Earned 14,000 points from this one transaction – sweet! Used the Spend $30 get 5,000 points code on the front page of the Sunday Walgreens ad; BIC razors also earned 3,000 points. The Level bars are $4.29, but use coupon code 05818 (the Walgreens coupon from the current Diabetes Care booklet) and the price drops to $3.29 per box automatically. My OOP here was under $1.75 for 8 boxes of bars, 3 Comfort 3 razors and 4 Comfort Twin razors. hmmm, that total seems low, but then there was overage from the Level bar mfr coupons…

moneymaker @ Target starting 11/2
The Fall Diabetes & you magazines distributed for FREE at Walgreens has a $4 coupon for any Level Life 4-pack bars or 4-pack shakes. Normally I would not advocate clearing out the Walgreens displays ’cause they’d get pissed and why make enemies, but in this case, go for it because the new Holiday one is out and the old ones will just be dumped. The new ones are supposed to be up no later than tomorrow, November 1st.
Starting this Sunday, November 2, Target will have these bars for $4 with a $5 gift card when you buy three! Now if we can only find inventory!
Walgreens today
Buy MG217 for 5,000 points and the $1 coupon, earn a $6 RR. Use the $6 RR on the $8.99 Vanquish or JointFlex products – each earns 5,000 points – and the $3 coupons for each in the 10/19 S; I’ve been using the 4/$1 Halloween pens (with in-ad coupon) as filler. These ring up as 25¢ each, so need to buy more than one. I was earning 5,000 in points plus 400 in the bonus health points, but all of a sudden the 400 crapped out on me! phooey! Depending on your tax, you’ll pay about 11¢ for the MG217 and 42¢ for the Vanquish/pen combo. On a side note, the Vanquish coupon doesn’t scan, while the JointFlex does. go figure…
I’m hoping to find in-code JointFlex later on in the week.
Walgreens
Here’s what I’m trying to run this week at Walgreens, but I’m running into an issue with dates – two Walgreens had most Joint Flex stock expired by months. ugh. Make sure you do NOT buy the product shown in the ad – that’s the old packaging. The new one is the darker blue background pictured above.
First purchase was the MG217 for $6. Paid with $1 pdf coupon, 5,000 points and tax and got a $6 RR. Which I used to buy the Joint Flex for $8.99 less the $6 RR. Paid $3 and tax and earned 5,000 points which I used to buy another MG217. While I don’t like actually paying for stuff, these are both pretty high-value items and worth more than the $1.75, approximately, I’m paying for the two.
Walgreens MM starts this Sunday
Starting this Sunday, October 19th, Walgreens will have the MG217 1.5 oz multi-symptom coal tar gel on sale for $6 with a $6 RR. Good, but not great, so let’s print out this $1 off any MG217 product coupon from the manufacturer’s website – hold on…it’s a pdf!
I’ve already printed and tested the coupon, using various sizes. The gigantic 1 to a page print scans fine, as does the two to a page, but after that it’s dicey, since the UPC lines tend to blur the smaller and closer together they get.
it’s my lucky day shopping!
First I was gifted with this stack of inserts from last week, then PITA and I stopped at McDonalds for lunch. I ordered two double cheeseburgers and a Filet o’ Fish. They charged me for the two burgers and threw in the Filet o’ Fish for FREE. Yes, it was free, not a mistake (they told us first).
Then I hit up a few Walgreens to use up my pile of expiring RRs and found lots of clearance hair care items and PureLife organic flaxseed! Since today was one of those Spend $25 get 5,000 points days, I ran a couple of transactions for lots of items (3/$1 pocket tissues as fillers), used up all my RRs and got 10,000 points. The John Frieda products were all clearance-priced, but rang up with the B1G1 50% off like their more expensive brethren. Didn’t have the 50¢ coupon from 10/5 S, but heck, still a great trip. Was able to grab more Pantene clearance conditioners using the $4/2 printables I had with me. That’s why I always recommend printing and holding those coupons – they’re money in the bank!
Walgreens (to use up those RRs!)
Thought I’d stop in and see if the warehouse had shipped any Purelife flax…hahahaha, NO. Nineteen $3 RRs expiring on Monday and haven’t seen anything worth rushing over for. Incredible, when I remember back a few years ago when Walgreens deals were so hot I was almost sleeping on a cot in the back room!
Since I had the $2 TRESemme and $4/2 Pantene printables (Pantene no longer available) with me, decided to grab those and the tissues and gum as fillers. The tissues are always useful (3/$1) and the gum…well, I’m a gumcoholic…hello, goddess. Pantene conditioners were on clearance for $3.49 and TRESemme were sale-priced 2/$8, which isn’t too bad since these are the pump tops that Target sells for $5.99.
Paid with $12 in coupons and $12 in RRs – my subtotal was 34¢.
Walgreens
Stopped at Walgreens to check out this great deal on PureLife ground flax meal! I’d read that it was $5.79 with a $5 coupon in the October IVC. Well, yes, Walgreens carries it, they are pushing the $5 coupon…but it’s not $5.79 anywhere near me, nor is it in stock! I found it priced between $6.49 and $6.99! This is a monthly deal, so let’s hope Walgreens eventually moves out the product from their stingy warehouse. We use a lot of flax seed here – put it in all types of baking because it adds a nutty taste. Oh, it’s also healthy.
MM Colgate @ Wags – hurry!
Walgreens has Colgate toothpaste on sale for 2/$5 with a $3 RR when you purchase two – as per the ad…however, the $3 RR is printing out with the purchase of only ONE! This means you are paying $2.50 less the $1 coupon in 9/28 S and getting back double!
Note: The varieties pictured not only ring up on sale, they also generate the $3 RR – tried other varieties like Total Whitening Paste – (even though tagged) and they were NOT showing the sale price…so who even cares about them!!!?
Walgreens Bundle of Joy coupon booklet
Keep your eyes open for this Bundle of Joy coupon booklet at some Walgreens – it has $20 worth of store coupons that have paid off handsomely in the past. Expiration dates are 1/31/2015. Used to be you only found these at stores where corporate determined the demographics warranted placement. Don’t know when it came out because this is the first I’ve seen of it.
