post edited: Walgreens 6/16-

Been out trying to scare up some fish oil – good luck with that.  Only a few stores have any stock and they’re not sharing with their brothers…

So let’s move up a couple of weeks and see some possibilities (especially if you have your store order immediately).  I should note that I’ve now gone through the available Walgreens booklets and can’t find coupons for any of these items.  boo-hiss

Fiber Smart Clear Fiber is $9.99 with a $9.99 RR – use the $2 coupon from either the 3/10S or 4/21S.

Kios DS Upset Stomach Relief is $7 with a $7 RR – no coupons.

Hr Care Hemorrhoid Cream is $7 with a $7 RR.  I believe these last two items are new, which means they automatically appear in stores in limited quantities…we don’t need no stinkin’ limited quantities!

Colgate is $3 with a $2.50 RR.  While the ad says use the 50¢ coupon in most Sunday papers, I prefer using the $1 coupon from the 6/2S!  50¢ MM always trumps FREE.  Shandelle points out that the $1 coupon expires 6/15 (and yet another one of these 2 week coupons!)

Lots of ways to play this; right now I like the Fiber Smart RR buying either of the Kios or Hr cream together with Colgate.  You are paying $7.99 and getting back $9.99, which you will use to pay $7 + $2.50 or $9.50 to get back $9.50 ($7 + $2.50).  Right now I see the Colgate RR just spinning off, but we still have time to fine-tune this approach.  Good times!

Any other possibilities, please comment – we are all in this together, you know!

Walgreens been berry, berry good to me…

Haven’t posted much because I’ve been in meetings and picking up freebie stuff at Walgreens. Since today was the 15% discount, I was able to add a couple extra of the Butterball chicken broth to each Natrol order and/or a Diet Coke and one broth. Ditto on the fish oil side. Each swing was either .48 or .51.

Annoyingly enough, I was only able to get ten more Secret clinical strength deodorants – and that was at two CVS stores!

Making money at Walgreens this week

Great deal from reader Ashley (under Deals page) – it works beautifully! I was not aware that Walgreens had replaced their old Vitamin booklet – and I had to visit three stores to actually find the new one – but this is the new cover and here is the deal. The only change I made was to substitute the Butterball chicken broth at 50¢ a can with in-ad coupon because it’s cheaper and low tax…and my ass does not need another Snickers bar…

You need the $2 Sundown coupon from the new Vitamin book

Buy 1 Sundown Fish oil for $7.
Use $2/1 coupon
Pay $5 and low tax and get a $7 RR

Buy one Natrol Melatonin TR for $4
Buy one Crest pro-health for $2.99
Buy one Mars candy on sale for $0.59
Use $7 RR from above.
Pay $0.58
Receive $4 and $2 RR

Repeat with Sundown and Mars product as filler to use the $2 coupon and $4 reward.
Then you will be pocketing the $2 RR that says redeemable at NOT ONLY AT!!

Walgreens – I paid for Splenda???

photo.JPG by deranged.me

If you’re looking for filler items, check out the 50¢ packs of Trident spearmint gum – they’re ringing up at 12¢ on clearance, although they’re with all the other packs on the shelf.  The Palazzolo’s mango sorbetto was a brand I discovered at the National Restaurant Show – their Red Raspberry with Ghost Peppers was unbelievable!  Which is why I was willing to pay $3.49 for a clearance item at Walgreens…

On the iChill, I burned through the RRs I had and then switched to the Balance Reward points for the rest.  I mean, it’s not like I actually paid for them, right?

Rolling your Crest Register Rewards into Splenda

splendawags

Print $1.00/1 Splenda here or another $1.00/1 Splenda here and grab 100-ct Splenda for $1.99 at Wags starting Sunday 5/19 when you use that in-ad $2.99 coupon. But here’s the roll. Starting Monday 5/20: Buy two, get $2.00 RR. Buy three or more, get $5.00 RR. So if you buy three for $8.97, use three printables, pay $5.97 with $5.00 back, then you have Splenda for $.32 each.

So if you happen to have some Crest $5.00 RR around from this week, start rolling, rolling, rolling them into SPLENDA.

2 Crest 3D toothpaste + Kraft for $1.31

8746440178_72615b88c8First you take two Crest toothpastes at 2/$7, use the $1 coupons from the May P&G (4/28 version) and pay whatever balance you have plus high tax (if you have RRs, get a filler). Out pops a $5 RR.  Rinse and repeat (with a filler – I used Kraft, which was 79¢ with in-ad coupon and pay $1.31 (Lisle tax).  ’cause this RR is rolling, baby!

Found a few more totes that had been overlooked; they contained, among other nasty surprises (like the cat sitting on my head winter hat), a few purses.  Even I will not be washing and using these ’cause the entire room reeks just from the few minutes I had them out to snap the pix.  Hey!  I wonder if I should put all these photos into that Wags freebie brag book?*
