Focusing on the April 18, 2013 DuPage County flood nightmare (search for those posts for more pictures) is useless, so here’s a shot of what I’ll see out my side windows in another month or so.  Houses to the north were demolished and became a DuPage County Wetlands Prairie with an official metal sign!  Every year becomes more interesting, since something like 55 different seeds were planted a few years.  Little House on the Prairie – with broadband 🙂

Nice leg of lamb from Whole Foods, potatoes baked in a Mornay sauce (10 lb russets from Aldi) and about 8 pounds of organic carrots roasted in olive oil & Herbes de Provence) from Amazon Fresh ($2.99 per 5 lb bag); NY cheesecake also from Amazon Fresh and super-delicious 🙂

Carrots reduce so much that you could roast 20 pounds and they’d still fit in a large Rubbermaid container.
