Walmart’s Value of the Day: Eight 50-qt storage boxes for $37

Untitled 4
Walmart’s Value of the Day (similar to Amazon’s Deal of the Day) is this set of eight 50-quart storage containers for $37!  Ship to store for FREE pick-up (check out money-making coupons while there!) but if you’re totally rushed for time, have it shipped to your house for free with a $50 order or $4.97 alone.  Still cheaper than the normal $43.76 price.

Four colors: Risky Lime Tine, Orange Curry Tint, Red Currant Tint and Grey Flannel Tint.

Walmart for tools…pretty in pink

Walmart has this Essentials 32-Piece Tool Set in Pink for only $19.88 – have it shipped to the store for free!  A nice gift for an apartment-dweller or for minor home repairs.  How about giving it as an awesome Christmas gift for a girl-type person?

Shop Ultra @ Walmart

Stopped at Ultra for the BIC razors, Degree deodorant and my rain check Era…’cause they didn’t have Era last week…and they didn’t have BIC razors or deodorant this week.  Frankly, I’m a little tired of Ultra always being out of stock on sale items.  They may not have a limit in their ad, but they sure put a limit on rain checks – and Ultra just isn’t that convenient for me. Much easier to price match at Walmart, where they usually have stock and greater variety.  Picked up a few more TRESemme $2.50 shampoos there, too.

and they give me cash back…I used overage from the Schick razors ($3 coupon and $1.97 razors) to reduce the cost of the Shrek DVD.

updated shipping info from Walmart.com

Received this email from Walmart earlier today. Since I use the free store pickup option for the most part, it won’t affect me, but it may impact your shopping patterns.

Starting today your shoppers can enjoy Free Shipping on orders of $50 or more, Free Pickup in-store with site to store – no minimums, and Free Returns in-store or by mail! These updates apply to all eligible items – excluding photo, pharmacy, tires, Marketplace, freight items and Gift Cards. Please see the guide below and urge your shoppers to shop and ship away at Walmart.com!

Out and about shopping this afternoon

First stop was Walgreens, to pick up a few of the Advil PM freebies – nothing. Found a few more of the $1 Rimmel eye shadow coupons (9/15 rp) and stopped at Dollar Tree; these are purely donation items and since I planned to stop en route to drop the French’s flavor injector marinades and Beneful Healthy Smile dog treats, figured why not get more “stuff.” And imagine my surprise to see Advil PMs on the board by the registers!!  So if your Walgreens doesn’t have stock, head on over to Dollar Tree!

Today is the last day for the 38¢ Kraft mac & cheese Ultra price match at Walmart, so I picked up another 24 (12 for each of us).  The Glen Ellyn Walmart has a much better selection than Ultra – in fact, it has about six times more than the Bolingbrook Supercenter!  Weird.  There are a variety of ways to make mac & cheese:  add a can of chili, corn and tomato sauce or add a couple of cans of tuna and smoked paprika…

Last day for 88¢ Era at Ultra – Lombard was out so PITA and I each got a rain check for two bottles.  The Dove deodorant 98¢ sale extends into next week’s ad, but since I was there anyway… I used the $1 coupons from 9/29 rp at self-scan and paid high tax minus 18¢ – oh, like you wouldn’t have done it, too!

Update: Disney Infinity Starter Kit (PS3) only $12.96 – hurry!

OMG! These are HUGE! I thought they were little video games but it’s a whole set. I hope you all got at least one set – they’ve bumped to price to almost $75 now.

Walmart right now has the Disney Infinity Starter Kit for PS3 down to $12.96 with free in-store pickup or $4.97 shipping. This is insanely low!

It’s currently out of stock online, but still available in stores.   Pick a store close and hit ’em hard!!!

Free dog treats & cheap detergent

My special order of Beneful Healthy Smile dog treats came in at Dollar General; a couple of hundred packs, which was split with another person. This stuff is high tax, so I ended up spending over $8 for 105 packs. Obviously I don’t have 118 dogs (shut up, Rachel), so the majority will be donated to the food pantry, ’cause sometimes it’s hard enough to even feed your pet, let alone getting treats.  And hey, we all love our treats, don’t we?

Also stopped at Ultra for four bottles of Era (two for PITA and two for me) for $2.07 each (more high tax).  Was going to pick up the Kraft mac ‘n cheese, but they had very limited stock and selections, so we’ll just price match at Walmart.

Out and about “shopping”

photo.JPGThe free lettuce at Dominicks was too disgusting to even bother with – I mean, who wants to eat iceberg lettuce?  And the package that said romaine?  not.  But I did get the free jar of Herdez cooking sauce on my JFU, and, since I was just driving by anyway, it wasn’t a complete waste of a trip!

Stopped at a couple of CVS stores for more Oral B toothbrushes & heads – those are the ones that PITA uses, so a great stock-up deal.

Walmart for price match on the Kraft mac and cheese – paid for with the overage from the Gax-X.  Sponge Bob…you can dress them up but they’re still kids at heart…

Did not see the 50 oz Era here, but again, mine is a very small WM — it does show up online for $3.97, but don’t see store info.  But again, the last time I saw store info (Domino Light), the store not only didn’t carry it, the grocery manager said they had never carried it…

Oh, and I made almost $3 on my Walmart shopping trip.

Gas-X is huge MM at Walmart

20131012_115408Tomorrow’s Smart Source has a $10/3 coupon for Gas-X (exp is 12/31, so lots of lead time).  Take it over to Walmart where the Gas-X Extra Strength 10-ct sells for $2.44 every day – get back enough $$ to pay for your price-matched Kraft mac n cheese!  Remember, you’re matching the Ultra sale price, but Walmart has a whole bunch more varieties to choose from!  I’m definitely doing a stock up on this and probably grab a couple of Era laundry detergents for 88¢ each.  You could also start stocking up for Christmas with the overage…

Put the toys, games, etc. on Walmart layaway.  Every time you stop in to pick up more Gas-X, you put the overage on your layaway tab.  By the time Christmas rolls around, you’re completely paid up!

Why do I have so much laundry detergent, anyway?
