Costco Groupon Deal Still Going

This Costco deal on Groupon continues.  I’m amazed there are people who don’t have a membership – well out here, anyway! Get all your household shopping done (buy a car!) and enjoy lots of samples.  Groupon deal costs the same as buying directly from Costco, but you get the $20 or $40 gift card.  The $130 Executive membership is also available and that one snags not only the gift card, but you also earn 2% back on purchases, a nice benefit (This is the card we have and sigh, use heavily).  Your $65 yearly Gold Star Membership Package includes:

  • A One-Year Costco Gold Star Membership
    • A membership card for the Primary Cardholder and one additional Household Card for anyone living at the same address, over the age of 16
    • A $40 Digital Costco Shop Card (valid at Costco locations and Costco.com)

Cheese, glorious cheese

We love cheese. Pita’s Rat nickname started as a toddler when chomping chunks from refrigerated sticks of butter, then disclaiming all knowledge.  Yes, we showed her matching toothmarks, but you can’t reason with a toddler 🙂  We adore all cheeses and the Whole Foods cheese department is a huge part of the grocery budget.  Saw this article from culture magazine and realized it was part of the DiscountMags sale for only $5.50 a year.  We’ve enjoyed quite a few of the cheeses from the various world competitions (thank you again, WF) and will probably order this, since it’s nice to know what in the case without waiting for help.  Here’s the link to the culture article, while the DiscountMags link will take you to the sale.

Cottonelle Ultra Comfort – Amazon

Cottonelle Ultra Comfort Toilet Paper with Cushiony CleaningRipples Texture, 24 Family Mega Rolls (24 Family Mega Rolls = 108 Regular Rolls), 296 Sheets per Roll, for $24.83.  I’d say it’s cheaper than Jewel, but who are we kidding here – Samplers and Nathan’s $1 hot dogs are the only draw on a Saturday for me.  When I can grab something for less at Whole Foods, you know we’ve entered Bizarro World.

3 coupons 1/26 (not inserts, coupons!)

One SmartSource insert in this week’s paper (1/26).  Don’t know how you can call it an insert with three coupons!  Not all papers carry the same coupons or values, so this national list might show coupons not found in the Chicago Tribune.  I still get it, but now grab the comics first … oh, how far I’ve descended.
