PM Kraft mac @ Walmart

photo.JPG Posted this on Facebook earlier in the week and decided to take my own advice! Stopped at Walmart and picked up 12 boxes of Kraft original mac & cheese, showed the Jewel ad and paid 29¢ each – no muss, no fuss.

So if you’re trying to stock up on the greater weight original boxes, Walmart is the way to go.  Of course, you can always stop by Target starting Sunday, and pick up 5 boxes at $1.04 each and get 5 boxes free.  Works out to be 52¢ a box and you can be sure that any deal requiring 10 boxes per customer and limit 20 will be out of stock at 8:03 am.

Scooby-Doo Frankencreepy (Blu-ray) only $3 (88% off) – preorder now!

Scooby-Doo!: Frankencreepy (Blu-ray + DVD) (Widescreen) is currently available on Walmart.com for only $3 – list is $24.98.  Grab this pre-order price (comes out on 8/19) before it jumps up to match the other Scooby-Doo titles.  I have to admit I have a soft spot in my heart for Scooby-Doo and the rest of the gang of meddling kids.  As a pre-order, you will not be charged any shipping, only tax.

Scooby-Doo and those “meddling kids” Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma are back in this all-new original movie! Velma discovers she’s inherited her great-great-uncle Dr. Von Dinkenstein’s cursed castle in the terrifying town of Transylvania… Pennsylvania, that is. Just when the Gang persuades Velma to go claim her inheritance, the ghost of Dinkenstein Castle blows up the Mystery Machine as a warning! Now the Crew must spring back into action, but this time it’s personal! Who’s responsible for the Dinkenstein monster? What family secret has Velma been hiding? Will Fred recover from the loss of his beloved Mystery Machine? Can any helpless snack survive Scooby and Shaggy’s monster-sized appetites? This Scooby-Doo adventure has enough spooky fun to make the whole family come alive.

2 Bonus Episodes: “A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts” and “To Switch a Witch”.

Dr. Pepper – take it away!

photo.JPGGot back over $50 – – which I will use to pick up a few Coke 12-packs at Jewel for $2.50 each. Which will make FirstBorn happy (what! why are you bringing back all the Dr. Pepper?)

Dr. Pepper/Walmart eGift Card blowoff

screwSince I never heard back from Walmart after their initial FB response, I called Dr. Pepper customer service…who basically told me that this wasn’t their promotion, they had nothing to do with it and I should be talking to either Walmart or the company running the promotion.  I pointed out the obvious – Dr. Pepper was paying for part of this promotion or Walmart would be pushing Coke and Pepsi.  Total brushoff and unless it’s a MM (’cause I’m not stupid), there’s not the slightest doubt in my mind that this will henceforth be a Dr. Pepper-free household.

The Backyard Bash promotion page is still up and running – you’d think they would at least have updated the page, right?  No phone numbers under the Contact tab just a generic email.

Walmart has one of the worst phone systems I’ve ever used (and that includes the Trib), since you are unable to access a human being using any of the phone’s buttons. The “official” Walmart Customer Service number put me on hold for over 10 minutes while I banged my head on the desk while listening to sleazy 80’s porn movie music. Had to go online to find a number that actually would lead to a human (and still I waited 6 minutes).

Walmart customer service said that I can always return the pop to the store (DUH), but I said that’s a burden I’d prefer not to carry.  Then she said “At this time they are not going to do anything about the promotion.”  So I’m going to load up all the pop and take it back.  Thank god Target’s been hot all summer…

Total BS

Dr. Pepper/Walmart $10 eCard – dead & crooked

photo.JPG

Tomorrow is the last day to send in those Dr. Pepper receipts for the $10 Walmart eGift card.  Buy five 12-pks, price-match to Jewel’s new ad price of $2.50 and submit your receipts to the Dr. Pepper Backyard Bash and received a confirmation email almost immediately.  Another minute or two and you’ll eceive the link to the gift card.  You can submit the receipt via text or email.

Here is the FB comment (modified for each site) I left on the Dr. Pepper and Walmart sites:

Your Backyard Bash promotion with Dr. Pepper where you buy 5 12-packs and receive a $10 eGift Card has apparently ended, although the site is still up.  As far as I’m concerned, this is false advertising, since you don’t say the promotion is over until someone has actually purchased the 15 packs of pop (limit 3 offers per person) and submitted the receipts.  I’m bringing ’em all back to get my $$ and will grab some Diet Coke at Jewel.

Note:  Walmart eGift cards can be used at either Walmart.com or the brick & mortar stores!  You can submit up to three eGift card requests.  Means the actual cost will be $3.41 for all five 12-packs…my kind of shopping!

Really cheap Dr. Pepper @ Walmart!

photo.JPG
Through 7/31, Walmart has a Buy 5 Dr. Pepper 12-pks (any variety) and get a $10 Walmart eGift card.  I bought five 12-pks, sent this photo of the receipt to the Dr. Pepper Backyard Bash and received a confirmation email almost immediately.  Another minute or two and I received the link to the gift card.  You can submit the receipt via text or email.

Note:  Walmart eGift cards can be used at either Walmart.com or the brick & mortar stores!  You can submit up to three eGift card requests, so I’ll use the 1st card to pay for the 2nd card and so on.   Means the actual cost will be $1 + tax per 12-pk…my kind of shopping!

If you find a cheaper price anywhere, bring in your ad and have Walmart price-match it.

photo.JPG Was able to print four more of the Clorox 2 $1 coupons and really didn’t feel like driving back to Menards, so hit up Walmart, where I also picked up three more Schick Hydro 5 razors. For those who’ve asked, WalMart coupon policy doesn’t require you to physically have the ad for the store you are price-matching, but I’ve always brought it along…just in case.

For the Schick Hydro 5 razors, while these were not one of the two pictured in the ad, they were ones that I’d picked up and posted about, so I had pulled up the post on my phone, justincase.  Getting three razors instead of two (paying $6.99 for the third) eliminated the coupon overage, resulting in my paying $2.16 OOP ($1.23 of which was high tax).

photo.JPGNaturally I believed the friggin’ weatherman who said the rains would be coming over the next few hours…yeah, got hit just as I left Walmart.  Rain coming down so hard it was difficult to see Rte 53.

I price-matched the Ultra ad for the 2/$4 Arm & Hammer 50 oz laundry detergent (used two $3/2 printables – no longer available) and the Food4Less ad for the $2.99 Schick Hydro Silk disposables, then used two of the $3 disposable coupons from 6/15 S. The Hydro Silk razor that takes cartridges is also part of this promotion, so use the other $3 coupon from the same 6/15 S insert.  Walmart shelf price is $9.97 on these babies…
