesterday. I’ve complained to Amazon and completed a fraudulent seller complaint, since the item is back up at exactly the same price/quantity. If the Seller had originally made a listing mistake, it would not relist; bait and switch is my opinion. If any of you want to pursue this on your own, please use the Contact Us section with a violation of rules. Here is a copy of my transmission:
This order was scheduled to be delivered in a window which started yesterday. Had the Seller actually made a mistake, it would have notified me before it was “shipped.” Many people attempted to order this when I did, but received the out of stock/unavailable information when trying to complete their order; I was one of the lucky buyers. I just checked and see that the item is back up at exactly the same price/quantity as before. If the Seller had originally made a listing mistake, it would not relist; bait and switch is my opinion.
