cheap gum, no coupons – honest!

photo.JPGAs you may or may not know, I am a gumcoholic – hello, Goddess – so when I saw this possible scenario, I had to try it out…and out…and out.  And that was before I even tried the stuff!

There is a Walgreen’s in-ad coupon in this week’s ad for Wrigley’s gum for 69¢ and a 50¢ Juicy Fruit Starburst coupon in the January IVC.  Put them both together and you have 19¢ gum!  Remember, though, that this is high tax, although my total cost was only $2.40 per box of ten.  And even though the in-ad coupon says limit 3, it scans for as many as you’d like with no cashier intervention.  Actually, this whole deal was easy-peasy!

and i like it fine (well, the cherry one so far)…

FREE Brag Book @ Walgreens

These are double-sided pages, so 20 pages of photos.  A nice way to start off the new year.  Promotion ends Saturday, January 3rd.

The Saver Stamps & I’m not that clean 2fer tour!

photo.JPGWould have run the Walgreens deals earlier…but that would have required actually getting dressed and leaving the house before 3…oh, like you don’t do the same.

Walgreens has their Well Beginnings line of diapers and wipes BOGO this week.  They’re also selling for $1.99 for each pack of wipes, plus you get 1,000 points for each pack!  If you consider points money (I don’t), you’ll be paying tax.  I’ve also seen a lot of the diapers on the clearance end caps for about $6, which might make for some really cheap diapers.  I’m accumulating points for the next RR/points roll (if ever there should be one).  The tubs are the same $1.99, but I like the refill green tea & cucumber or shea butter scents and since I use them on hardwood floors and furniture, that’s what I took.

Stopped at Jewel and found a bunch of Vidal Sassoon conditioners and gel on clearance – conditioner was $2.69 (gel was less).  There’s a $2 coupon in today’s redplum, so I’ll post-redeem tomorrow.  The stuffed chicken breasts were not only BOGO, they all had $2 stickers on them!  And yes, you get the benefit of all stickers on a deal like this.  Much less than a buck for each pack.

credit to MUM – see?  I can be nice 🙂  don’t whine.

free bar soap @ Walgreens

photo.JPGWalgreens has Caress bar soap $3/3 – there is a $1 printable on the Target web site (don’t worry, it’s a mfr, NOT a Target coupon).  Free soap!  This stuff is, shall we say kindly, strongly scented.

Note that coupon reads “Limit 2.” if that sort of thing matters to you…

FREE 8X10 photo @ Walgreens

Walgreens for hair color with points

photo.JPGBoy, did I score a lot of hair color today – seriously big haul. Those rows go back a ways.  After high-value coupons on clearance prices and the overage from the Level bars, I coughed up 50,000 in points and $2.64 in real money.

Short drive-by to Walgreens

photo.JPGDriving by an out of my area Walgreens, so thought I’d stop. Grabbed six Level bars and two Olia hair colors…OOP was $1.64. And here I was all set to start using points…

I was able to score a few of the actual Diabetes Care booklets here (and yes, I mean only a few). The first four to comment will each get one booklet in the mail (don’t post your vitals, I’ll email you).  Coupon expirations in the booklet are 10/2015. Booklet contains diabetes care coupons that show up as Register Reward money makers all the time. and with these store coupons, even greater money makers…

the “I have to drop off a due DVD at the library anyway” Walgreens trip

photo.JPG
Two transactions of three Vidal Sassoon clearance hair colors ($5.29) and five Level Life bars (hey, they had a double chocolatey and a crisp version!).  Used six $3 Vidal Sasson coupons from 11/9 S and ten $4 Level Life coupons plus the Diabetes Care booklet coupon code 05818 (cashier omits 0 when entering code).  OOP for each transaction was $4.85 and I bumped over 100,000 in points.  go team!

Walgreens: grabbing those bonus points

photo.JPGI’m grabbing all the clearance hair color I can, using the $3 coupons out there (11/9 rp was a wonderful insert!) and getting the 5,000 bonus points (ends today). I’ve built my balance back up to slightly over 90,000.  Some people brag about having 500,000 or more points, but I can’t see why – it’s not like they’ll earn a trophy or a Pontiac convertible!

Walgreens hair color clearance

photo.JPGNot free, but pretty darned cheap, Walgreens is clearancing out many of the Garnier Olia hair colors to $5.29.  Use the $3 coupon from 11/9 rp for $2.29 hair color that normally sells for over $10 (I don’t say it’s worth it, mind you). Ran three transactions of six boxes each to meet the $30 threshold to earn the 5,000 bonus points.  So far I’m up about 30,000.
