and just in that order…Wanted to make certain that Walmart didn’t carry the trial size packs of Crest Whitening strips (the $10 coupon in the November P&G would make for some serious overage). Nada. Left with four cheese sticks and two Idahoan potato packs which added .66 to my gift card.
Dominicks was to pick up more .99 eggs, four more Hillshire sausages and six more
Safeway bacon – at 2.99 a pound, it’s a great stock-up price (especially if you’ve been seeing the heights to which bacon
prices aspire). PITA picked up “a few” of the October fresh ideas magazine with the $2 Fresh Express 9 oz spinach coupons…which we then drove over and used at
Jewel, where I picked up six of the spinach, two hamburger buns and a Cabot cheese. I used a $1 Cabot coupon from the Jewel Holiday Entertaining booklet; since it was on sale for $3.69, it came down to $2.69. Paid $5.47 (from my trusty Jewel gift card) and got seven losing game tickets. I haven’t check them yet, but somehow I just know…
Note here from the Goddess: The $2 spinach coupons in the fresh ideas magazine say “redeemable only at Safeway Stores.” Jewel-Osco policy allows stores to accept these coupons as long as they state “Manufacturer coupon” on them, which these coupons do. If you’d like a copy of the current Jewel-Osco coupon policy, please print out this jewelosco_couponpolicy_sept2011, which I completely and shamelessly stole from Jill Cataldo.
My Dom’s doesn’t have that Safeway bacon, I was so bummed. THey only had the Farmland and the Open Nature. The OPen Nature was like $6.
