Free razors with WM price-match

photo.JPGThe Schick Hydro 5 and Hydro Silk (both cartridge and disposables) are on sale at Food4Less for $2.99, limit two; additional ones are $6.99 each. Use the $4 coupons from 6/8 S for free razors. Buy three and your subtotal is $12.97; use three $4 coupons and pay 97¢ plus high tax.   If you’d rather go the WalMart route, price match and run the above transaction as you wish or stop with two razors for $5.97 and get back cash in hand after the $8 in coupons.

Surprisingly, all the Hydro 5’s were ringing up with the sale – even the sets with 2 bonus cartridges.

Ultra PM @ WM

photo.JPG Ultra has Palmolive & Ajax on sale for $1.48; you can drive over there or bop up to Walmart and have them price match. Obviously the latter is much easier, especially if you’re looking to buy more than a few. I only picked up twelve, which would have been the Ultra coupon limit, but if you love Palmolive and have lots of coupons, Walmart is definitely the way to go.   I used the 50¢ coupon from 5/18 S.

In my case, the twelve bottles were $19.05 before coupons, $13.05 after and 52¢ when I used an old gift card from a prior money-making deal. Their actual coupon policy is to hand cash back for overage, but I’ve always preferred to either pay for things that aren’t usually sale/coupon items or have the amount transferred to a gift card; what works for me may not work for you.

Walmart Value of the Day: Avatar Blu-ray/DVD bundle only $9.96 (75% off)!

UntitledGet the Avatar Blu-ray + DVD bundle (Widescreen) for only $9.96 as Walmart’s Value of the Day – list is 39.99!  Buy it online and pick it up at the store of your choice and pay no shipping; toss a few more items into your cart to get up to $50 and your shipping will be FREE.  That’s the easy-peasy way to shop!

“Avatar” takes us to a spectacular world beyond imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on an epic adventure, ultimately fighting to save the alien world he has learned to call home. We enter the alien world through the eyes of Jake Sully, a former Marine confined to a wheelchair. He is recruited to travel light years to the human outpost of Pandora, where corporations are mining a rare mineral that is the key to solving the Earth’s energy crisis. Because the atmosphere of Pandora is toxic, they have created the Avatar Program, in which human “drivers” have their consciousness linked to an avatar, a remotely controlled biological body that can survive in the lethal air. Reborn in his avatar form, Jake can walk again. He is given a mission to infiltrate the Na’vi, who have become a major obstacle to mining the precious ore. Jake is taken in by a beautiful Na’vi female, Neytiri, after she saves his life. As Jake’s relationship with his reluctant teacher deepens, he learns to respect the Na’vi way and finally takes a place among them. Soon he will face the ultimate test as he leads the Na’vi in an epic battle that will decide nothing less than the fate of an entire world.

Mattress & platform rollback at Walmart

Untitled Shop Mattresses on Rollback at Walmart.com!  Some very nice-looking and sounding mattresses here; free delivery, too.  DH has been bitterly complaining lately about his back pain caused by the sorry state of our mattress – well, it’s roughly ten years old. Offered to put him up on a friend’s couch, but he’s probably gonna get a new mattress and stay here.  darn it…

A Tale of Two Retails

Photo.jpgit was the best of stores and the worst of stores…with apologies to Mr. Dickens

4/6 redplum has a coupon for a FREE (up to $1.99) .75 oz tube of Poligrip.  On shelf at Walgreens they’re $2.59, online at Wags they’re $2.29, on the way to Walmart…$1.88.  You know where to use these coupons now.  These are low tax, so make wonderful donation items – – ’cause yes I still have my teeth, thankyouverymuch

Interesting that the coupon is such a low value this time, because it’s gone up to $2.60 in prior years.  Oh, and Walmart has restocked the Hydroxy shakes – – they’re now $6.98.  My coupons are safe in their holder.

Back on the Walmart payroll & more free Tide @ Jewel

Photo.jpg

Wanted to run a price match on the El Monterey breakfast burritos but the Glen Ellyn Walmart is such a clusterf**k during construction that you go from being carded for booze when you first walk in to being asked if you need help to your car by the time you check out.  Sucks the life force out of you faster than raising children will.

I “only” had six of the $5.00 off any two Almay Cosmetic Products, but used the overage from the make-up removers to grab a couple of bags of taters, Tootsie Roll Pops, a Hello Kitty notebook and a birthday card for PITA – total OOP was -$5.39, which I had them put back on my gift card. Still no Hydroxy shakes on the shelf or in the back.

Photo.jpg

Stopped in at Jewel because I had a few more Tide coupons to use.  Jewel has the breakfast burritos for a buck and used the $1.00 off any one El Monterey Breakfast Burrito, so free, and definitely not worth my time and gas to drive to Meijer or a larger Walmart for 12¢ overage!  I got $1 overage from the $3 cheez doodles printable (1 day coupon offer only), used one $2/3 and a bunch of the $1 Tide printables.  OOP was 94¢

Stopped at the Lisle Food Pantry to drop off more Caress soap and some plush toys for Easter baskets; told them to expect some nice things to come their way from the April 19th coupon/stockpile swap at the Lisle Library.

and if you’re making money @ Walmart anyway…

Photo.jpg

Meijer has El Monterey breakfast burritos on sale (through Wednesday in this area – but check your weekly ad) for 88¢.  Use this $1.00 off any one El Monterey Breakfast Burrito printable to get them for FREE.  I prefer to price match at Walmart, mostly because it’s much closer plus I get 12¢ in overage on each.  Remember, you can print two coupons per computer.  And if you’re heading out to Walmart anyway, check out these other FREEBIE and MONEYMAKERS here.  If you don’t see the Hydroxy shakes on the shelf, ask them to check in the back – I got 3 packs that way ’cause no one had bothered to restock the empty shelf!

And the $5/2 Almay coupon returns!

The $5.00 off any two Almay Cosmetic Products coupon has returned.  No, it’s not a reset, just added wording to include cosmetic removers…possible huge moneymaker if you can find those smaller size plastic jars at Walmart.  Last time the shelf price was about $1.15, but again, it got to be a game of hide and seek.  Well, if you’re out there looking for the Hydroxy chocolate shakes anyway…

$5.00 off any two Almay Cosmetic Products

Here’s a picture of the jars I picked up for the same deal at Walmart last April.  I used the overage to buy Jasmine and Basmati rice (I’d rather take product).

Target, Walgreens and Walmart shopping (see, I can alphabetize!)

Photo.jpg

Target has the Ice Mountain still on sale for 50¢ per 1L bottle – coupon is out of print but I was diligent in my earlier printing!  Target has Starkist Tuna Creations on temporary price cut for 99¢ each – all varieties, from what I could see, including some with no seasonings at all, for you purists.  Use the $1/2 mfr coupon from 1/5 S with this $1/2 Target coupon and get ’em for free!  I’ll pick up more later in the week when I stop for more water.  Using my REDcard brought down my OOP to slightly over $2…for 12 bottles of water and 8 tuna pouches.

The $5 Hydroycut coupons work very well for free shakes at Walgreens but even better at Walmart where they are currently selling for $3.98!  I prefer taking product over cash so grabbed a couple of bags of tater tots…’cause who doesn’t need more of those!?  Only down side is that Walmart only carries the Chocolate Fudge flavor, not the vanilla one.

Photo.jpg

Don’t forget that the Mucinex allergy 5ct boxes on sale this week for $7.50 at Wags, have a $5 mfr coupon in today’s Smart Source together with a MIR.  If you’re going the MIR route, you’ll need multiple receipts.  Each box awards 3,000 points, so a great way to not only use up RRs from prior weeks but rebuild your points stockpile!  Remember that if you use points to buy a points item, you’re SOL.  In this case, I grabbed quite a few incredible clearance items for all those $1 and $2 RRs to attach to.  Always check out clearance end caps – they are our best friend!
