Upcoming RR deals

I’m bumping this up from an earlier post at a reader’s request – anything you want to comment on, go ahead.

I’m throwing out a few upcoming Register Reward deals to allow everyone to get their coupon ducks in a row. This is only a guide for ordering, since I don’t know what coupons will be appearing both insert and IP-wise.

Week of 4/15/2012
Nasal Ease – $9 with $9 RR
Assorted Goody headbands and barrettes:  $2 with $2 RR

Week of 4/22/2012
Complete contact solution (there’s currently a $1 IP, but it will expire before this deal – a coupon shows up fairly often for Complete

5/9/2012
Tecnu gel (2 oz): $7 get $7 RR.  I have a feeling this size is wrong, since the 12 oz one works better here (it’s normally $11.99, so certainly doable as a $7 sale item).

Week of 5/22/2012
Midnight Menopause 28 ct chewable tablets :  $5.99 with $5 RR ($1 coupon in 11/6 S [exp. 5/31] and 1/15 [7/31])
Naturelief chewable tablets (30 ct):  $5.99 with $5 RR ($1 coupon in 11/6 S [exp. 5/31] and 1/15 S [ exp. 7/31])
Naturelief For Women chewable tablets (30 ct): $5.99 with $5 RR ($1 coupon in 11/6 S [exp. 5/31] and 1/15 S [ exp. 7/31])

Wags – Ogden & Columbia in Naperville

Stopped in to see if they had any Belvita or Glade Expressions – no Belvita but lots of the Glade.  Grabbed the first one – it was marked Mangosteen, so I took the gentile variety, cotton & Italian mandarin.

Seriously, I thought mangosteen was the formal name of the mango, but it’s a fruit none of us have eaten because its import as fresh fruit was banned up until 2007 due to concerns over the Asian fruit fly.  I think they use the same logic for the ban on bringing banana plants to Chicago (long story).

They had about 15 cans left on the cardboard display, so if you’re in the area, stop by and clear them out.

Wags clearance Kettle chips? – update

I picked up three bags of the Kettle Tia’s (tortilla) chips in ranch flavor – obviously like Doritos – on clearance for $1.39.  While I like FREE the best, 39¢ a bag isn’t the most I’ve spent on “healthy” junk food.  They had a couple of varieties of the Kettle tortilla chips and some bags of Indiana popcorn, but there aren’t any coupons for that.

Andrew emails that:

My WG store had the “Zesty Ranch” Kettle chips marked on clearance for .99 each.
$1/1 MQ makes them free!  (It’s the $1 in the 1/29 R1 insert – the Purina insert with the kid and dog).

Check your local Walgreens…now that I think about it, I DID see the orange tags on the shelf when I picked up my PopChips…never thought to check.  Thanks Andrew!

I’m still here!

Trying to recover from the past two days spent running deals at various Walgreens stores.  Let’s just say that it was intense…

Hope you’ve been able to find any of the FREE Glade – Lisle sold out and I never even got one!  I’ll hit up another one or two Wags over the week; undoubtedly will find them at the coupon-nazi stores.

And if you’re wondering why the Huggies deal had to end?  A special thanks goes out to the clueless Wags manager who called corporate because she didn’t understand why the $2 Register Rewards would be printing for the $2.49 Huggies wipes.  No names or addresses…but the suburb starts with an H.

Wags for today

Walgreen’s corporate sent a memo to the stores around noon yesterday saying they would be ending the $2 Huggies cat almost immediately.  Figured it would probably happen during Catalina Marketing’s maintenance and updating (between 11 and 2 am) which it did.  It’s no longer working…but we had ourselves a jolly good run, right?

Don’t forget to print out those And while you’re are Wags, pick up the FARR Glade Fresh Expressions™ Fragrance Mist (you did print the IP, didn’t you?).  Picking up a few today when I run the Seven Scenarios (like Samurai, but more valuable).

IPs – KRAFT Fresh Take, Lipton & Silk soy, almond, coconut…

People sometimes glance only at new posts and miss some great coupons.  New this morning is the .75 off KRAFT Fresh Take;  ones that showed up last night are all the Silk varieties and Lipton green tea.  Don’t forget to print out the $2 Glade Expressions for a FREE starter kit at Wags this week.
$0.75 off ONE package of KRAFT Fresh Take
$1.00 off one Silk Fruit&Protein
$1.00 off one Silk Pure Coconut
$0.55 off one Silk Soymilk or Almondmilk
$0.75 off one box of Lipton Green Tea
$2.00 off Glade Expressions™ Fragrance Mist
$1.00 off any flavor International Delight

Wags today…is it still Tuesday?

she asked in a quavering voice…Seriously, I am Huggied out right now.  Corporate sent a memo to the stores around noon that they would be ending this $2 promo.  Since it’s still running (I just picked up another 4 or 5 (who counts?) cases, my guess is they’ll end it during Catalina Marketing’s evening maintenance and updating (sometime between 11 and 2 am).

However, the Visine deal is just plain weird.  We tested all the varieties by ones and by twos and they all printed out RRs ($1 and $2).  I then purchased two original Visine and two Cortaid – I used two $2 Visine coupons and two $3 Cortaid coupons.  One of the coupons has to be marked down a penny.  Paid 17¢ tax and got a $2 RR.

Next transaction was identical with two Visine and two Cortaid.  Paid 17¢ but no cat printed.  Tried it again (thinking there was just a hiccup in the system), but nothing.  Tried it without coupons and it printed.  So honestly, I have NO idea why it’s sporadic.  Using coupons on sale and Register Reward items is standard operating procedure, one Walgreens prints in the ads, so what’s up?  Don’t know.  If you are looking for some FREE Visine (high tax), then run it without getting a Register Reward.  If you do get an RR, run over and pick up a lottery ticket.

On a separate note, Lisle Wags has all their Skippy peanut butter on clearance (in the regular shelf spot) for $2.39.  No coupons, but a very decent price (note the “regular” price of $4.79!)

2/26 Wags scenario updates

If you’re looking for another roll product, you could buy original Visine on sale 2/$7.  There’s a $2 coupon in the 1/8 S1 which brings your cost down to $3, but then a $2 RR prints out, giving you an effective rate of 50¢ each.  This could work as a flip with Belvita, if you don’t have any Belvita coupons or by adding another product – I’m just throwing this out there for possibles…don’t forget, though, that this stuff is high tax, always something to keep in mind.

Check for $2 peelies on the boxes to stretch your coupons even further.

HUGGIES IS STILL PRINTING!

And more I cannot say!  Amazed it still works, but don’t push your luck.  Lisle got in another shipment this am – don’t know how many are left (they were moving fast).  Check your local stores and clear those shelves while it’s still free.  Even without a coupon, you’re only paying 49¢ each!

And while you’re are Wags, pick up the
FREE Glade Fresh Expressions™ Fragrance Mist (you did print the IP, didn’t you?).
