Pita found the coffee in the regular coffee aisle, both varieties marked down to $2! When I checked out the 8 cans actually rang (after discounts) at $1.50. Mott’s was a freebie as was a tiny can of Pringles and the taco seasoning. I picked up 11 Nathan’s hot dogs as my contribution to a block party, but even though they rang as deli, the $10 deli coupon from Flavor Adventure didn’t come off – customer service refunded the amount plus tax to me. Total for everything was $13+ (subtracting the $10 deli), so I’m pleased.
I did chicken wings + cold cuts at deli. It was over $10 but the deli coupon did not work. The clerk called over another clerk, and they took off the $10.
So we both still have $10 coupons on our accounts. Part of me says I shouldn’t use it again, but the smarter part of me says Jewel’s gone insane on prices now & need to be taught a lesson. My lesson here is to go to other Jewels so they don’t catch on…until 8/31 🙂
We are getting cheep chicken tomorrow at the deli using the infamous $10 coupon! I don’t think the coupon works for anyone. A guy that works in the produce dept. also said his coupon didn’t come off but he noticed it at home. He said since it’s still on his acct, he’ll just get it again. That’s why we always do just 1 or 2 deals per transaction so we can catch any mistakes.
I bought the $12.99 bucket yesterday from different Jewel & customer service took down phone #, the coupon & my first name so she could report it to Flavor Adventure (I think). If I didn’t know how useless that would be I’d be worried, but having tried to resolve something with them (& being told to contact Albertsons), I’m going for fried chicken … maybe a little sushi on Thursday … a little nice cheese 🙂
