Walgreens for cheap Tom’s of Maine

Very little of note at Walgreens this week, although I placed a ship-to-store order for two jars of Cantu shea butter curling product.  No use for it, but after coupons it’s just tax and a very nice donation item.  Unfortunately, it sold out for shipping between my order and shipping email.  Decided to grab a couple Tom’s of Maine toothpaste because I get tired of mint :). For this deal, you clip the $3/2 coupon and put two in your cart, earning you $3 in Walgreens Cash for each tube.  You could stuff the cart, but there’s only the one $3 digital coupon, no insert ones. I also put in a Reese’s candy bar to get over the $10 hump, great since it has a $1.25 coupon plus a 50¢ Walgreens coupon, which equals 4¢ happiness.

I redeemed $5 and will earn $6+ for both toothpastes and candy bar.

Snack packs delivered … for less

I bought a pack of Cheetos from the COD cafeteria and spent almost $1.50 – gah!  The things I do for Squirmy.  If you’re going the brown bag route, buying these quantity packs makes complete sense.  You’re locking in a lower price plus portion control.  Ruffles come in variety pack or individual flavors and if 40 is too large for you (ha!), grab a 24 pack.  But seriously, if you can’t use up 40 little packs within a month or two …

Ruffles Potato Chips 1 oz 40 count for $16.88 with Subscribe & Save

or Doritos 1 oz 40 count for $14.42 with Subscribe & Save.

2 disappointments – but clearance booze!

Update: Tried a sip of my blood orange Manhattan and about fell over – 35% alcohol! Definitely will be watering these down…all the way down to homeopathy, I think 🙂

Stopped in for a massage – busy – so headed next door to our pedi place – busy.  I’m glad to see customers returning after the brutal years post-lockdown, but hey!, I hate waiting :). Stopped in at the Naperville Jewel on Ogden & Washington to check clearance and found three cartload of booze, mostly beer and hard cider.  Pita like the cider, so grabbed those $5 suckers, while I took a 4pk of a blood orange Manhattan that normally sold for $21.99.  Seriously?  I felt weird spending the five bucks.

King Spa and Sauna $28 day pass

These King Spa deals on Groupon are always welcome – I checked back 10 years ago and the price has almost doubled, not surprising.  Surprising it’s not higher!  $28 for a Day-Spa Pass alone or $29.50 with Admission to the Base Rock Room at King Spa & Sauna. May buy multiples; services are transferable. This place looks awesome – always want to drive up here and bake for the day when I see these deals.
