Walmart, Dominicks and Jewel

and just in that order…Wanted to make certain that Walmart didn’t carry the trial size packs of Crest Whitening strips (the $10 coupon in the November P&G would make for some serious overage).  Nada.  Left with four cheese sticks and two Idahoan potato packs which added .66 to my gift card.

Dominicks was to pick up more .99 eggs, four more Hillshire sausages and six more Safeway bacon – at 2.99 a pound, it’s a great stock-up price (especially if you’ve been seeing the heights to which bacon prices aspire).  PITA picked up “a few” of the October fresh ideas magazine with the $2 Fresh Express 9 oz spinach coupons…which we then drove over and used at

Jewel, where I picked up six of the spinach, two hamburger buns and a Cabot cheese.  I used a $1 Cabot coupon from the Jewel Holiday Entertaining booklet; since it was on sale for $3.69, it came down to $2.69.  Paid $5.47 (from my trusty Jewel gift card) and got seven losing game tickets.  I haven’t check them yet, but somehow I just know…

Note here from the Goddess:  The $2 spinach coupons in the fresh ideas magazine say “redeemable only at Safeway Stores.”  Jewel-Osco policy allows stores to accept these coupons as long as they state “Manufacturer coupon” on them, which these coupons do.  If you’d like a copy of the current Jewel-Osco coupon policy, please print out this jewelosco_couponpolicy_sept2011, which I completely and shamelessly stole from Jill Cataldo.

High value Zyrtec and Visine coupons

Some very high value coupons lurking on the Walmart Health & Wellness page:  $3 off any Visine anyone?  I’m linking to their main page so you can check out the $4 Zyrtec coupon, too.  Note:  These coupons print through Smart Source, so if you’re running a Mac, switch to Safari if you’re using Firefox or any versions of it.

Friday freebies – John Frieda hair color again – OVER

The John Frieda FREE box of hair color is back!  Go through the Walmart site, answer a few questions and, if you answer correctly, you will receive – via snail mail – a coupon for a free box of their foam hair color (which two people I know RAVE about – unfortunately, they don’t have any shades for me).

Went REALLY fast.

Tuesday freebies

Free sample of Numi organic tea.  Originally set for the first 2,00 to respond…those went in an hour.  Now they’re open for business again.

Free sample of Aveeno Living Color shampoo and conditioner through Walmart.  You snooze you lose.

Free Gooseberry Patch Cookie Swap Cookbook for your Kindle from Amazon.  These
Gooseberry Patch cookbooks normally sell for $2.99, so click for free while it’s still available.  Who can’t use more cookie recipes as we get near the holiday season?  or any season, for that matter…

Free travel size of Clear & Clear Morning Burst body wash.  I got cases of this stuff last time it was at Wags and it’s my favorite body wash hands down.  As a matter of fact, my mom asked for more of it!  Anywho, print out this $1 coupon and use it on the travel size, since the coupon has no restrictions.  Coupon print limit reached

Free sample of Yves Saint Laurent Break Free for men.  Like and…oh, you know the routine.  There’s also a Win a Trip to Las Vegas contest you can enter – oh, wait, you have to enter a stupid picture for the trip.  pah  Well, at least we’ll all smell good.

Breathe Right trial packs anywhere?

Has anybody seen or even looked for the trial/travel size of the Breathe Rights?  Walgreens had them last year, but I don’t know if they still have them in stores (they’re available online for .99 each).  At Wags stores they were placed all over the place.  I’d prefer to get them at Walmart, obviously, since we’re talking significant overage from the $1.50 coupon in the 10/16 rp, but if I have to get the overage through the back door at Wags, so be it (in other words, get a whole bunchashit in the same order).

Any information would be greatly appreciated by us all …

new printables

$1.00 off any JOHNSON’S Baby product just showed up.  The $1.50 coupon that briefly graced us is no more.  Take what you can get.

Going the baby route, here’s $1.00 off DESITIN™ Soothing Rash Bath Treatment.  This appeared over the weekend.

$0.50 off 1 Scotch-Brite™ Botanical Disinfecting. I would print this out as a just in case deal on travel-size wipe packs.

$2.00 off any Clorox 2 product. Pick up the small bottles of Clorox (like you’d take to a laundromat) and your Clorox 2 pen is almost free at Walmart!

Making money at the Mart

Email from a reader that they had restocked some of the cheaper CoverGirl products at the Glen Ellyn WM, so headed on over to check it out.  You see here 16 CG items (only had 8 coupons left) and 7 cheese sticks.  Had the $12+ overage put on the gift card.  Up to almost $18, but I haven’t really been trying…

And yet another MM at WM

Completely forgot about this one, folks:  The 10/16 rp has a $1.50 off any Breathe Right 12 ct or smaller…Walmart sells the trial sizes for .97, so you’re looking at .53 (before tax) in overage for each package/coupon.  The coupon expiration date is 12/31, so lots of time to restock and/or order coupons.  Using a 10% of value guide to coupon prices lately, these would run you .15 each.  Not the best deal unless you are buying a buttload (mathematically defined as 100 or more).

walmart for cheese

I figured that by now Walmart would have restocked the CoverGirl, Nivea, Robitussin to go and the Frigo cheese sticks.  Well, I got the cheese sticks…35 in fact.  Instead of getting cash, I had them put the $5.25 on a Walmart gift card.  Let’s see how high I can get the balance before the holidays…

and yet more new printables!

$2.00 off Any Aleve 40ct or larger just showed up.  Pretty high value.

$2.00 off any LISTERINE TOTAL CARE ZERO.  The small travel size bottles are $1.72 at Walmart so more overage!  Back up the Brinks’ truck, folks!
