Free 8×10 at Walgreens starts today

Get a FREE 8×10 print at Walgreens with promo code COOLFREE and in-store pick up.  No info on expiration date, but it just started today, so at least a day or two. You’ll have plenty of time to pick up after ordering (they send lots of email reminders).  Always choose highest possible resolution. Most photo deals don’t work with the APP, although YMMV.

Apologies in advance for this horrible shot of Pita, but we were celebrating her birthday last weekend and it was so loud I got hoarse yelling what and repeating everything I said because it was deafening; thought I’d have some quiet time to study while she and her father played arcade games and watched screens.  More fool me.  Her sandwich was the biggest pocket thing I’d ever seen – probably a foot in length.

2 Saturday Samplers at Jewel

TWO Saturday Samplers this week, a 12 oz can of Simply pop and a 20 oz bottle of propel water beverage.  Add by Sunday and redeem by Monday.  Click on the U™ account link.  Both items have several varieties shown, although not all Jewels will carry everything.  That and the $1 Nathan’s hotdogs make it worth a stop since I’m driving right past there 🙂

4 Free Bookmarks at Walgreens

You can get a set of four for Free with promo code MARKED and in-store pickup.   Tons of templates to choose from, so I’ve just linked to the photo page – type in bookmarks!  Total will be $1.99 before code and zero after. Don’t use their APP ’cause it’s wonky.  Although I don’t see an end date, it just started today, so should be good for a couple of days at least.  You’ll always have plenty of days to pick up – lots of reminder emails. … maybe they’ll have a deal by then 🙂

2,300 pts on Amazon clearance w/ Fetch

Ibotta is great, but often the rebate won’t include Jewel or Dollar Tree and that’s where Fetch Rewards comes into play, ’cause they don’t care where you shop (even online)! Scan the receipt and if there’s an item that’s part of a bonus rebate, you get it automatically in addition to the usual points – a minimum of 25 points for every scan.  Current promotion is you’ll earn 2,000 points ($2) just for signing up with promo code WVAB6.  I will earn points after your first purchase, but nothing thereafter.  Buy gift cards for Amazon, Panera, Target, Visa and more (I’ve don’t this for years). Once you start earning points you’ll see FREE items and bonus deals pop up on your Discover page. I’ve been earning tons of bonus points just for shopping at Jewel … okay, it’s FirstBorn buying all the crap :). I will say this is pretty much the only APP I use now since I don’t have to scroll the receipt to match up deals.  Ain’t nobody got time for that.  They also have games you can play that also earn points, but I’ve never tried ’em, so can’t opine.

Stopped at Amazon Fresh just so DH could return something Amazon-related, so Pita and I naturally checked the eggs and clearance – score on the latter!  I got 10 cans of hearts of palm for 79¢ each (I left a couple, but they had glass jars as well) plus a loaf of this fancy bread they don’t normally have.  Weirdly, the receipt showed the palm hearts correctly, but Fetch read it as whole kernel golden corn.

A nice feature is being able to use both Ibotta and Fetch on the same receipt.

DiscountMags Employee Discount Sale

The Employee Discount Magazine Sale is Live ! Pay what we pay on 100’s of our very best magazines for one weekend at DiscountMags.  This title was on sale in January for only $5.50, so Pita grabbed a couple of years (we love this stuff and could happily live on bread & cheese, although Pita would insist on a few glasses of wine) – this sale has brought the price down to $4.55, a HUGE savings.  I see Cook’s Country as well.  Many are available for up to three years.

Can PIE solve pop-up commission grab?

ppod_citn-728x90

Nothing like a few dozen lawsuits to get an entire industry’s attention.

One of the few major online coupon browser extensions not to be sued for allegedly stealing online influencers’ sales commissions is proposing a compromise, and encouraging its competitors to adopt its idea before someone gets sued again.

Over the past several months, the owners of the coupon browser extensions Honey, Capital One Shopping, Microsoft Shopping, RetailMeNot, Rakuten and Klarna have collectively been sued more than 50 times by dozens of online influencers. Those influencers recommend products to their followers and earn commissions any time someone clicks on one of their recommendations and makes a purchase. But if a shopper subsequently clicks on a pop-up from one of these companies’ coupon code finders, that company is credited with the sales commission instead.  Here’s the entire article on Coupons in the News.

I can’t think of anything more nasty than putting in all the work finding products, posting about them with affiliate links (which only pay pennies, btw) and then getting cut out at the last minute by a pop-up claiming to offer a Buyer even greater discounts!  Not only nasty, but often not even true.
