more deals, no ads – makes sense

In this piece of nonsense from Coupons in the News, surveyed stores talk about how much money they’ve lost to limited inventory stores (Aldi?) and dollar stores.  Now they’re talking about offering deals, but no ads.  Are they seriously thinking a shopper will just blithely walk in off the street on the off-chance there’s some great prices?  How’s that been working for shoppers lately?  Article here.

Squirmy’s Birthday rapidly approaches


How quickly they grow 🙂  Seems like only yesterday I rescued a ~2 week old baby squirrel from the driveway and now he knocks on the kitchen door to demand chips (well, that’s a treat since it’s mostly nuts).  Saturday is Squirmy Wormy’s 2nd birthday, so here are some shots from a few minutes ago, since he might be out celebrating tomorrow with his rat cousins.  Just had a bath, which is why his fur looks poofy.
